If you cannot see anything when you wake up from your bed everyday that tells you something about the nature of God then congratulations! You cannot even explain how a single strand of hair on your head can be created yet you are So confident, so sure, so absolute that there is no God, there is no beginning and end in time. Many intelligent people have taken your very "sound and reasonable" road, trust me you ain't the first neither will you be the last to doubt the existence of God. Keep the fire burning, "do what thou will".......its all a hoax...there is no God.

Nobody said we came from Nothing, nobody said the Universe is from Nothing. These were red herring positions you fathomed us make. We (especially from myself) don't have the contention that the Universe came from Nothing. What I concern myself with is the very important question of 'why there is something rather than nothing.' That is a genuine and enduring question which even religions struggle to solve. We all could easily not exist, and there should be a reason why or a reason why there must be a reason.



Yes, the Big Bang is said to be a result of some phenomenon. But at the point prior to the beginning of our Universe, we have to question everything we know and our empirical parameters. All our assumptions and understanding of causality (cause - effect relationship) has been under scrutiny in quantum physics, our understanding of time, of space almost absolutely lose meaning. Whether the Big Bang is an effect is also in question.

But for simple minded folks like Emmalot121, our basic assumptions are irrefutable. He does not know causality is an assumption we make and he can't afford to shake it out of his mind hence he creates the human - God!

Like he said, for there is nothing like something from nothing. Big Bang tells us that the universe originated from some elements, how did does elements come about? Something must have brought about those elements, don't you think?

Think of God as the origin....like God just popped out and everything as we know them started pumping out from God....before God, there was nothing (as we know nothing to be)....

The most interesting part Emmalo121 has talked about is the unknown true nature of God. He has said, God is unknown to us therefore it is not within our grasp to say who God is. But I wonder why he keeps saying God is the beginning of time when he does not truly know God!

Some guy on this thread thinks it's unlike a 'black man' to write something like this. He thinks it shows weakness. Well, that's his philosophy and a warped one at that. I intentionally wrote this to 'upset' people like him. A real man is not afraid of showing and expressing his feelings.

Someone ( Yangki Christine) wrote this somewhere and I wish to repeat them here. Every person is born with qualities of the opposite energy (masculine AND feminine) within him or her— and not simply in the biological sense, but also in the psychosexual sense of attitudes, feelings, dreams and desires.

That is wrong. I think the Bible was referring to a particular deity. It was even given a name called Yahweh,am i wrong? This particular deity described by the Bible had a peculiar characteristic which includes being vicious,control freak,jealous and always angry. Yahweh could also be referred to as an extraterrestrial. How could you describe that as an infinite being?

He cannot be used for someone without gender,that is a wrong way to put it. When a baby is born,you use "It" until you are sure of it's gender. Therefore,when you use "He" for you God,you are trying to say your God has muscle-line qualities.

When you describe your God,you have personified and quantified it. Then your God becomes finite and not infinite.
