As there are positive surprises in marriage, so are there negative surprises. A man recently shared with Saturday PUNCH he once sent a text message to his wife, threatening to divorce her for some particular reason. Seeing the text, the woman began calling friends and family to plead on her behalf and the issue was resolved. Some Nigerians shared how they would react to the issue I will make amends Success Abili Probably I offended him and he wanted to use that to punish me, I will beg him. It is not good for a man to be angry to the point of planning to divorce his wife without letting her know. If he is responsible, he would let me know my offences, thereby giving me a chance to plead with him. In marriage, there should always be room for making amends. It is not enough for a man to say ‘I forgave her yesterday, I forgave her today, I can’t forgive her tomorrow.’ My husband and I cannot have the same character, so he must be ready to forgive me at all times and not be thinking of divorce. I’d keep quiet Asagade Tomilola There is a Bible passage that says, “The heart of man is desperately wicked, who can know it?” This issue just makes me to remember that men will forever remain men. They can do the things you can’t even imagine, just like this one. What will it cost him if he tells me what I did wrong and what I should have done? Perhaps he has seen another lady to deceive, that’s why he’s planning that divorce. It’s even good to know early as it will reduce the shock of knowing later. He’s not serious Ebube Glory It shows how evil and immature some men could be. I could as well be thinking of divorce if he offends me, but because in marriage, you have to give up your ego, that is why I would never think of such a thing. Marriage works better when we are both willing to make it work. By the time my husband is planning to divorce me and I hear of it, it can make me feel depressed. If he insists after much plea that he wants to go, I will leave him. It shows he’s not serious about marriage yet. Perhaps I’ve offended him, I’ll beg Dike Blessing Misunderstanding is bound to occur in every marriage, but like the proverbial saying that you cannot relieve yourself of headache by cutting your head off, it is also not good for my husband to be planning such a thing behind me due to our differences. If he could tell me my offences, I will gladly beg him to forgive me for the sake of our children. If he wants, let him go Ruth Ovie Some men just want women to be at their mercy everytime and I don’t understand why. They have so much ego that they believe they can do and undo. Why should a man subject his wife to unnecessary high blood pressure by planning such a thing behind her? He could have told his wife her sins and seek for ways to reconcile rather than making her to lick his toes. Of course, I don’t support divorce, but if any man wants to go because he cannot continue with the relationship, let him go. Moreover, if he stays, he could be cheating on me. So why don’t I let him go? Confirmation is needed Nathan Emmanuel She wants to surprise me, but I will be the one to surprise her by not reacting to the information. From the day I learn about it, I will watch her actions very well just to confirm I’ve not heard rumour about the divorce thing. There are some bad people out there who are bent on destroying other people’s homes, so they peddle rumours here and there. I wouldn’t let them have me as their subject. If I’ve offended my spouse, I’ll beg her and we’ll continue our love life. I’d inform her parents Olamide Abeeb I am not a man who believes in reporting to my parents-in-law every offence my wife commits against me. That’s what feeble-minded men do. But in this case, I think I have to let them know. They are her parents and they will probably be better at calling her to order than I do. As parents, they could call her at once to appear before them and also call me too so we could meet one-on-one and talk about it. Parents have a way of resolving misunderstandings among couples. I’d remind her of our children Bolakanle Moses Women are naturally emotionally attached to their children; of course, men also do. I love my children same way as my wife. So if any plan of divorce comes up, I would approach her to remind her of how long we’d spent in the marriage. I would remind her of how we started our love affair, our plans and the future we’d both dreamed of for our children. I know a woman whose heart is not stony would stay when she’s reminded of all these. I’d ask her reasons for that action Fammeya Yelebe No good woman will do that to her husband. I must have offended her greatly, agreed! But divorce is never a solution in many cases of differences among couples. Because I don’t want to give up on her, I would have to swallow my ego and prostrate for her, if that’s what she wants to stay in the marriage. I know she would be surprised where I heard about her plan. I’d promise to love her more and pacify her. She will stay if I do all these. I’m not going to beg her Matthew Solomon Some women could be very funny, though. Why should she go behind me to file for divorce? What could I have done? Anyway, as much as I believe in dialogue and resolving personal affairs outside the court, if she is adamant about leaving me, I will not beg her. It is not pride, but sometimes it is good to allow people to be. Maybe she will find someone better than me in the long run. |
Our youths have refused to learn about reality of life. Why is op after the job that will be lucrative in future when he is supposed to look for business opportunity that will be lucrative in future. Can your future lucrative salary make you richer than the company who employed you? But you future business opportunity can make you the richest person on earth. Ask dangote, otedola, adenuga, Dele momodu and the rest. I beg change ur mindset. Proud business owner!!! |
Op u are spot on. I had knew I wouldn't work under anyone cos I fear the word "sack" cos that might be the time u will need some money to finance some projects. I am a proud graduate from the king of all University in Nigeria OAU, a member Institute of chartered account of Nigeria (ICAN). But these certificates I had them cos my parents wanted a degree holder. But me I had wanted to be self employed. To God be the glory since I graduated in 2005 I have been running my biz. So guys don't look for white collar job but save money so that u too can start your own business |
Those who are writing 100-150k are either they are Still in school or low salary earners. One thing I will say is that no matter the amount you earn can't be OK except if u can manage your self. I mean if u are saying 150k will be OK. Do u want to tell me that you will buy the same kind of clothes u were buying when you were managing in school or earner less than that, in summary, taste will change when u start earning that amount then you will realize that the money is not enough. |

