Ignore the razzmatazz of Police and army in Orlu. They were empowered by the state governor to make Orlu a no-go area. The rancourous governor sees old political foes from Orlu and dish out a war of arrested development in the area.

Can you quote the section of the road traffic act that prohibits tinted glasses?

And please stop encouraging bribes or whatever you call it.

It's people like you who have emboldened these rascals in uniforms on the highway.

Know the law, have your vehicle papers intact, up to date and all information therein correct.

No policeman born of a woman go yarn rubbish if you have all the above.

Let us stop encouraging rubbish and enabling rubbish.
Thank you sir. Please give me the section of road traffic act.

In school one of my homeboy just bought a car, we were 3 in the car I was in the back seat cruising along bank road Owerri, all of a sudden a SARS hilux double cross us,
Come down shouted the jnr officer, we all came down, I wasn't really scared cos I had my ID cards with me,
Where is your drivers license and other car documents requested the officer, my homeboy showed them all, he bought the Toyota camry in him mother's name, them cudnt kind anything against us, so they switch tactics,
Then goes the killer question, there is your tinted glass permit, homeboy was tryan to explain with no evidence, nest thing was a resounding slap, having all 3 of us panicking, he stylishly signal me to remove the key from the ignition, which I did and disembarked. I took a bus straight down to my hostel,
After like 3jrs I saw the same hilux, driving to our hostel, fortunately I had the car keys with me, Naso I fling the keg to the SARS officers, jump fence escape. After 2 days my guys were released they spend over 200k, cos the officers accused them of being cult members.
Madness get models. This is case of madness.

Since you know all these, then what's the question about? Don't know you're just creating content for Nigeria. I take back my advice. Meanwhile, giving them what you can so they don't waste your time is only a choice as it has always been with me. You can as well decide to quote all these laws to them and drag it but one thing I know for a fact is, you're not suppose to intentionally tint your glass when there's a law against it. There's a reason why the permit was banned in the first place.
What is the reason? I was embarrassed yesterday by police at orlu, Imo state enroute Lagos to Umuahia in Abia state.
My residents is Abuja, in Abuja tinted glasses are Normal following IG's regulation on tinted glasses. No permit for tinted glasses. I spent 1hr with the police at checking point.
I asked the police if he is federal police or state because he denied knowledge of abolition of tinted permits.

That is the right thing to do but because of ethnicism and bigotry, they will not. Buhari destroyed the economy which they all knew and never spoke a word against it. We must stop patching up this country and let us go back to confederation. 1963 Constitution had been the best for this nation. I am very sure that after the repositioning of the economy and 8 years of southern president, another northerner will come there to draw us back again.
Draw you back to where? Listen Nigeria is more backward now than Buhari era. Let your Tinubu at least position Nigeria where he picked it.

“The money the airlines are saying that they are still owed is money with the commercial banks and not with the government, because commercial banks are private. They are not government entities,” Akporiaye added.

If FG had not cleared the backlog, this revelation may not be out that banks owned by private individuals are actually the one withholding some of the funds that made airlines withdraw the low-priced tickets.

EFCC should move into this matter before these private individuals frustrate the progress the FG just made in this area of bringing back the low priced ticket.

A lot of us are selfish. We have absolutely no plans for those yet unborn. 1st world countries had this in mind many years ago that's why you're all japaing there and there's accomodation for you.

What would be the fate of Nigerians 100 years from now if we don't take stringent measures as soon as possible? The rot is too deep. If we don't start now, then when?

For those quoting me, I can't say I blame you. Our country was founded on selfishness so you can't understand what I'm saying. By 2100, our population will pass 500million people. Generations of the Chinese, Soviets, Americans, British, Canadians, British, French, even Indians ati be be lo sacrificed so their country can be where it is today. Sacrifice/plans for future generations is not in our DNA. We don't care about them. Na only our own we care about. No nation has ever moved forward with this mindset.
First you adopted and supported illegitimate person and government, this is how to plan for your unborn?
What is ur opinion on the economy and general lives of Nigerians? Our leaders are more selfish than selfish. Blame no one

Nairaland GeneralDangote Refinery Turns To US For Crude Supplies. by emmi14(op): 6:20am On Feb 02, 2024
Nigeria’s giant new oil refinery Dangote, the largest in Africa, is set to import crude from the US in the coming months, a sign of just how competitive American barrels have become in the global market.

Trafigura Group sold 2 million barrels of WTI Midland to Dangote refinery for end-February delivery, said traders with knowledge of the matter. This is the first time that the giant refinery has purchased non-Nigerian crude, traders said.

Booming US oil supply over the past decade or so has transformed the global market, reaching as far afield as Asia. Nigeria’s economy is dependent on petroleum exports, meaning the deliveries from across the Atlantic are telling.

The refinery is sourcing domestic crude under a supply deal with the trading arm of the state company Nigerian National Petroleum Co The first cargo that arrived at the plant last month was Nigeria’s Agbami crude, sold by a trading unit of Shell. This was followed by more Nigerian barrels including the nation’s Amenam, Bonny Light and CJ Blend streams.

As well as processing domestic feedstock, the new giant plant is equipped to run other African crudes as well as supply from further afield including the US and Saudi Arabia, Dangote Group said earlier this month.

It’s not clear why a refinery in a large oil producing country is buying from the US, but price is likely a factor, according to traders. West Texas Intermediate Midland barrels tend to be cheaper than grades like Nigeria’s, which are priced relative to the North Sea grade Brent.

The refinery is expected to start gasoline production by March, local newspaper The Guardian reported at the weekend, quoting Dangote himself.
BusinessRe: Naira Trades At ₦1,520 Per Dollar by emmi14: 8:25pm On Jan 31, 2024
Throwback:
Tinubu made it clear that the dollar should trade for whatever value those who are demanding it are willing to pay for it.

The question then is why are Nigerians so concerned about the naira value of the dollar?

The exchange rate is not a value of our local economy.
Continue decisiving yourself mentioning USA and UK in your nonsense economy. Continue typing rubbish here, your eyes will soon open.

We were never a bigger economy than the USA when our Naira traded higher to a dollar on the 1960s and 1970s.

The UK is not a bigger economy than the USA despite the exchange rate between the British Pound and the US Dollar.

The government should focus on our local economy and achieving local sustenance, and ignore the exchange rate speculators.

As long as the average Nigerian can get all their needs and have enough left for savings and investments for the future, the exchange rate would be nothing but a number, just as it was when we had a higher exchange rate but a poorer economy compared to the US economy.
