Of himself?! Everything. Like I said the true nature of God can't be known. I am expecting counter questions from my proof, not asking me to tell you all about God. |

Kay17: But above all, he is a HE. That's his Achilles heel. He is anthropomorphic, he is seemingly human. He is used to represent him in Bible because it is in this view of him that we can have a clue of him. We are image of him and not otherwise. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Absolute Proof Of God's Existence by Emmalot121(op): 11:34pm On Nov 22, 2014 |
Kay17: Yet this God takes all the semblance of the human. He is the Who that starts everything, but no ONE to start him because if he had a beginning, the entire sequence of creation will have to be followed by a endless chain of many Who-s. God is a classic case of anthropomorphism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphism). If God was not given the characteristics of a human being then HE would become an IT. If we stop finding answers filled with HEs, we will make more progress. He has no beginning because he is the beginning. |

As for your who's question, when you break a piece of yam, won't you get to its atom? There is origin for everything. The origin of our universe is something and that something is God, the beginning and the end. Like I said the comprehension of God is beyond human reasoning. |

Atheists argue that life popped out of nothing, therefore God is not needed in the equation. They are quick at using M and B word. They say Earth is billions of years old and man is millions of years old and evolved from tiny organisms. They have refused to give us detailed reasons why it took so long and every process man took, if possible catalyze the whole process, subsequently giving us a human being . Let me use the experiment that Galileo Galilei used to stun the entire world of science; the experiment that every object falls at same rate when air resistance is absent. To do this, we have to pump out the air to give us a vacuum (though logic tells us the vacuum is something, the absence of air molecules gives us a perfect example of nothing since we are only concerned about the air molecules and its emptiness.) Through this experiment, we see that for nothing(absence of air molecules) to exist, something must have triggered it. What if we want to get our air molecules back(a very important component of life itself)? Should we wait for a few days, months, years or centuries for air molecules to pop out of nothing? A sane mind will realise that something can't come out of nothing but nothing can come out of something. This proof singlehandedly shows that the genesis of the 'faith' of atheists is shaky. Since its now being proofed that life started from something and not nothing (even nothing must come from something,) we can then try to highlight the properties and characteristics this something must possess: 1) Must be called God because everything was created by him because without him was anything made that was made. 2) He must be infinite because he is infinity, he came from infinity, therefore he has no source, neither can he have an end because he is infinite. 3) He must be all powerful and infinitely intelligent. The works of his hands are sufficient proof. 4) He must possess properties beyond normal, properties beyond our wisdom e.g an invisible Spirit. People will wish to argue this one but Hebrews 11:3 says: Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that "things which are seen are not made of things which do appear". This applies to everything in the universe, including you and this knowledge is applied in the making of televisions and phones. |

Family › Re: The Boy-child Should Also Be Domestically Inclined!!! by Emmalot121(m): 10:35pm On Nov 20, 2014 |
homesteady: are there boys who are not domestically inclined? from what I've read here, the bone of contention is about cooking! is cooking the only domestic work in the house? so if there are 5 children in the family, all of them should be taking turns on when to assist the mother in the kitchen or all of them should be in kitchen while the mom is cooking?
I believe that in every African home, there are assigned domestic works for every child, except some very rich ones who have maids to attend to every work! boys - sweeping the compound, washing and ironing his father's cloth and maybe his junior ones cloth, washing car, running errands, e.t.c girls - COOKING, washing plates, sometimes sweeping the main house, washing her mother's clothes and some minor things like napkin!
in fact, most of this works are given based on seniority, you don't expect the 1st born to be sweeping and the last born watching! You are right. There are so many chores no matter how simple that my sisters detest doing e.g switching on the generator. Some years ago when cutting of weeds, fetching of water was part of the chores, I did the most cos it was manly. My dad still cuts bushes around our house, even after mom said it was not to someone of his status. See, nature has given us our duties and that's what laid the foundation of Ile-Ife. Its left to us to carry out our duties diligently. |

nomabeeee: I learnt how to do a lot of domestic work while I was growing up..if you will agree with me,mothers are only concerned about their girl-child being domestically inclined. They teach their girl-child probably because they feel knowing or doing domestic work is meant for just the female..
I personally don't agree to the fact that domestic work is meant for only the female..I think mothers should also teach their boy-child domestic work too..if you can teach your girl how to sweep, clean, cook,do the dishes and laundry then your boy should also learn that as well..it goes a long way..
The importance of the boy-child being domestically inclined is that when he grows up,he stands on his own. That knowledge helps him take care of his personal needs not to go about looking for someone to do it for him..this is my opinion... Why are people still dragging this irrelivant issue in 21st century? I heard this story when I was a day old, xx yrs after, the story is still repeated as if its never being heard. Let me educate you, if a boy is domestically inclined, that doesn't mean he's gonna help his wife(ves) in kitchen. Far from it! Helping in kitchen is a thing of choice, a person who has never being in kitchen can still help his wife(ves). Knowing how to cook and do house chores only makes you independent of female gender. The best cooks in the world are male, if they weren't thought to cook, who did? Enough of trying to make men look sober over matters that do not exist. There are a lot of spoilt women out there who cannot cook and do house chores, if there are differences btw number of males that can cook and do house chores, it can only be marginal. |

happywife: I need advice on how to cope with a cheating husband.
I have always suspected that my husband was cheating on me but confirmed it recently when i found some condoms were missing from our home n his bank statement showed payment for a hotel when i was away on a short trip .when i confronted him his stories ranged from his friend took it to i was mistaken in my counting n to i went to the room but changed my mind n left without doing anything. but his behaviour showed he was sorry for about 2 weeks then back to normal. problem now is i cant bring myself to trust him n my love for him is reducing daily.when he comes home late from work or doesn't take my calls all i can think about is that he is with another woman. To be honest it's killing me slowly cos i find myself calling him n quarrelling with him constantly.
I dont think i can leave him cos he cheated on me cos lets face it most men do i just need advice on how to cope with my emotions cos i m soo unhappy n its affecting every area of my life . Sometimes i feel like paying him in his own coin but i m a one man kind of babe.
I just want to concentrate on my kids now but how do i cope with being suspicious all d time n being jealous n bitter n a whole lot of emotions thats killing me. It is in the natural nature of men to sleep with as many women as possible. If you pay him in his own coin, you are only giving him an avenue to cheat more, if you divorce him, I assure you that he can marry another woman the next day, leaving you with the '2nd hand' stigma. Wore off is the fact that you will have to contend with the weight of being a single parent and a very high possibility of not having another husband. Call him and iron it out. If you see that he can't change, allow him to have sex, regulated by you, which must be well protected and occasional. If you really wish to continue staying under the protection of a man, just submit to his will, and pray for him to come back home. Nigeria is strictly patriachal. Remember, if you throw a stone in a market, it might just hit your relative. The best way to overcome temptation is by falling to it wisely. Thanks. |
