Anyone knows a reasonably cheap hotel around the airport?

Well, no hotel around airport would be less than 10k but you can mek arrangement for a cab to take you to the airport. If you leave Lekki at 4am, u can get to airport at 4:45. That should cost u about 4k. U are saving more than 6k which is something. But if you have the money, I'd advice, take your time, go to airport road and check out the hotels there and their rates.... But know that paying hotel is one thing, u will still need to pay a cab to take you to the hotel from Lekki and another cab like take u to Int'l airport.

Just my thoughts though.

Background check is most likely done by an external body called CSIS and not by your visa officer. Visa officer await recommendation or clearance from CSIS before updating our status. Its good to know that a decision has already been made on our file at the first review stage while the VO awaits background check report before updating our final status.

The reason why most applications get stucked apt the BG check stage may be because security report from csis is not yet out. Sometimes your travel history can be a reason for delay because they will have much information to verify with the countries you have visited.

You may need to wait till the end of processing time before you can start sending mails.

So Sir, what you are saying in essence is if your application takes for ever for background check to be passed, it means your criminal records oti poju? And those with less than 4weeks processing time, dey no commit crime at all before.

I didn't pay tuition and living expenses. Expecting they will request us at some point during my application review to do that.

Right now he is ready to pay my tuition and transfer cash to my account for living expenses.

My question is, what will be the best option to transfer cash to me for living expenses without incurring huge cash lost due to Nigeria exchange rate.

I didn't go into details about myself cos i feel this is purely cash issues and he is my source of cash.

Guru pls throw more light on this.

Hey Boss, first of all, i'll say sorry for your delay. But delays with reasons such as funds is usually very easy to tackle.

Follow these steps;
Open a pouds sterling domiciliary account, e.g with GTB. Tell ur bro to transfer the money into it. Within the course of last week, I personally had some funds transferred from Barclay's into my GTB pounds dorm acc. With this, you will only pay charges. You will present your bank statement and his own as well. He can pay your school fees from UK while he transfers your maintenance funds into your Dom acc. It won't be taken as lump sum deposits if u note it in your letter of explanation too while he does same in his sponsorship letter. Exact figures and dates of funds transfer should be quoted as well. This should solve the problem.

Please I need your help, I got admitted in Niagara College. I was told to pay first sem tuition fees which is $5000, my friends told me if I paid the tuition fee and the embassy denied me student visa the school will not refund my money they we advise me to apply again. Please is it true?

Hello Boss, no body in this forum is an official of Niagara College, why not go to the school website, get a contact there and contact them in person via an email or call, get 1st hand info.

Hello Sir. For any admission, there are requirements and prerequisites that you must meet to gain admission. Go through your school website, under the admission requirement section, look at what they need and act accordongly. If they need a transcript, I'd advice you contact UNILAG Academic Records and have them send your transcript to Lambton ASAP. There's always deadline to admission application, so the earlier the better.

Don't be confused..... Does it mean your medicals hasn't been passed till date?? Its almost a good news that will land you in your trv. Reply their mail telling them you did an upfront medical, if u still hv the form scan and send it to them, while you contact the hospital to inform them CIC hasn't received your medical result.

This should solve the problem.

I then checked the VFS Global website and inputed my tracking number and got the information that my processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office Accra on 03/08/2017 to the Canada Visa Application Centre.

Best thing to do is to go to VFS office and pickup your passport. I applied same day 9th June as well, paper route. Just be hopeful.

Why is it that most people who did not put down their names on the TRV hopeful list for Fall come in to share their Updates - Both Delayed and Approved. No hard feelings and not against any great testimony as we are all longing for some positive response sooner than later. But......

This goes to the silent readers/followers..... Please update the house on your application. So that it won't seem as if IRCC is totally forgetting some of us here, when they are actually busy updating the silent followers of this thread.

if you were a visa officer wouldn't it be easier for you to see someone with a straight forward application like that as a genuine students?

Some people in the clinical sector go for professional courses after some years of clinical practise. Since most of the time, Research Master degree programmes dont add much to the people who are into purely clinicals as this is purely academics but Professional update courses and CPDs go alone way.

How about that?

Not sure if my assumptions are true but it just what have noticed.
It seems the younger folks here get TRVs easily, with their straight forward "air-tight" applications. E.g. those with 1yr and less post grad/NYSC work experience going for their Masters get their apps accessed faster and their TRVs come in faster as well, than people with 5, 6years and above wealth of work experience, their application passes through thoroough scrutiny.

Just some wild assumptions.... Don't know sha. From the little have notice on this thread.

So guys I found out my application was rejected because I didn't pay tuition fees...that it was perfect until then. I basically covered home ties and every other issue apart from that. Anyways I have asked to defer my admission and will pay tuition fees. I heard it is an unwritten policy that you must have paid your school fees though it doesn't guarantee you the visa. Good luck guys

He will not just initiate the funds transfer, but you will also have to show proof of relationship and some convincing reasons why he wants to sponsor you.

Just exercise patience. I will advice, do not travel until you've been able to sort out ur biometrics. This is really nothing to workup yourself about. You can only worry If after say 2weeks, you still havnt been calledup for Biometrics.

Sir calm down. Biometrics doesn't come immediately. It comes a day or 2 later. So relax. Meanwhile, is your application for Fall? I asked cuz paper app would safe d day as you can attach ur upfront medicals and biometrics at once.

Except the VO was sent by village people

I love the payment of rent aspect....thats serious faith that the VO had no option but to approve o cos getting refund for accommodation no b here.

Hello sir, I have seen a delayed trv even on Full tuition payment and full rent as well. CIC only approves trv if everything is equal, ie. the applicant meets eligibility. Payment of rent doesnt count. Don't pay rent thinking it'll be of advantage to ur application. Even school fees payment is not required traditionally by CIC. But some schools do require fees payment to secure your admission. And its of late (dis year) CIC started requesting for proof of fees payment and funds export just because of the new CBN regulations on Foreign currencies/transactions. Read d Lagos Visa Office Form, the one that comes with a questionnaire for paper route application.

I have seen some moniker on this thread shivering on how to send CIC proof of money export, even without being requested of him. OYO is his/her case. I strongly wouldn't advice that. Making his/her look desperate.

I just tot I should share so that it wouldn't be confusing to newbies.

By tomorrow, your app should be in Ghana, so u can link. I submitted on a Friday evening abt 6pm, and on Monday morning before 7am, I was able to link successfully at just one trial.
