Health / Re: What Happens After Death? by Emuf: 11:55am On Apr 26
FRANELCLINIC:

No. I am talking about a resurrection. The person does not go on living in another form. Instead, he remains unconscious and non-existent until the Creator revives him. He will be brought back to life in a body identical to that in which he died—but without the physical defects and flaws—complete with his memories intact, so that he will recognize himself and others who knew him will recognize him.

Got it! Thank you.
Health / Re: What Happens After Death? by Emuf: 1:55pm On Apr 25
FRANELCLINIC:
What happens after death?
Well, what happens after a robot is shut down? It simply ceases to function. Granted, humans have consciousness that robots don't have any can't have, but what happens after a person dies is much the same as what happens after an equipment shuts down.
The human ceases to exist, to function. He can no longer think, speak, and/or act. He is NOT. Just as things were before he was born. Where were we before we were born?

However, things does not necessarily end here. After a robot or an equipment shuts down, the operator can turn out on again. In a similar way, the Creator of life can and will revive those who are dead, making them alive once more.

Are you invariably talking about reincarnation?
Health / What Happens After Death? by Emuf: 8:57am On Apr 24
Discussing what happens after death can delve into various cultural, philosophical, and religious beliefs. From a scientific perspective, death is understood as the cessation of biological functions that sustain life. This includes the end of brain activity, heartbeat, and respiration.

I had specifically asked AI to explain what happens after death. Here are a few perspectives:

1. Secular Perspective: Some people believe that death is the end of consciousness, and there is no continuation of life after death. From this viewpoint, the body may be buried, cremated, or handled in other ways based on personal or cultural preferences.

2. Religious Beliefs: Different religions have varying beliefs about what happens after death. For example:
- Christianity: Many Christians believe in an afterlife where the soul goes to either Heaven or Hell based on one's faith and actions during life.
- Islam: In Islam, it's believed that after death, the soul enters a state of waiting until the Day of Judgment, where it will be judged for entry into Paradise or Hell.
- Hinduism and Buddhism: These religions believe in reincarnation, where the soul is reborn into a new body based on karma accumulated in previous lives.
- Judaism: Views on the afterlife in Judaism vary, with some believing in an afterlife and others focusing more on the importance of life on earth.
3. Spiritual and New Age Beliefs:
Some spiritual and New Age beliefs propose ideas such as the soul transitioning to other realms, undergoing spiritual growth, or returning to a collective consciousness.
4. Scientific Perspective: From a scientific standpoint, death is the cessation of biological functions. The body undergoes decomposition, returning to the natural elements it is composed of.

In your perspective, what actually happens after death? does one know one is dead?

Taich:
One incident happened in Portharcourt sometime ago, a tanker laden with pms felled close to Oilmill and the road was cordoned off by residents and traffic redirected, all these were done before government stepped in. I will say the high level of hazard awareness and trainings in Phc played a part, an average person in Phc understands basic HSE as opposed to Lagos where you have more like a mix of everything.

You are very correct. the presence of oil and gas companies in PHC has intensified safety awareness among the people.

Hello Nairaland Medical Personnel,

Would there be any need for DNA Paternity Test if there is a striking resemblance between you and your "child"?

Even within Anambra, there are places some people are skeptical marrying into/from, for example you will hear some folks say people from Awka are better off marrying among themselves, that a lady from maybe ihiala, Anam or Uga would struggle to fit in.....how many outsiders fit gather liver marry an Onitsha man or woman? cheesy

The same applies to other states that are majorly the same tribe, where one has to think deeply before he/she announces to his/her family that the intended is from a community within their tribe that the family is not comfortable with.

And by the way, mama anyi si is a huge turn off!

Your last sentence is the deal....

Wrong! I am married to an imo woman.
There are exceptions. If you will be honest, you will agree that most Anambra men go for Anambra women.

You have a valid point. They depend on their mothers' opinion a lot.

I have noticed this uncontrollable rejection Anambra men have towards Imo women. Hardly can you find an Anambra man who is indifferent about settling down with an Imo state woman. I saw this during my days in Awka and it was so obvious. They don't even hide the rejection.

Anambra men, why do you find it difficult to settle down with Imo women?

Politics / Re: "BAKASSI BOYS" Return To Awka, Anambra State (Video) by Emuf: 10:49pm On Jun 16, 2021
eloquently:
Bakassi Boys of 1998 to 2002 were very bloody.... They possessed the greatest odeshi ever seen openly in Nigeria. They killed a lot of people...They were known to repel bullets with juju. Those days you come to onitsha or aba and you see littered corpses of criminals. They use jazz to sense criminals. They were also spontaneous. Example: A bank robbery might be going on, and before you know it, bakassi boys would have probably sensed it and then block all the junctions of escape for the robbers. They do carry criminals in vehicle(s) and kill them openly in junctions. During the time of the bakassi boys those days, you can leave your phone, money, laptop on the road, and still come back to pick it. I don't know if they killed up to 20,000 people in those years... Their juju was something else. They were too barbaric. Public beheading of criminals. Bakassi boys killed many maf boys in aba. Maf was a criminal group that could rob in broad day light. Bakassi boys brought crime down in the east those days. They killed the greatest criminal ever in the east. His name was Derico. Derico killed about 100 people including 25 police officers.. Bakassi finally killed him. One deadly bakassi guy those days was called ejima...He died those days... Bakassi boys conquered prophet Eddy's diabolism and killed him.

Bakassi of those days has been the strongest vigilante group that have ever emerged in the Nigeria.

In those days, if you think any group or guys are rugged enough or mad enough, just invite bakassi boys and their doubt may likely be cleared. Those days, some guys ran away from the East. Bakassi boys were very dreadful....

Those days, if you see large number of bike men coming and doing stunts, it is likely that bakassi boys are coming behind them in a bus or buses like commandos.

I998 to 2002 were the first group ever named bakassi boys. After that group, no other group has every emerged like that in Nigeria: before them and after them. Every other group may just be trying to imitate them. They were very tough.

Bakassi in this era?

Please we don't need to go back to 1998 and 2002 pattern.

We need to move forward. That era should be gone by now..

You just refreshed my memory. You can write so well.

I am to work as a warehouse attendant.

If I can get a side job that I can engage in that can allow me freedom to still go for my internship, I'll gladly accept it so that the money I earn from there can complement the stipend from the internship.

I will not advice you to quit your internship. You are already tending towards HSE and anything that does not agree with that career path should be watched closely unless it comes with a good pay not 40k.

Thank you.

Good day sir,
I need your expert advice here please. I recently got an offer to work as a HSE intern. The allowance is not much and I am only required to come just once in a week which doesn't have a fixed day. The days are selected randomly because there are other interns too.

Also, I got a job that pays 40k recently too which requires me to come to work everyday and there was no way they would allow me one day off.

What do I do? Do I accept the job and forfeit the internship or accept the internship and lose the job?

What is your job role at the 40k workplace?
