DoctorAlien:how did Christ lived his life. please explain better |
Splinz:what is the meaning of " thou shall not have any other god except him"? |
DoctorAlien:explain it to me in a layman's way. who is a christain? forget all this story just answer me |
Splinz:why do you like to give yourself Unnecessary headache? what are the difference in what i wrote from yours? I have been asking a question since no one has given me the answer instead of you to give the answer you were there finding what is not missing. what is the different between property and and those things you listed in no10? my question who is a Christian? |
DoctorAlien:haha are you for real? do you really understand this Bible? what you quoted is the first commandment. the full version of it is " I am the lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, house of bondage thou shall not make for thyself any image or likeness in heave or earth or beneath the earth. you shall not bow to them or serve them" . when did Christ meet Adam to give him the 10 commandments. was it Christ that gave us 10 commandments? the summary of the 10 commandments was what I listed to you. it's you Pentecostals that make people who want to move closer to God to panic because of the rigidity of the law. you read the 10 commandment in Old Testament ,the Pharisees and the chief priests read the book of law which are about 700 commandments but Christ came and simplify it to 2 yet you still don't understand your God. I am still waiting for the answer to my question. who is a Christian? |
DoctorAlien:please understand the 10 commandments. (1) thou shall not have any other god except him (2) thou shall not call his name in vain (3) remember to keep the Sabbath day only (4) honour your father and mother (5) thou shall not kill (6) thou shall not commit adultery (7) thou shall not steal ( you shall not bear false witness against your neighbors (9)thou shall not convert your neighbors wife (10) thou shall not convert your neighbors property. to understand the 10 commandment, you should know that Jesus broke it down into two. no 1 to 3 is the love of God no 4 to 10 is for neighbours. so stop saying 10 commandments because there is more to love than the 10 commandment which Jesus illustrated in the story of THE GOOD SAMARITAN. to understand me better, which part of the 10 commandments does the good Samaritan falls to? but we can easily say it falls into the new commandments of LOVE OF NEIGHBOUR. so who is a Christian? please i need a simple answer |
DoctorAlien:if you say all these about Sabbath day, why then was Jesus accused or tested on Sabbath day ? what was his answer? did he manufacture answer from the the scriptures? instead he told them simple logic. so in a simple was WHO IS A CHRISTAIN? |
DoctorAlien:all these Bible verses you are giving are all the Pharisees were doing when they keep challenging Jesus base on what was written in the scriptures. example was when Jesus healed on Sabbath day they accused him for not keeping to the law. read the answer he gave them mark 3:1-6. keeping the Sabbath day only is the 3rd commandment. so the accused him for not keeping it only and please understand Jesus reply. now using jesus reply ,i ask you again is been born again but not loving your fellow human makes you a Christian? note. don't quote any Bible verse because Jesus never quote any scriptures except when the devil tempted him. he only use his brain to answer . so answer |
DoctorAlien:my bro come to a lay man's level. all these you said about a Christian won't be understood by a lay man. Ok let me rephrase the question. what are the qualities to look out For in a christain? Christ simplified the 10 commandment into just 2 .which are love of God and love of Neigbour. just like the Pharisees followed old laws like washing of hands before eating , even to circumcision yet used all these laws to tempt Jesus so also you are using all these long laws to chase an intending christain away. will I call someone who obeys all the 10 commandments but doesn't have a forgiven spirit a Christian? what about someone who has never been to church but he can share all that he has freely with the needy? who is truly a Christian between the two? |
amalgamation of 1914 is our problem in this country |
I think the book of Genesis 9 and 10 where Noah blessed some of his children and cursed the other son (ham) who was the ancestor of the Egypt and Ethiopia. please Bible scholars explain the country of the descendants of Noah children. |
KingsJohnson:please tell me how professional does. |
biolaowo:no not great ife but greatest ife!!! |
Muafrika2:thanks .thats why Jesus said not all that call me lord lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. |
Ajusshi:do you understand the story of the good Samaritan? why did Christ called him "good " do you think giving is only money? what about your time? those who were wrongly accused and you been a witness to help him did you help the person out of problem? have you used your Christian character to bring souls to Christ by setting examples? they are more and more ways you can give. Christians are givers just as Christ gave his life to redeem us. can you give up all you have to save a soul? please read the story of the early Christians and the Saints then see how they gave their all so that the word of God can reach you and i |
jasoncage:what are the good works? how can you say you are in christ when you can't give you time, love, money and good things your God has blessed you with to your neighbors? what are the greatest commandment given by Christ? love! who is a Christian? they are those who have the same character with Christ which makes them Christ like. |
Muafrika2:how do you explain the story of d the good samaritan ? |
is there no LAKE Rice again? Where can We get it? |
DoctorAlien:who is a Christian ? |
The Original Yoruba Word For Wife Is Aya
Not Iyawo.