SirJeffry:I understand ur point but when your parents served the government was then but we are talking of now. Go to any ministry around 10am you won't see all the staff cos many of them just go to work around 8am to mark register then leave at 10am to attend to their own personal business. Those who Don't have personal business are just too slow to render services. |
Previous Post Man United Heroes; Best,Giggs Are New FIFA 16 Legends Search September 7, 2015 ↔ no comments Ideye : Nigerian Players Use ‘ Juju ’ Olympiacos striker, Brown Ideye, has admitted that Nigerian players seek the assistance of herbalists in order to make it as footballers. According to mirror.co.uk, Ideye said: “I know players who get involved with the juju men and they can’t get out. It’s a trap. They might get short-term benefits, but in the long run they pay for it. Juju men have a lot of influence. “These are men who are just trying to make themselves rich and tell you they can make your life perfect. “If things like that worked then instead of Messi and Ronaldo winning world player of the year it should be some African players. “I would advise players not to follow this route but it’s their choice, I can’t stop them.” In a report by the Sun, top Premier League players are using black magic to try and improve their games. It claims the superstitious stars are paying thousands of pounds to witchdoctors in a bid to find another level. The players are visiting Juju men in West Africa, where they are shown how to conduct bizarre rituals that are also said to break the curse of injury. Emmanuel Adebayor claimed earlier this year that his mum used black magic to ruin his form in front of goal for Spurs.

kinibigdeal:http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_spt_s1_a.htm Check how much crude oil was sold in his time. Compare to the budget and see enough reserve or excess money he made. I beg let's tell ourselves the truth cos there is Internet to Google things and we have young ones coming up. The young ones won't ask us anything instead they Google it to know the fact. You too can do that instead of arguing or defending a false man. |
kinibigdeal:then prove it. Afterall I told u of badagry filling stations as fact, also the $100 per barrel which we all knew. So tell me what I didn't know when he was in power |
BrainBoss:Haha na wa oooo na so u dey book space? I beg let better people comment for my topic jor. OK yes, you reading what do you have to say? |
kinibigdeal:Bros no one I deceiving me. Now let me tell u things u didn't know 1... During hi his time a barrel of crude was 100 dollars. Our budget bench mark was $58. My bro the excess crude money where did it go? Reserve? No. You know what OBJ left $37B I beg how come it came to $30B even with excess crude oil? 2... The subsidy money called sure p where is it or where is the project from sure p erected? 3... If you do business in the West Africa you will know where our oil was going to unaccounted for. Anybody living in badagry will confirm to you that under GEJ almost all the filling stations are into bunkery. They collected subsidy money from government and sell to the neighboring Counties. I beg no let me say more than this. Cos I am on the field and I know what up |
Nigeria’s goalless draw against Tanzania in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Dar es Salaam on Saturday has attracted criticisms to the team but former internationals, Jonathan Akpoborie and Garba Lawal, insist the match was not enough to judge Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh. The game put Nigeria second with four points in Group G behind Egypt who defeated Chad 5-1 in Ndjamena on Sunday. It was an encounter that almost went the way of the hosts as they dominated the second half but Wolverhampton Wanderers shot stopper Carl Ikeme denied the Taifa Stars what could have been their first victory against Nigeria. Akpoborie, who is optimistic about Nigeria’s qualification for the AFCON finals, believes the Super Eagles have yet to blend under their new coach. “Nigerians should be patient with the team. It was an away game and we had a point. A point is better than losing the game. The Super Eagles did not really play well in the second half but that should be expected because it was an away game,” the former Wolfsburg forward said on Saturday. “The goalless draw is not the best for the team, but it is manageable. We’re still going to play against Egypt at home and away, and we’re still going to host Tanzania. I expect Oliseh to use the friendly against Niger to correct the mistakes he saw in the team. “The Tanzania game was a case of lack of experience on the part of the players; it won’t get better in one day so Oliseh will continue to tinker with the team until he gets it right. We shouldn’t pray for Oliseh’s failure with the team; it takes time to build a strong team. The damage to the Eagles has been done a long time ago, so he is only trying to repair the team.” His former teammate, Lawal, opined that it is sometimes difficult for both players and coaches to win their first games, insisting that the draw could be what the team needed to step up their game. “Every coach wants to win his first game, but we have to be grateful for the draw. It could have been worse. First games are always difficult for teams,” Lawal said. “The players these days are different from those in my playing days. We played by emulating the senior players in the team, by trying to impress them, so my debut in the national team was not on a disappointing note. But players in today’s Super Eagles have no senior players to look up to. They are more or less contemporaries both at club level and in the national team; they don’t have that competition among themselves when fighting for roles. “Nigeria have no choice now but to win the remaining matches in the group if they must qualify for the AFCON finals.” The Super Eagles will host Niger in a friendly on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, but their next qualifying game against Egypt holds on March 23, 2016. http://www.punchng.com/sports/dont-judge-oliseh-yet-akpoborie-lawal/

eyeview:Iweala was a world Bank personal and she served under GEJ and she was recognized all over the world yet she lost economic theory and principles by telling us we are the strong economy in Africa. The same your world known person told us that our economy was strong against strong warning from financial bodies and renowned economists that our economy was heading downward, now few months later she then saw that she was not sound (no be by certificate or world recognition). I beg I will prefer to use unknown brains than world known who is a liar, not sound, not sincere, not smart person. |
