charix:
I guess the '96' in your id is your birth year hence the use of the word 'niggas' despite claiming been mature.

Ok lemme read your post and give observations.

1. Yes, a system of news verification should get implemented especially when posting topics from the politics section. A time once existed when if rumours and uncertain news were posted it was always indicated in the thread title. I guess that period didn't last past one or two months. Too many times news gets posted as fact from the politics section only to get countered with the real account not up to an hour later.

2. I agree with you on this but frontpage selection is done mostly from a business standpoint. This site was built and still stands today because of posters on the politics section; it provides the average disgruntled man on the street a chance to vent his anger regarding the government and do it in a way a large audience can view it. Once in a while our grievances if loud enough gets heard by politicians and effects change. Knowing that alot of people continue the cycle, waiting for their chance to get heard.
Also, other sections don't move traffic or engage discussion. Personally I prefer health related topics but it seems the moderators on that section need to get sacked because the highest amount of spam on this site appear there.

3. I swear this is one practice I hate a lot on this forum and if you check you'd realize its always the same accounts doing it. Why this problem has not gotten countered yet, I don't know. I'm beginning to feel some people benefit from the practice. I tried reporting the ones I come across but it looks like a wasted effort for something I'm not paid to do. I support your idea of a month's IP ban for people who do this but since there is no IP ban on this site they just log in using alternate accounts and continue.

4. This would not stop as it leads to arguments, arguments lead to rapid post replies and creations which lead to multitude of views even if by only two people but those views eventually lead to revenue for the forum. Greed would not allow any sane person stop cashflow even if detrimental to others; man must wack any which way.

5. The site owner believes moving a post to frontpage is motivation enough. I believe he can do more but anyone seeking my advice should pay me, I've made no money from all my time here and thought put into commenting.

6. Surprising enough there's scrutiny of posts before they make frontpage. Think of frontpage threads how a newspaper appears and it'd make sense. Oftentimes senseless posts hit the frontpage but they're done to make people complain through posting to voice displeasure thereby leading once again to revenue.
Topics should come from all sections but the ones you mostly see hit frontpage're the moneymakers i.e. those guaranteed to make people comment.

7. Sometimes newbies make the mistake of posting threads on the wrong section. If done knowingly or otherwise I suggest you call a moderator's attention to move the thread to right section.

That done. At age 19 you should read your books, play sports and chase girls rather than spend all your time on nairaland. Being here allday is a waste of valuable time although you learn something new on certain occassions.
Am not 19 am 22 and a graduate of federal university of technology minna (computer sci) I make my money being online and trust me Some men at 30 are still yet to ascertain half of my worth at my 22 I don't mean to brag but let GODs name be praised using the words nigga doesn't make me 19 all my accounts online were opened with that name it came and started from 2go....dont forget to always make money tanks for ur contributions tho

@ emmanuel596....lalasticlala is a supermod that can move any worthy Topic from any section to FP so don't hate him,he's just doing his Job grin grin

Create a worthy thread and cc lalasticlala, before u know it you on FP (if worthy) grin grin

I don for try for u tongue
Crap....countless of my post have made fp and it didn't added any kobo to my hustle I got better things to do than creating topics to enrich other people's blog and struggling to always be first to comment....# the day nairaland will pay you for commenting first I will double the pay grow up....mind you I said I hate the name not the person
Politics › What Moderators/ Administrators and members Of Niaraland Should Know by emmanuel596(op):
1 topics should hit front page (fp) based on merit and relevance of post and how important such post should be to nl users....these days people just wake up from sleep and post trash and fake news on nl and we sit and watch it make front page thereby causing calamity on nl and fools with same thoughts with the op will bombered such post with irrelevant comments.... the recent one is some niggas posting trash and making comments like (lalasticlala and suen do the needful and before you know it such post will hit fp personally I hate the name (lalasticlala) it irritates me
2 80% of topics hitting fb on nl only comes from the political, jokes and celebrities sections of nl thereby neglecting the other sections like health, cars, education, technology and youths forums I know other people might not be interested in the same thing but for the sake of foreign viewers of nl and other mature peeps like me I feel topics hitting fp should be randomly selected from all sections of nl
3 I don't get paid by being on nl from morning till night but I must say I hate the way individuals illegaly advertise stuffs on nl a topic might be on politics and instead of having good comments you will see people advertising life stock and shoes on such topics nl moderators should suspend peeps who post such things from posting or commenting on nl for a month as purnishment so others can see and learn
4 nl should not allow people/ post that only comes at insulting other religions and tribes so as to promote peace and unity among Nigerians and nlers
5 I think nl should compensate and acknowledge people who always comes up with good topics and writeups to inspire others a section should be created to give credit to such individuals
6 pls topics should randomly make fp from all sections of nl based on merit and relevance not by shouting lalasticlala and lady f pls do the needful
7 we should all be mature and tolerant and post topics on the right section so as not to confuse visitors and new members of nairaland a good topic must surely hit fp and get views you don't need to post a health topic on politics section just to gain views and comments as we don't know who's watching our comments and behaviour on nl GOD bless us all I wish our Muslim brothers a happy sallah in advance

