Business / Re: Savings Account Or Domicilary Account Which One Is The Best For Google Adsense by emmy4naira(m): 6:22pm On Aug 31, 2008
abyodune, you have raised a good question here, but the best thing you have to do is to open a domiciliary account. That is what you can use because the check is going to come in dollar and u can only pay that into to dorm account. Hope this info is good.

now is anyone going to tell the room when the second interview is coming up or what is UI trying to do?
Education / Re: Ui 2008/2009 Post Ume exams by emmy4naira(m): 6:03pm On Aug 31, 2008
u know what guys, l think it will be gud if we just 4 once behave likle mature guys, it will be very disgusting if all that is left to do now is to criticise one another over nothing that we hardly make contributions to despite all that is on ground that needs to be solved. special warning goes to wordsmith and fatimar. let us just rest the issue of the university palava. there's a lot to share outside sharing ignorance and fooling oursleves around.

and if u know u still want to continue, l'm sure it will be better to start ur own post 'cos no one will stand here and read your dirty slangs. haba. abeg make we try.

link=topic=140601.msg2718073#msg2718073 date=1219921225:

@fatimar
Whatever it is you mean by 'just', i do not know. A friend of mine who had 6 distinctions and 3B's wasn't even called among the first interviewees supposedly to be the "merit list" and here you are talking about 'just'. Then the change of course came up, being so tensed up and with no proper evaluation of what UI was up to, she made for MATHEMATICS rather than her proposed course, leaving the poor girl to wallow in pain when she heard the change of course was for an entirely different purpose.

Whatever this university of yours is doing in the dark should be made available to the students .I have always heard UI is the premier university and the best, but let them start first by updating their websites like their other counterparts or must their website be "premier" too? I would have thought they are too busy with their teachings, seminars, etc to forget about the website(which is as current as 2007) but check out websites like those of OAU, Ilorin, and even less popular universities like RSUST who already have their course content outlined on their website. the era of carrying paper course content is oudated and lecturers often refer their students to the website for assignments and their next topic of study, some of the schools already have e-learing programmes for their students, students are even made to carry out research and project using this libraries and programmes, please where does UI fit in on this?

I'm not trying to critize this university, but let them wake to the reality of technological advancement and stop deceiving us with their old professors, it's just a pity that here in Nigeria, once a graduate mentions UI, OAU,etc, he is given preference without a blink of the eye, and thats why students are still after these tertiary institutions. So first, let them stop holding us in ransome by letting us in on whats happening if its for the interest of the prospective students as we cannot go home and relax when the whole process is still hanging on the air. Thanks!

P.S We will just keep our fingers crossed and see what happens next.

l think jarsofclay have a point there, l'm sure the money and rsources are there to make this effective, pls let them go ahead and do just that. it is very important!

hey guys l think it's a gud thing when we encourage ourselves, though it isn't fair enough for UI not to keep to her words, it can be very disgusting. anyway for those of us going for the second batch, let's just be on watch 'cos UI can be full of surprises sometimes. thanks all
Religion / Re: Pre-Marital Sex Is Not Fornication by emmy4naira(m): 5:56pm On Aug 26, 2008
hey
joshjosh:

it is always a shame when people argue rationally. you are here talking about the white man but you will use their phones and use their nike shirts and other things you like.

i hate the old days people just slept with women without marrying them. i hate the days good for nothing men had plenty wives they couldnt feed. i wont go on because you never had any good old days but poor sad old days again you may be too young to know better so enjoy seun's hospitality on nairaland.

Christianity is a global force for good wait until godless chineese start enslaving you again and let me hear your opinion

my dear joshjosh, l felt very sad when l read ur post becos u have no regard for the past and as a matter of fact u have no basic regard for the tradition and culture of ur people especially as an african. what a shame!!!

thank God u agree with the fact that we use the white men's phones and thus we have to agree with whatever they do, if this is the situation, it means that we dont have to be hard hearted when it comes to the issue of pre marital sex.

our problems as africans is that we are just too hard hearted to issues, we dont want to see the other way of things, we dont want to think beyond what our enviroment gives to us

have a rethink nairalanders

Romance / Re: Desperate Girls: Becoming An Epidemic by emmy4naira(m): 6:17pm On Aug 25, 2008
hey guys this topic seems interesting, anyway on my own part, we should just let the girls be they are just bringing out the nature in them.

so before we start to crucify them we should first know the fact that their psychological disposal to romance and most especially attention cant be compared to those of men. and u know quite alright that most times the guys are the ones to be blamed cos most times they make the damn girls look useless and they leave them at the mercy of the whatever and make them desperate

desperately yours

Religion / Re: Pre-Marital Sex Is Not Fornication by emmy4naira(m): 5:55pm On Aug 25, 2008
hey nairalanders why cant we just sit down and think for once, the case about premarital sex l've told u all cannot be discussed by those that dont have an open mind to issues becos they are all beclouded by thier so called religion.

