CrownedPhoenix: By now, it seems very obvious that government and people in government at various levels are complicit in the insecurity issues in the North.
But all I see here in this immediate article is an attempt to give them credibility, hype them and make them appear larger than may currently be, giving them the desired media coverage.
They came and established an "empire" (mtscheew! which empire?), collected taxes, linked to ISIS, Arabic inscription similar to one one Somalia, beheaded a village head etc. A veiled hailing to inspire fear.
Investigations, if sincere, should start from this man. Reminds me of Gumi This! Glad someone else can see through the charade. |

You are not asking the right question The question should be why don't they release our politicians mugshots They are the bigger criminals The EFCC does not determine who is an offender and who isn't. Everyone is suspect until found guilty by the court. |

If you've been there, You would understand. But I don't blame u anyway. Most of u lots are always like that. A harmless post would be made, and you will be saying trash. You can't comment without insulting people. You are in your feelings. I have not insulted him but given him an honest appraisal of his personality as observed from his exchange under this post. He could thrive in a different school under a different managerial style; he's just not a culture fit for this one. If he wants to stay, he needs to make some adjustments. But here you can see he is not open to receiving any opinion that isn't his. |

APOPTOSIS: Exactly. It's high time the Nigerian Embassy speaks up. Nothing is wrong heading to an adult dating site as an adult. What's a minor looking for there. Minors who break such rules should be arrested too. I hate injustice This is not injustice. Will you see poison in a plate and knowingly eat it? Well, unless you thought it was edible! See? Fair enough, a minor is not supposed to be there. But after knowing, as an adult he was supposed to break off all communications immediately. |

Politics › Re: Lagos To Build Massive 4,000 Megawatts Plants To End Power Cuts - Reuters by emmyN(m): 4:36pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
Menclothing1: Lagos is paying for it
We have generation private Transmission government Distribution private
Most distribution even went bankrupt only lagos own survive
Lagos have 2 distribution companies whereas most state 4/7 state are sharing just one
When light is privatize it’s where money is paid the more that light is stable
Many areas in lagos are willing to pay most state users can’t pay
Buhari signed state should start generating its power that’s a good one very soon other state will see what lagos have achieved and will do same How do you know most state users can't pay? I put it to you that they are paying just as much in electricity bills as other neighborhoods in Lagos, yet they get far less power supply. Many areas in Nigeria, not Lagos alone are ready to pay for electricity if you give them and have them metered. My position is, there is no equitable distribution of resources. How do you expect economies in these other states to thrive if you are not even giving them a chance? |
Politics › Re: Lagos To Build Massive 4,000 Megawatts Plants To End Power Cuts - Reuters by emmyN(m): 11:04am On Nov 08, 2024 |
The state government of Lagos, a fast expanding metropolis of more than 20 million residents, said it required 6,000 MW of electricity but was receiving only 2,000 MW at most from the grid. So to speak, Lagos alone presently receives half of the 4000MW electricity the country is generating. This is why you can find their residents talking about improved power supply, meanwhile the same can not be said of the remaining 35 states of the federation. Is this equitable? Is this fair? |

I don't like Trump. He is brash, uncouth, and has little regards for established institutions. But this little girl here probably voted Kamala simply because she is a woman. That's one of the things I thought was wrong with that election. A lot of votes were swayed based on sentimental value. |

AfDapone: There would be no punishment and the scandal will be buried to prevent the shame it has brought to the caliber of women involved. How do you know that? So in your opinion the best punishment is releasing private explicit videos? While he has a case to answer with his government, he could also build a solid case against them; and if they had a fair justice system, there are chances he would win. |

I would say the government in its entirety is irresponsible. Those were supposed to be private records right? How did they find their way into the public domain?
It's okay to punish the offenders and publicize why they were punished. But leaking the videos is all shades of wrong. |

1Sharon: Says who? The difference here is that Yul was already married to somebody else. Did he tell May he was polygamous before he married her? Apparently not. But then, neither of us know for sure under which law his first marriage was contracted (no speculating). Under customary law, a man is allowed to take more than one wife. So it's an unspoken rule that any union entered here has the potential of being polygamous. |

pocohantas: Let's all pretend May wasn't a typical homely housewife until this drama blew her up. Yul himself came out to publicly apologise for betraying her. But our custodian of facts claims she knows. This is how they will codedly rewrite the incident in favour of Yul. Like you rewriting history by alleging Yul married someone else's wife? Or the lie being peddled that he got dancing on IG as soon as his son died? |
