This should be a good move in the right direction. We have had enough of ASUU rascality. Are they the only union in Nigeria? Nigerian students are being traumatised daily and ASUU is acting as if nothing is going on. Can they be considerate and give the FG the benefits of doubt instead of wanting to destroy everyone's life. The FG should as a matter of urgency takes drastic actions to deliver Nigerian students from the grip of ASUU who are acting as intelligent bandits. |
With this rate of defections into the PDP, both APC and the Obedient people should give up already. |
Meaning that Gov Wike and his co-conspirators should back down. |
So, he never knew he was an orphan before molesting the minors. Why was his face blurred. If he can do the crime, he should be willing to bear the consequences. |
Nigerian police, always quick to harass harmless citizens. The IG has instructed that no police should check anyone's phone, but they will never listen. The second day of their reckoning is fast approaching like the end sars days. |
Things are beginning to get out of hands. For a medical doctor to indulge in this kind of crime shows that no one should be trusted in totality. The other day, a reverend sister was caught with kidnapped children, now this. Is the Doctor implying that the cab driver is doing well more than him? Perhaps the Doctor should have consulted the cab driver on how to explore transport business in order to improve his standard of living. |
Good for them. How I wish their demonic national body will allow them to operate. |
As a matter of urgency, the reverend King should seek spiritual help in order to put a stop to his marital failures. The king should live by example by having a stable marriage. The king should not emulate ASUU that can't sustain a STRIKE free academic calendar. |
When will Russia Federation send their good will messages to the new British Prime minister and her new government? |
Someone should please serve FFK his meals already. |
When will Russia federation send their good will message to the new British PM? |
ASUU should be paid half salaries, so that they too can feel the pains Nigerian students are going through. As rightly stated in this release, by not paying ASUU at all will have negative effects on the students. The ASUU that I know will nag and frustrate the students if they are not paid. |
It seems no one could be trusted any more. Even the servant of God are now involve in nefarious activities all in the name of money. |
Someone that knows their previous salary scale should please tell us the implication of this new increments. |
Hunger nah him mate? ASUU should leap before embarking on selfish strike next time. |
FG and their endless committees. Several committees for the past six months yet no head way. |
That is the bane of the problem. ASUU are always quick to compare themselves with the politicians forgetting that academic is strictly different from politics. ASUU should not mix academic and politics together. Is either you are an academician or a politician. Moreover, most of these politicians are already wealthy before venturing into politics. |
Agonies shall befall all enemies of Education in Nigeria. |
Head slammers and their love for intolerance. They are never in support of freedom of speech and association. Something like this can't happen in western world, most especially in Europe and in the US. Yet, the terrorists apologists see the European and the Americans as their number one enemy. |
She ought to have study the political atmosphere in her surroundings before openly declaring for Obi. Perhaps her boss is not Obedient hence part of the reasons for her sacking. |
Both the FG and ASUU are still beating round the bush for the past six months with no concrete solutions to their impasse. At this point, the interest of the innocent students should be considered, as time wait for nobody. ASUU should be willing to compromise and not always want to have their ways. |
President Jonathan, you are the real president. How I wish you could use the same magic you used then to save Nigerian students from the grip of both present APC and ASUU leadership. It seems we no longer have a government that cares. |
As a matter of urgency, president Buhari should replicate this approach so as to end this strike. If Buhari could interact directly with the ASUU leadership, perhaps ASUU could reconsider their stands and give peace a chance. |
This is one of their own telling them the plain truth. This prolonged strike is causing more damages to the already battered Education system in Nigeria. The best way out is still dialogue, but it is left to ASUU to accept a more liberal approach in resolving disputes, which is to resume work while negotiation continues. |
Effort in futility |
ASUU is also complicit in this 'loggerheads'. According to feedback from Dr Ngige, it was noted that ASUU asked the FG representatives to recuse themselves during the renegotiation meetings with the prof Nimi Briggs committee, thereby denying the FG the opportunity to participate fully in the collective bargaining that ASUU had with the Briggs committee. |
This is more reason why ASUU will never back down until they received their share of the national cake. ASUU are only interested in more money and nothing else. Perhaps someone should tell ASUU that there are signed conditions/agreement with the US on what the recovered Abacha loot should be used for. Even if ASUU want more money, should they hold everyone to ransom? Their struggles could still be achieved while they continue working. |

ASUU president is only denying his earlier statement in order to save face. He knew that he goofed when he made those reckless utterances. The utterances caused serious dissatisfaction among ASUU members, hence the rebuttal. |
These are audio resignations. ASUU is only raising the alarm to coerce the FG into doing their biddings. Perhaps they went on vacations till their demands are met by the FG. The lecturers have more to gain than just quitting. |
Judging by the ASUU president body language, one could say that the ASUU president is being partisan. However, with the level of frustration that ASUU is getting from the FG, ASUU could go haywire and be ready to act as spoilers for the government. Buhari tricked ASUU by promising them heaven on earth when he was seeking to become the president, only for him to reneged after the election. |
This ASUU strike has done more damages than its projected benefits. For hkw long will both FG and ASUU continue with this grandstanding! |