What's there to advice huh Your boyfriend said u should buy him something and he'll pay u back when u enter naija. You should have even offered to tell him not to bother paying back and bring it as a gift but that aside what's wrong with it?

***modified
OK av read the rest of the story.

Well maybe a girl should answer this. As a guy I see nothing wrong with it, we give girls gifts all the time. Even when they say they'll pay back and deep down we know they won't we give them anyway. If u don't trust him then u Ave no buisness calling him your boyfriend. If you can afford the n97k but don't want to give him cos you think it's too expensive then politely tell him so.

Abi ladies Wat do you think? Tearoses, MarvellousGod?
Your response are very immature you sound like those lazy boys that will gladly shine ur brown teeth wen ur supposed girlfriend spends on u dats Wat lazy dudes like u want if u can't give her a good advice shut up...babe don't buy that shoe maybe he just wants to milk you dry and he's already bragging to friends that he has a maga and the shoes will be evidence to prove.....93k could pay medical bills for some1 reasonable noodles worth 93k would go round boys and girls hostels of some university in Nigeria.

After a weekend that seemed soo long and filled with inpatients and many gullible stories and dramas between the CCB and sariki.... the judge who wanted to stop sarakis case in court today is a corrupt man I saw it in his face and I wonder what punishment he should get for trying to do so. our judiciary is weak and bad I wonder how the fight against kurroption will be achieved with all these thieves who will b judges that will still handle case of their partners in crime....but how do you think sarakis case would end today? will he make it out of this? Will democracy truly prevailhuh Share your views

1 they are always mobed by fans who may either steal from them or embarrass them
2 if they attend church services their presence will distract worshipers as 80% of the congregation will have their eyes on the celebs and notice every move they make
3 the preacher/ preaching of the day will be diverted towards them, the gospel might even be twisted just to please the celeb
4 when shows are organised and celebrities are invited to come and perform gate fees always applies to gain entrance into the venues so imagine same seen in church
5 most of their shows falls on weekends and they may be too tired to attend church services
6 nigerians have this mentality of worshipping and always trying to copy celebs so their coming to church may corrupt the minds of young youths who will want to dress and bleach like most celebs
7 celebs are always time contious because their time is money and would not like to waste time in church
8 most celebs have pride and don't wanna associate with common peeps but on the last day GOD will be the ultimate judge

I dnt even knw his name.. ehen back to my point..No1 even recogbizes him wen he enters church (COZA)..cos evry1 in my church is a celebrity and we take out time to celebrate ourselves even without a camera roll..even desmond elliot is a hon member in my office..nobody dey send am..this is lagos
If celebrity misbehave for road sef, just like any other normal citizen, he wud be given shit....its only in villages or rural areas dt ds so called celebrities are overly hyped
When I talk of celebrities I don't talk about those that leads chorus in church....look at the pictures there well

If we could recall back when sanusi raised an alarm about GEJs fraud and dizianis looting of NNPC fund summing to about $28 billion ....sanusi saw the wrong deeds of GEJ and his evil cabinet members when sanusi wanted to expose GEJ he was sacked and acquisitions were on him that he was the one who stole the money and funded boko haram with it today we have seen and heard of soo many fraudulent deals GEJ masterminded with Alison his side chick I don't know why PMB is still wasting time to do the needful..

I know some idiots will still come and hail their wicked hero GEJ that would have finished nigerians /nigerias treasury if he had won the 2015 elections...please suggest the best punishment for GEJ and his army of looters squard
