Hi guys! I have been off the platform for some time now and I can see I have missed much information.
Please I would like for someone to kindly clarify this issues for me.
For someone applying for study visa; 1. Is it compulsory to have a sponsor, can't I be myself sponsor?
2. Is it compulsory to submit proof of English test to the embassy?
3. What's the time frame for visa to be approved |

MizAlero: I just need to clarify this. How then would I pick up the document if I make use of my home address. I thought I was expected to submit one of FedEx's pick up locations in Nigeria.
Please do explain further. Thanks Fedex will deliver it at your home address. That's how I got mine. |

I was denied visa in January this year, I was posed to reapply before Covid-19 happened. My school wrote to me few days ago asking me to defer the admission to spring 2021 and the school resumes on the 13th of January.
So before I accept to defer I would like to ask how possible is it for me to get early appointment date preferably in Lagos. Let's say btw 1-15 December? |

Dudun007: Good day guys, I have my F1 visa interview coming up next week. My concerns are I only applied to one university, and I got admission with full funding.
If I am asked by the VO how many sch I applied to and how can I defend myself Of course you have to mention two or three other schools (rehearse the names in your head before going) and with your full funding you are almost there so relax and prepare for your interview |

Theblink123: Those that say you need to pay full fees before visa application arent fully wrong, in the sense that full payment of fees will increase your chances of securing visa but that does not mean that it is impossible to secure visa with part payment. So many people are in ireland now and they only made part payment before applying for visa, i think DBS and some schools accept part payment. But the bottom line is that you should have enough finances to sponsor your stay in ireland, that is non negotiable. Someone with part payment and good evidence of finances stands a better chance of securing visa than someone with full payment and poor evidence of finance.
Gurus correct me if am wrong, am only speaking based on what i have seen in this thread and what i have heard from people, we are all here to learn. Thank you man. |

Olivesmusic: I got a message from the visa office last week Wednesday that my application is being examined but it was noticed that my accommodation booking is not in line with the Covid-19 guidelines for people entering Ireland from Nigeria.
They told me to contact my school and liaise with them to get an advise on the booking and reply them within 3 working days or risk a visa refusal if I do not comply.
I had to contact my school immediately!!
The school gave me a list of accommodation options available and So I went to pay for a 3-week accommodation at the bank and snapped my Form A and it's duplicate as evidence as I knew that it will take time before the telex became ready.
I sent the evidence to the school and they helped me book the accommodation on Friday.
I sent every necessary files I could lay my hand on as evidence of accommodation booking to the embassy that same Friday in order to meet up with the 3-working days ultimatum I was given and I also forwarded the mail from the school showing that the school has booked the accommodation for me.
Lo and behold , my visa was approved and was published yesterday....
Hope this helps!! Please how much did you pay for the accommodation? |

Theblink123: There are some schools that waive english test, like my school dkit ,as for the part payment they are also schools which accept part payment but you might have to do personal research to find the one that fits your interest. Omo, so much information here and I'm even confused. Someone said that if you're given admission you will have to pay full tuition fees before visa application. Please how true is this? And can someone kindly summarize all that is needed for visa application. Thank you |
