Nairaland General › Bini Oba Says Ikwerres And Etches Typical Igbos. by emmi14(op): 5:23am On Jun 05, 2024 |
BINI OBA SAYS IKWERRES AND ETCHES TYPICAL IGBOS:-
The late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa Akenzua, in his book 'I remain, sir, your obedient servant' narrated his years as a district officer in the Ahoada District of the former Eastern Region Nigeria.
He resided in Eastern Nigeria, particularly the Rivers Province, and specifically the Ahoada Distict from 1954 to 1965. The Adoada District was the "Igbo" district of Rivers, although it also included two non-Igbo groups: The Abua and the Engenni.
The other groups of the district were the Etche, Ikwerre, Egbema, Ogba, and Ekpeye, the igbo people.
In the book, Oba Erediuwa - who at the time was Prince Akenzua - mentions that the Ogba, Ekpeye, and Engenni had traditions of onces sojourning in Benin, and he said that the story is not captured in Benin history, it was a borrowed culture and therefore they are of igbo origin and however, he said the Ikwerre and ETCHEs were pure Igbos.
Ironically at that time no Ikwerre man, etche man, ekpeye man, egbema, Ogba man has claimed to come from Benin. If you are Ikwerre, etche , ekpeye, ogba, ndoni, ndoki, egbema and you are propagating this falsehood of bini descendants out of hate the enemies of the igbo race fed you, stop decieving your self , it can never see the light of the day. We are all igbos
Akalaka, who was an Igbo man who led a migration of Igbos out of Benin of multi-ethnic Benin Empire gave birth to Ogba and Ekpeye, and that's why you can see trace of bini minor tradition. Ikwerre, egbema , etche, ndokis, ndoni, Opobo, are pure igbos and never migrated from anywhere Go read specifically in the 2nd page....in that book my obedience servant. This is written by an oba of bini. Why are we decieving ourselves....... I am from omoku Rivers state.... I am a proud igbo man. we are all the great igbo race. |

ValCon888: I'm not in Nigeria, so I cannot relate. Still, from here, it's obvious the CBN has ordered a directive to mop up excess liquidity in circulation. And that is the reason why physical naira is hard to come by.
Nonetheless, most Nigerians are unaware of their rights. A typical Nigerian will open an account, pay different types of bank charges, and yet cannot withdraw their hard-earned funds from the bank ATM.
That by itself is a breach of contract, and the customer has every right to sue that bank for the non-performance of their obligations. Where do you suggest citizens should take their case to? Supreme court or labour court? |

Btw, you guys are celebrating out of ignorance and it’s so laughable. It’s a shame you guys can’t read Atiku’s interview and understand perfectly. If you guys can’t learn from what played out between Atiku, Wike and Tambuwal at the last PDP presidential convention, then you can’t learn Nigeria’s politics again.
To be clear, a desperado like Atiku is definitely not going to support Peter Obi. Both Atiku and Obi knows this. He simply want Obi as his running mate. Atiku will contest for president and not back your Obi. Know this and know peace. What if he supports Obi's candidature? Am still suprise that a normal person can still give Tinubu his support |

DeepThroater: How can you value your entire economy and currency on that of another sovereign nation's?
Here lies the problem.
The sooner we ditch the dollar and diversify our FX like how GEJ attempted the better we be.
Also GEJ proposed opening up a trading house in Lagos for our oil to be priced in naira.
When that proposal was floated , a Swiss Govt sponsored report came up with the fabulous lie of missing $50bn oil revenue to which Sanusi (a BlackRock appointee as VP Africa ) quickly vetted the unsubstantiated fake dossier.
The enemies of Nigeria are more from within than outside. You have nothing to say. You are still talking about oil. We need more transparent investments outside oil. |
