Christianity EtcRe: Marrying A Pastor; A Blessing Or A Curse by emmyskies(m):
jesuslovesme123: A number of differences exist:

Pastors' families are more exposed to spiritual attacks.

In many cases, pastors' wives need to play a role in church.

Pastors could potentially have less time for their families.

Pastors' families are often subject to more scrunity.

With these said, I have observed that many pastors today actively shield their families from these 4 things. Some even prevent their families from having contact with the congregation.
1. Not only pastor's family that are open to attacks, all true christians all over the world are facing intense attack from the kingdom of darkness. They don't waste time on partial christians and unbelievers because they know they are already on their way to where belong. So it's not just a "pastor's family" thing

2. It is not compulsory for a pastor's wife to play a role. She can be unnoticed. Just that she will need to model a good mother for other mothers and girls. Which is quite an easy thing for a true born again christian. That's not really a challenge because it is Christ that live in them.

3. Pastors not having much time for their family is likened unto every other married man not having time for their family because of work. As other learn to manage their work with family, so a pastor should learn to manage his church and family. Easy as ABC

4. Pastor's family are not only subject to scrutiny, every true christian all over the world does. JESUS CHRIST says we are the light of the world, let our light so shine before the world. He isn't referring to pastor's family here, but every born again christian.

Like I said earlier, if the woman is a true christian, she'd be even glad marrying a pastor. Iron sharpeneth iron. They would wax strong in Christ and live to the glory of GOD, raise a family where the presence of the Lord will always dwell.

Save the woman has other motives to marriage, contrary to GOD's word that she will likely shy away from marrying a pastor

Christianity EtcRe: Is Judas Iscariot Really A Villain? by emmyskies(m): 10:46am On Jul 20, 2014
The same way devil pushed judas to eternal damnation, same way he is pushing majority of humans today. If judas have repented, he would have been forgiven. He betrayed Christ, yes. Didn't Peter betray Christ thrice?? JESUS CHRIST forsee both of them will betray Him. He even told Peter. Yet, Peter still betrayed Him. But after the betrayal, what next? Peter redeemed himself, judas cursed himself. Many curse themself today. Repent or perish
FamilyRe: Marital Conflict - What Do You Suggest? by emmyskies(m): 10:41am On Jul 20, 2014
They should both forget their human minds and take the mind of Christ. As christians, that shouldn't be a problem. They should learn not to offend eachother and be very quick to forgive if offended. Though Joicey thinks she's doing the right thing, the fault is from them both. Humility should come from the two parties. They should speak one-on-one to themself, resolve this problem before it leads to another sin, forget their difference and live with the mind of Christ, as christians. Both of them's got work to do

Christianity EtcRe: Why Should I Go To Church Today? Why Did You Go? by emmyskies(m): 10:13am On Jul 20, 2014
Church-going has turned to a sunday routine "sunday na day to go church". Many don't know the purpose of going to church. Some go only when invited, some are forced, others just go to fulfil all righteousness, many don't go at all. Hmmm, whichever way it is: "Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is." (1 Corinthians 3:13). Your work must be found perfect before GOD -Rev 3:2

When you outlive the sun, and this golden breath of life leaves your body, as you arrive in the strange land, then you will believe and know you should live to please GOD alone, give Him your time always and enjoy spending time in His presence

Right from time, the Bible has been written is scripts -Books. We maintain it. Right from the old testament till the new testament, it's been written in Books(Luke 4:17). If only you know what the word of GOD means. I quite agree you use your e-Bible where your Bible is not with you. But officially, to church, travel, work place, etc, make use of written Bible

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Christianity? by emmyskies(m): 9:41pm On Jul 15, 2014
Christianity is never a religion, but the way to eternal life through JESUS CHRIST. Been the only true way to life, the devil have made most churches gateway to hell fire as many christians are dancers at the gate of hell. However, "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (2 Timothy 2:19)
Christianity EtcRe: I Had A Strange Dream!!! Please Read. by emmyskies(m): 11:15pm On Jul 12, 2014
There is no two way about your dream: RAPTURE. Rapture is as close as. It will happen anytime very soon. People that have the gift of prophecy have been seeing visions of late also. Your dream is what it would be like either before or after rapture. This is what you should do: Repent of all your sins. Forgive everybody you know you owe forgiveness. Make peace with everybody. Do all necessary restitutions. Draw nigh to GOD to reveal things that will make you loose heaven or miss rapture now before it happens so you won't be left behind. Spread this dream, message and gospel to many others. Watch and pray. GOD bless you

I hope you know what you are doing to yourself. Prepare to face the consequence for eternity. Good part is you can avert all that and accept Christ
Christianity EtcRe: Are All Religions Praying To The Same God In Different Ways? by emmyskies(m): 3:30pm On Jul 10, 2014
No. Never. The closest that try to portray same god is muslim to christian (like old testament is partially contained in quaran etc). But basically, allah is very much different from the Most High GOD of the christians. Allah doesn't have a son and sends only servants. Christian GOD have a son and sent Him to redeem the world as many that believe and accept Him. Allah doesn't hear prayers. GOD does. Allah doesn't work miracles. GOD does. etc

Christianity EtcRe: Is It A Must We Pay Offering And Tithe In The Church? by emmyskies(m): 8:35pm On Jul 08, 2014
PastorKun: I read your shoddy explainations but who told you that Paul is the writer of Hebrewshuh Even though the writer of Hebrews was drawing a parrallel btw the Melchizedek priesthood and that of Jesus he made it clear that the Levitical priesthood and it's useless tithing ordinance has been done away with.
Sorry I say Paul is the writter.

