Strahovski1:Fair enough. |
Strahovski1:I think your premise then is that the person being loved would eventually develop feelings for the partner doing the loving otherwise it will never lead to marriage? But I say the "developed" love rarely ever becomes as strong as the original....and after years for that matter if ever! |

cruzita:Should you then demand that the person you love loves you back equally or just let go of your crush if not reciprocated? |
Dyt:I would give anything for that opportunity. Screw the natural life matters! I understand though. Probably medical... |
Should you get married to someone that you love or someone that loves you. My little experience in this business tells me that you never really finds someone you love that loves you back equally. |

That awkward moment when uncle Gbola Oba goes back to that episode last week where he was given a bloody nose by Prof Chris Nwokobia on the Palour show.

Ok. I will go straight to the point. The joy of nairaland for me has always been reading the contributions of its great members. After all, I could get news, happenings elsewhere......ok ok, I'm a bit addicted, but hey, even the best of sites lose their appeal after a while. I can't remember when last I visited Facebook, cracked etc. I wouldn't say nairaland is losing its appeal just yet, but, there is a serious dearth of those I would refer to as genius posters for some of these guys were geniuses in every sense of the word! Now, my questions are; - What happened to these guys? - Do they have other accounts? Like maybe they are still here underground or are just in particular sections. - Was there a particular reason they left or they just grew up on us, got fed up and left, or what? - Surely Seun or some of the oldest mods here (Mukina for instance) would know how to reach out to these persons, or wouldn't they? Kobojunkie Jakumo Beaf Billyonaire Sienna Mr Cork Yuzedo Gbawe Musiwa 1-100 lolz 190 Honeric01 Ajanlekoko These are the few I remember now though I have much more in mind. I simply cannot recall their usernames but you can keep them coming. |
So I was browsing knowing fully well that I've almost exhausted my bundle when all of a sudden It stopped. I exited my browser to check my credit if It has been descended on as usual (of course before now I would have met 0.00 as it would have been fallen back on without any notification and would have been exhausted before the browsing stops) but to my pleasant surprise it was intact. I smiled to myself. I went back to my browser and tried again. The page still did not load. It wasn't an omission on mtn's part. I laughed. Ori won ti n pe. They did not even try to lure me to browse with my credit as I deduced from one of NCC's "fine" letters that provided the subscriber is duly notified and agrees to be charged "as you go" then its fine. The old mtn would sure as hell have at the very least continued the browsing session at my expense after due notification. Then I shook my head lost in thought. Two things came to my mind. 1) MTN, nay, corporate organizations in general don't give a f**k about their subscribers/customers. Not that I just knew this. There is just this thing about mtn that takes theirs to a level of corporate 419. Actually calling them 419 is an insult to yahoo boys going by some of the contents of the spam messages I get from them. They can actually send their subscribers back to the "village" without batting an eyelid while telling us to our faces that the future is greater than today or some such balderdash. You remember how they told us with a straight face that per second billing was not possible until Glo came and it became miraculously possible. Instantly. 2) Mtn would have continued to rip us off if NCC (thank God for this new administration) did not stand its ground. The citizen of any country without an efficient regulatory body is doomed. Again, a weak/compromised regulatory body is as good as no regulatory body. NCC did not not just come into existence today if you get my drift. So mtn would have continued to screw us in our own country except acted on by a force like they are obeying Newton's 1st law of motion. It set me thinking. What other areas/sectors are we being screwed that we have not gotten round to? |
Yea, a whole lot has been said about GEJ(most of which you just can't help but agree with) but I feel NLers are getting carried away by this so called Buhari tsunami, neglecting facts and issues on ground. Incumbency factor: only a joker would say this will not count in GEJ's favour. You will neglect this at your peril! Minority factor: finally, a Niger Deltan has a realistic chance of becoming president after so much marginalization of the region and people feel(perhaps rightly so) that he should be 'allowed' to win if only to compensate the region for past injustices. Ethnicity: people are going to vote along ethnic lines in this election whether we like it or not. This is why Buhari would not get a single Niger Delta or Igbo vote and perhaps rightly so because contrary to what BB supporters would have us believe here, majority of Buhari supporters in the north are supporting him simply because he is a northerner. Yes! Even if Buhari had been fielded by PDP, these supporters would still have voted for him. All they are concerned about is having a northerner as president more than anything else. And this is why southwesterners won't be tricked into voting for Buhari as is evident on the ground(where it really matters and NOT on the internet). |
