In as much I can't see myself using an iPhone, you can't really say those using it are wasting their money. Same can be said of people using Android phones of over 200-250k, it is not waste of money. What we want in devices matters, for me I can sacrifice battery life for a powerful chipset. Battery doesn't even come to my mind when buying a device as a daily driver as I can top up from 0-100% in 90mins or less.

I know alot of people with iphone. like in my apartment we're 5 and 4 of them have iphones I'm the only one with Samsung, and believe me the only good thing they use their phone to do is take pictures. mine has alot of capabilities that theirs don't have. Sometimes i do something with my phone and tease them saying their phone can never do it.

iphone is overhyped, I'm not judging thosr that buy it because it's their money. but the reason they buy iphone is solely because of the camera which to me is just well sorry to say, dumb

I recently switched from the OnePlus 5T to the Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus after seeing good reviews about it and here are my thoughts:

1. I will never ever spend my money on any Samsung or Apple phone in my life. China phones have really stepped up their game.

2. It has a longer battery life (4000mAh) than the OnePlus 5T (3300mAh).

3. Its processor speed isn't as fast As the OnePlus 5T but it sure keeps up speed.

4. It's camera and video quality is just ok, but the OnePlus 5T has an excellent video and camera quality when compared.

5. Gaming experience is equally as good as the OnePlus 5T.

6. It costs almost $400 less than the OnePlus 5T but seems like a perfect budget friendly flagship phone or backup phone.

I bought the OnePlus 5T for about $559 while the Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus cost me only $160.

7. It doesn't have fast charge like the OnePlus 5T but you can reach 100% from about 5% in about 2hrs 10 mins. The OnePlus 5T does that in about 1 hour.

8. If you like large phones, the Redmi 5 plus is slightly larger than the OnePlus 5T but the 5T has a larger screen to body ratio than the Redmi.

Attached is the pictures showing the battery life as well as screen on time for two different days. Note the percentage of battery left in the screenshots.

The OnePlus 5T can only boast of an average of 5hr 30mins of on screen time but the 4000mAh battery of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus wins in this area. It can average a 9hrs onscreen time easily.

My opinion: stop chasing the hype of iPhones or Samsung phones, both of which I can afford. I chose to stop wasting my money on brand names when I can easily get better phones with better specs for hundreds of dollars cheaper. It is called being penny wise. My opinion.

personally i despise apple because yhey keep on increasing the screen size and better camera I'd agree, that's all and jacking up the price.

Our midfield is bereft of technics and creativity that is why i am endorsing a trio of Ndidi Iwobi and Mikel (aka N.I.M) with Mikel and Ndidi playing behind Iwobi. Iwobi has shown to be more lethal and powerfully clinical when played as an AMF.

this has always been my ideal midfield.

and i know ndidi doesn't sit infront of the defence. let him do what he does best, he has the stamina to be going back and forth

the only defensive football laced with counter attacks I enjoyed were the types played by Romania in USA 94 and Valencia in 1999/2000 season because of the flair in their movements

i wasnt even born during the romania time. and for 1999/2000 i think the only football i watched was probably supet eagles and maybe arsenal.

mourinho's style is all about efficiency. he will sacrifice 75% possesion and win the game 1-0 with a vicious counter.

Just watched the team's press conference. Mikel, Iheanacho, Lokosa, Idowu and Uzoho were represented.

Mikel was very assured and confident (without being arrogant) and says, he hopes to be the first Nigerian captain to lift the WC. You can tell that he has a winning mentality.

We have to go the WC with that mentality. That is our best chance of doing well. Self-belief, togetherness and grit.

Nothing to add really.... These were indeed our very best today. Chidi Nwakali even showed another side to his game with his driving dribbling runs... Really impressive...

Omoyele had presence up top. Fine fine player. He even bagged an assist sef....

Samadi was magical in the first half with his touches, runs, and passes... Crested two beautiful chances wastes by Eduok and then later on by Destiny Ashadi.


Usman mohammed was great too. He grew into the game after a shaky initial start after coming on. And his goal was OH MY GOD!!!!

Musa Mohammed showed that we still have depth on the right even in our fringes. He was very lively... Defended well... Went forward well, recovered fine... He led well as captain on the day.


The rest pick themselves up. My MOTM on the Nigerian Side is Kelechi Nwakali.


Thumbs up to Salisu's Super Eagles Team B. Overall, they did well. Lovely game.
