Why are people submitting their transcript to VO? I thought transcript was only meant to be submitted to the school u are applying to for them to give u admission? Ur degree certificate is enough
No need submitting things that are not required for study permit and implicating urself in the process
If you are doing a paper application, one of the Forms that contains d questionnaire, for specific visa office instructions - Lagos, states that those stuffs are needed; like, transcript, NYSC Cert, Birthcert of all Siblings, i think landed/shares documents and many other things we may consider irrelevant.

Please I need help with online .. I used gcjey and I tried making the payment .. it said declined .. but on the cic account it shows payment processing .. please anyone .. there's also a deadline on the payment ..
Hi there,

When did u try making this payment. Recently, GTB increased their international payment from 100 to 1000USD a month. So with a GTB Master card, u should be good to go. Better still, open a GTB USD Dom Acc and fund it. Get a card for the Dom Acc and pay for it. It should be okay.

Regards.

To the best of my knowledge, current processing time applies which is 15weeks. Forget about what it was showing back when you applied. cheers
Why should we just "forget" about it?

If it had no meaning or significance, why did CIC waste their time to be updating it weekly?

Why didn't they just put 15weeks and leave it at that? I remember, there was a time it was 19weeks.

Pls just answer these questions, thanks

Cheers

Hey guys......

This one na serious question o.... on CIC website, processing time changes every week. At 1st, I used to think that the processing time for that week is applicable to those who applied for that week.

E.g. around late May, with the 1st 2 weeks in June, processing time was 13weeks..... And approaching ending June, July, it turned into 16weeks. Now if applied when processing time was 13weeks (say May ending) does it mean that as we are in July now, my application of 13weeks estimated processing time (as at when I applied in May) will turn into 16weeks (July)??

Pls Gurus, help..... Cuz this is confusing. What are your thoughts??

I appreciate your input. But is there really no chance of us getting approved at the same time. What else can we use as home ties. And how much would we both need to declare
Ma'am, I believe you should adhere to the advice you've been given here. Its coming from experienced people. That is why u are seeking help here.
1) Let your husband apply for hid TRV after your marriage in Sept.
2) When he's settled, say 1month after resumption, u can apply for SOWP, say Feb. U have a 95% chance of joining him.

This is not to say that no two couple can apply oo. A moniker once said here he/she applied with spouse and they both got Visas. Now its about the Grace you carry to make a VO believe that after studies, he'd return home (9ja) with you and how much is in your account. Just know that available funds should be enough - the fraction left from ur Hubby's sch funding, Upkeep of 10k for him plus additional 5k for u, I think. I no near guru level.

Just my thoughts. Success in what ever you decide to do.

For somebody sponsoring himself...how much should you have in your account as your bank statement? The tuition for the course is $14,000 and its a two year course.
Would be grateful if anybody could help me shed some ligjt on this. I'm getting ready to apply for my visa for January.
14 x 2 = 28kcad Tuition
10 x 2 = 20kcad Maintenance fees

Anything short of 48kcad (N12,028,150.11 @N250.59/1cad - current exchange rate) in your account, CIC may likely refuse such application based on Insufficient funds.

Reasons being that, it's expected that you won't be working in Canny while studying, and you do not have any sponsor who has a current source of funds should u only present the 1st year's tuition/upkeep fee as it's usually recommended by CIC.

Did i fill this form wrongly....

Gurus in the house, pls say something. Since it wasnt asterisk (meaning it's not compulsory to fill the space) I felt i could leave the space blank, so I left it blank.

I am feeling concerned about the space I left blank for boarding and others. Though funds available is more than 10kcad after tuition fees deduction. But besides I had paid 8kcad out of the 28k for 1st semester fees as instructed by institution.
Good morning Bosses,

Can I have a response to this. Though it's not like I can change it grin But I will just know.

I have a B.sc in Business Management and going for a Post graduate diploma in Business Administration - Human resource mgt major. And all my work experiences have been in line with office administration.
A master degree would have been a best-fit...

I know these guys always feel that it's almost useless to go for PGD when you can use that same amount of money paid for PGD tuition to enrole for a Master degree programme.

The feeling is demoralizing.... Cheer up, and reapply.

Sorry about that. Just put yourself together, repackage your application, then reapply. It is Well
I feel He/She should think about securing a Master degree admission... before reapplying.

But it baffles me cuz i know that even in my profession, there is no Master degree for it in Canada, even in most countries. We have advance diploma which will still require a B.Sc in related field to gain admission. E.g Cardiac and General Ultrasonography, etc. There's no Master degree for these programmes, but Advance diploma. And to some colleges, it takes about 3yrs to complete the programme.

They don't understand that not everyone really needs a Master degree.

But i remember one time like dat a Moniker posted here that he applied on the 3rd of Feb, and on the 23rd Feb his approval came in. He applied for a PGD.

#Confused angry angry huh huh huh

Just explain to them that you are responsible for him.
Lol.... But this is funny. @Peaceful,004 does your bloodgroup and genotype match that of ur parents?
In a family of 4, it is very possible for all of then to hv different blood group. About genotype, it depends on family history of HbSs dx. Be guided.

e pain me say I didn't see your post earlier. I dey office since dey play sebi I for come meet u. Officially resigned from work.
It's good to know that u are taking bold steps to resign and face studies. I know some people cannot leave such jobs with such remuneration especially in this our current Nigerian economy, but something greater is always there ahead. Some of us are often times too myopic to see it.... With regards your 1st official post/query, I'm of the opinion you think towards completing your programme, get a good job and then apply for PR. You'll get it sharpenly with good PR high point. Just like that grin

Safe journey to Canny town... We dey come behind you ASAP.

Good day house.

This is my first post here, I have tried to read through earlier pages of this thread, you'll have been doing a great job here.

I need clarification to ascertain if I can apply for EE. Below is my profile:

I am 29 years old and single

I recently got study permit for a two years master's program (Control Systems) at University of Alberta in Canada to commence 5th of September 2017.

I am currently working in a multinational manufacturing company here in Nigeria and recently got an outstanding appraisal report that sees my pay upto NGN 550K monthly.

I have four years experience in the field of Control Systems (Automation Engineer and Instrumentation Engineer in two household name multinational firms).

If I go for the masters I would sponsor myself, and the cost is quite high. But with a PR the cost would drastically reduce.

Now the questions:

Is it possible to start the application for EE entry while I am already in Canada? (As I plan to get my transcript sent to WES before leaving for the masters program)

would you advise based on the experience of those already in Canada, I quit my job for the masters with the hope of securing a PR and good job over there?........CC @Mazuide,Austinpee4,Osemigho, Just wise and the full house. Please my friend needs advice on this.actually he posted it on EE thread. I brought it here for advice
Hello Wealth,

I am no way close to being a guru... But this is from a friend who's now a permanent resident in Canny from the PR route.

He completed his 2yrs Masters programme, got a 3-year work permit, and on the 2nd or 3rd year of working, he applied for PR, which he eventually got.

I know these things - a completed study programme (M.Sc or Ph.D) especially in Canada and work experience in Canada plus a valid Job offer in Canada shoots up the PR points of an applicant.

Just my suggestion, I feel if you follow this sequence, you will get your PR with ease.