it is clear that marriage was brought by the white, does that mean that our fore fathers who had sex then will all go to hell? come to think of it, cant we clearly see that christianity has done more harm than good in our society unlike the good old days when things were right.

anyway no matter how we see it or qoute the bible which most of us dont even know when and where it was written, one fact remains and that is: Jesus Christ never mentioned pre marital sex as a sin

thanks all

Religion / Re: Pre-Marital Sex Is Not Fornication by emmy4naira(m): 4:10pm On Aug 20, 2008
hey guys i think it's high time we stopped sharing ignorance here, the question at hand does not give room for anyone who does not have a free mind to think beyond hie or her religion. so l suggest we just put an end to it and let everyone say for himslef what is right or wrong
Education / Re: Ui 2008/2009 Post Ume exams by emmy4naira(m): 3:58pm On Aug 20, 2008
thanks guys 4 the info about the change of course whatever but l think we shud not try to be selfish here 'cos it seems as if those that have been interviewd no longer care about those that have not and all they are after is their result well it's gud to let u know that the list is going to come out together so not until we are thru with ours the list is not coming out so be patient and let us be our brother's keeper
Politics / Revolution Or What? by emmy4naira(m): 4:50pm On Aug 18, 2008
good day good nigerians, it is no more news that more than 50% nigerians now read newspaper everyday which means we all know what is going on, no more news that several agencies are being set up to curtail corruption, also no more news that billions of naria are being put into the so called almoghty power sector. it will also be good to know that each governer of every state either renovate or build either a primary school or a secondary school, these governors have also claimed to have done several projects including, roads, hospitals, water and so on.

but the question that readily comes to my mind is which of these things have we enjoyed in our country or state? no water, no electricity, no good roads, CORRUPTION is everywhere. so what are we talking about, there is no longer no one to trust because almost everyone has been betrayed

so my good nigerians what do we really think can be the solution to this our almighty problems? revolution or what?
pls, the floor is open
Religion / Re: Pre-Marital Sex Is Not Fornication by emmy4naira(m): 4:10pm On Aug 18, 2008
pls all that l'm saying here is that sex b4 marriage shud not be seen as a fornication anyway for all those who are not clouded by thier religion
Religion / Re: Pre-Marital Sex Is Not Fornication by emmy4naira(m): 3:46pm On Aug 18, 2008
concerning the issue of fornication, two things are involved, when we want to analyse the word gramatically we will clearly see that it does not really imply what we see and mean today and thus fornication will be allowed, also when we also want to analyse it from what was at stake then according to the original poster of this argument we will see that it does not really imply what we see today in the society.

on another note, analyzing what diferent posters have said, we will clearly observe that they dont base thuer argument on sound foundation or proof rather all they said were based on what thier pastors tell them everyday and not the way they see it or view it and that is why they cant even reason beyond what they are told in the church therefore whatever they say or do will surely be based on a biased mind.

based on this note l will kindly advise trini_girl to pls end this topic as no valid argument will come forward because everyone has been beclouded with religion.

thanks all

hey guys, what is all this we are talking about here, l was a kind of amazed when l came across this argument, well l will want to say that we hve to be both philosophical and at the same time diplomatic here. thus for everyone who will want to have this kind of argument must as a matter of fact be someone of free mind all else we will be biased by our religion and we'll face to see beyond religion.

what matters most is that when it comes to the bible we can have as many interpretation as we want and that is what is happening here. also we have to note tht the many things that were written in the bible especially all the letters written by paul to the churches were written due to what was happening then in the churches and al the conditions then were all applied and that is why we cant as a matter of fact relate what was happeneing then to what we now have in the world.

Adverts / How To Start Your Paypal Account by emmy4naira(m): 3:25pm On Jul 24, 2008
Pay pal is an internet account that accepts payment via the World Wide Web and can be cashed out with the help of pay pal merchants who funds and buys pay pal dollars or any currency. It was difficult to open a pay pal account in Nigeria but with the help of us (some internet marketers) who summed up courage and tried by all means to get in contact with paypal.com. Nigeria was marked by PayPal for fraud and that’s why even till now it’s difficult to open a PayPal account from Nigeria and using Nigeria IP. They did it half way and we discovered the rest by searches and other ways.
if you are interested in opening paypal account, this is an opportunity for you as a business man or woman. just send me an email signifying your interest to any of the following id: emmanuelesan@hotmail.com, or nichbolu@yahoo.co.uk
