Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa is set to join Premier League champions Leicester City this week, according to the player's agent Tony Harris. Musa, 23, has scored 54 goals in 168 games for Russian side CSKA Moscow and has also attracted the interest of Premier League clubs Southampton, Everton and West Ham. However, the striker revealed in May that he would be happy to join Leicester this summer and is now closing on a move for a reported fee of around £16 million. "Everything has been finalised and Musa will be in England for his medical on Wednesday," Harris told BBC Sport. Musa, who has scored 11 times in 58 appearances for the Super Eagles, will cope well with the demands of English football according to CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky. "If you look at the way things are done over there you'll see he is a player just made for English football," he told Russian media on Sunday. m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?storyId=2907389&top&wjb= |

With an outstanding team packed with talented players, Nigeria successfully defended their crown at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015. Furthermore, the west Africans took centre stage when it came to the individual honours too. Top scorer Victor Osimhen and captain Kelechi Nwakali both made their mark on the competition, and after winning the adidas Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player, the latter followed in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas and Toni Kroos, who are now key members of the senior sides with their respective national teams. Osimhen set a new U-17 World Cup goalscoring record, while Mali’s Samuel Diarra and Ecuador’s example of Fair Play were also recognised in the honour’s list established and overseen by FIFA’s Technical Study Group (TSG). www.fifa.com/u17worldcup/news |