Let him that have understanding understand: "For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God." (Hebrews 7:19)

"(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedecsmiley" (Hebrews 7:21)
"For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore." (Hebrews 7:28)

Dereformer: Please explain Deutronomy 14: 22-26 to me. Please
Verse 22: you shall continue to bring the tenth part of all your harvest that your land produce year after year, not just once.
23: And you will eat in the presence of GOD where He will choose, you should bring the tenth part of your harvested corn, wine and oil. Also, bring the first born of your herds and flocks. That you learn to fear GOD always.
24: If the distance from your house to the presence of the Lord is too far such that your tithes are very heavy for you to carry
:
25: then you should convert the tithes to money and bring by hand to the presence of the Lord where He will choose,
26: Any you will present it, and whatsoever your soul desires to eat in the presence of the Lord, whether wine, oxen, sheep or strong drink, that you will eat, and you and your household shall rejoice.

Take note, it is not your tithe you will eat. Rather, it is the burnt offerings, sacrifices and heave offering that will be eaten:
"And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee." (Deuteronomy 12:6-7)
"And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh." (Deuteronomy 12:27)

Dereformer: But I have not been tithing and God has been blessing me.
For the fact that He has been blessing you doesn't mean you are on the right track and don't need to pay tithe:

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. " (Matthew 5:45)
Christianity EtcRe: Is It A Must We Pay Offering And Tithe In The Church? by emmyskies(m): 7:07pm On Jul 08, 2014
PastorKun: I understand the passage very well, tithing was instituted under the levitical priesthood that was disanulled. It was meant to partly sustain the the levitical priesthood. Since the levitical priesthood has been done away with, common sense dictates that the tithe ordinance that was meant to sustain it is automatically rendered obsolute. It would be fraudulent to accept that the levitical priesthood is done away with yet retain an aspect of it albeit in a twisted format just because it favours preachers who would like us to believe they now intermediaries btw us and God even when the bible makes it clear that Jesus is the only intermediary and that as believers we are all priests.
You don't understand the passage. Read my explanations again. Paul is comparing the Levites to Melchisedec of old

Christianity EtcRe: Is SIN And TEMPTATION The Same? by emmyskies(m): 5:55pm On Jul 08, 2014
Temptation is different from sin:
The devil tempted JESUS CHRIST but He didn't sin: "And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season." (Luke 4:13)

When tempted, you can stand or fall. When you fall, that is when it becomes sin:
"They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. " (Luke 8:13)

Let he that has wisdom see the truth:
"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. " (Revelation 3:12)

"And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it." (Revelation 21:24)
Christianity EtcRe: Is It A Must We Pay Offering And Tithe In The Church? by emmyskies(m): 2:54pm On Jul 08, 2014
PastorKun: I have studied the tithing doctrine extensively in the bible and I can say with all sense of humilityy that I have read and understand everything the bible has to say about tithes. That said it is very clear from scriptures that tithing has nothing to do with christianity and it has been done away along with other mosaic laws. That is apart from the fact that the tithing preached and practised today is totally alien to the biblical version. Also you may wish to read Hebrews 7:5-19 in context. There, the tithe doctrine was anulled and it was described as a weak useless and unprofitable law.
You don't understand that verse. The verse is comparing Melchizedek, who was a priest of GOD to the Levites, who were also the priest of GOD; comparing how the duties of Melchizedek is likened unto that of the Levites, example, how Melchizedek received tithe from Abraham, similar also to how the sons of Levi receive tithes also, second, compared how a non-descent of Abraham received priesthood and tithes and blessed Abraham. Verse: the less, which is Abraham, is blessed of the better: Melchizedek. Verse 8, 9 and 10 compares Melchizedek to the Levites. 11 asks a question: if perfect priesthood is from the Levites, from whom the people receive law, why then is it necessary that another lineage of priesthood arise from Melchizedek? 12: if then the priesthood is changed from Melchizedek unto the Levites, it is then necessary to change the law also. 14-15: JESUS CHRIST came from the tribe of Judah who are not priests, it is then far more evident that another lineage of priest should come from Melchizedek. 16: who as Christ, is not made under the law of canal commandment, but after the power of an everlasting life. 17: For He testified He is a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek(Psalm 110:4).18: there is therefore a disannuling of the commandment, going before for weakness and unprofitableness. 19: the law did not make us perfect, but did bring us near to GOD.

Without understanding, one is floating. The portion is comparing Melchisedec and the Levites as priests, not condemning tithes. The law in verse 19, 18, 16, 11 and 12 are the general laws of Moses
