The Acting Executive Director of Finance and Administration of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Ibang Etang is dead.

He died just hours after the Rivers State council chairman of Asari-Toru LGA died.

Etang, according to sources, died possibly from heart-attack, but it could not be ascertained if his death was also COVID-19 related.

NDDC sources told our reporter that “He died from a heart attack, that is all we know for now.”

Panic hits Asari Toru this morning as the Chairman of Asari Toru Local government council in Rivers State, Odiari Princewill, dies of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

His remains has been buried at the Port Harcourt Cemetery as ordered by the Government of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

According to reports, he died at about 10 pm on Wednesday, from yet to be ascertained illness, even though there are indications that his death is COVID-19 related.

He was reportedly buried immediately after his death, buttressing suspicion that his death is COVID-19 related.

The Former Commissioner for Agriculture, Rivers State, Chief (Hon) Emma Chindah celebrates his boss, leader, mentor and THISDAY Minister of the decade, The Rt. The Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (Minister for Transportation) on his 55th birthday celebration.

A U.K. medical doctor, Idee Charles has come out to blast the general overseer of Salvation Ministries Church, Pastor David Ibiyeomie over what he said on Sunday 17th may 2020 about COVID-19 not being in Nigeria.

According to her, she felt very bad that the pastor was a graduate from the department of Microbiology in the Rivers State University.

According to reports surrounding the video, the wedding that breached all rules of social distancing, with some guests seen without using face masks, was held at a branch of The Apostolic Church, Calabar, Cross River State.

The COVID-19 task force officials are seen making their way into the church while the event was going on but as soon as they were spotted by the guests, the guests took to their heels to avoid being arrested.

The bride and the groom who were still on the altar were later seen making their way out of the Church before the task force officials went to confront a man, supposedly the leader of the church.

Recall that the Governor has announced the temporary lifting of the total lockdown on Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt Local Government Areas for two days only, with effect from Tuesday 12th May 2020.

Governor Wike made the announcement in a State-Wide broadcast on Sunday night. He said that the total lockdown will be lifted on Tuesday 12th May, 2020 and Wednesday, 13th May, 2020.

Governor Wike said that the lockdown will be reinstated on Thursday, 14th May, 2020.

Founder and leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, has described the act of Governor Nyesom Wike as nonsense over the Demolition of two hotels in Port Harcourt.

According to Raph, it would have been better for the Governor to lock up the hotel instead of Demolition it. Such act is useless.

It's only in Rivers State that you can try that nonsense, you can't try it in Imo State, he added.