Did you know that the original word for
wife in Yoruba language is AYA and not
IYAWO? The latter is quite commonly used
nowadays than the former. I would take you
through how Iyawo came about;
Wura who was at the phase of choosing a
spouse was faced with the task of selecting
the most suitable one for herself, she was
the first child and the daughter of the King
of Iwo (A Yoruba town)
Yoruba deities like Sango, Ogun, and other
known male deities went to Iwo to seek her
hand in marriage. Wura mistreated them,
Wura was very rude and uncouth. She
meted the worst behaviour one can think of
onto her suitors.
Everyone of them failed to accomplish the
prospect of marrying her because they
could not withstand her behaviour, they all
abandoned their mission on their first day,
that was how tough Wura was. However,
when it was Orunmila's turn, before he set
for Iwo, he sought wisdom from Olodumare
through Ifa. He was duly informed that no
matter the treatment Wura might subject
him to, he must not react accordingly, he
should have patience and lots of endurance.
He was highly warned to expect humiliation
from Wura but must not be provoked.
When Orunmila got to Iwo, Wura looked at
him scornfully, she did not welcome him,
she hissed at him, called Orunmila all sorts
of
name, she did not even give Orunmila any
food or entertained him. Orunmila just
ignored her attitudes. The first day, second
day, till about the seventh day. To cap it all,
Wura took Orunmila's Opon-Ifa [divination
board] and used it as firewood, she took
Orunmila's Pouch [Apo Ominijekun] from
him. This angered Orunmila greatly but he
still conducted himself alright. he refused to
react to her behaviour having been warned
the consequences of not heeding advice.
In the long run, the King noticed that
Orunmila was humble and well behaved, he
was amazed that Orunmila did not react or
show any sign of anger towards his
daughter despite the humiliation. Orunmila's
behaviour gave him the assurance that he
would take good care of Wura his daughter
if she became his wife. All along,
unknowingly, Wura's behaviour had been a
test for all the prospective suitors. The King
eventually summoned Orunmila and handed
Wura over to him as his wife and he divided
his property into two. He gave Orunmila half
of it, Orunmila thus became rich and had
Wura as his wife
Upon Orunmila's arrival back home, his
people welcomed him enthusiastically for
his accomplished task, they asked for some
details of his new wife, his answer was
direct: Iya-ti-mo-je- ni-Iwo (the result of my
indignation at Iwo town). Th is eight syllable
word, "Iya-ti-mo-je- ni-Iwo" became known
as Iya-Iwo, and now Iyawo. |
If you've got these three amazing talent in your team, you'd be sure of pure entertainment served on match days. Sikiru Olatunbosun (right) has got speed and he uses it well. He's never afraid to drive into the box from the wings and his sudden shots from tight angles from the wings is his joker. He does it with so much ease. Don't be tricked with that number 2 on his shirt. lol If you pay N5k to watch Chukwuka Onuwa (middle) play, you won't regret it. He's got sharp sight, his passes can spilt any defence regardless of how tough it is. He doesn't do a lot of dribbles but his move both on and off the ball is excellent. This guy is gifted mennnnnnnn! Stephen Odey has got a big heart. Yep, he's some confidence lacking in some big strikers. He scored 8 goals last season in his debut appearance in the NPFL. He is very fast, his runs into box is daring and he rarely gives up. If you are in Lagos then come see these guys at the Agege stadium " Soccer Temple" on Sunday, January 15, 4pm.
