Reski: Its not by website agreed. But a well built website says a lot about a school. Visit MIT or Eth Zurich for reference on this. As for all you wrote to market your school I'm neither denying or accepting them until I get more reviews from those that attended the school. And before you give me that line about famous people attending ABu its just natural for that to happen to a first generation university. But take it from me no Nigerian university is worth wasting your time trying to use it as a bragging right. I purposely left the famous people line out. It's not about bragging, it's about education pertaining to Nigeria, our dear country. The school is already marketable already so no need for my stress. Anything affiliated to ABU is already marketable. Don't folks who studied in Nigerian universities still go outside the shores of Nigeria and still achieve excellence? Researchers from Nigerian universities contribute to the academia of the world so they're worth bragging about. Things are shitty but there are still breakthroughs. If you sponsor me to go and study outside, it's pertinent I return to share my knowledge with folks here. |

Edunews: Are you actually trying to compare ABU & FUTO? Seriously, I don't dig. Maybe it's because ABU guys don't make noise compared to others. I'm just perplexed. |

Reski: Your comment just made me visit ABU website for starters and its crap. What makes ABU stand out? Kindly tell the house please? If it's by website, then most of these universities on the list won't make it. You come here asking me what makes ABU stand out? Whatever makes UI, OAU and co stand out is what makes ABU stand out. Have you been to ABU to scrutinise the learning environment? Have you visited our libraries? Have you been taught by any of our lecturers? ABU has a good learning environment. ABU lecturers are professionals. ABU has good security The road network is good. Sports facilities are there to keep yourself fit. Instructional materials used are okay. Internet Service is readily available. Anything you need as a student to develop yourself is there so why wouldn't you choose ABU? An ABU graduate doesn't need much Introduction before he attended to Guys from the east do apply to run programmes here and they've never regretted studying here. One of my teacher's from IMSU is running his master's here and I recall when he used to lambast ABU but now he says ABU is the best So about your question, if you don't believe ABU stands out because of it's geographical location, no qualms. But stats don't lie. |

abumeinben: I'm a Uniben grad, but Ivy league in what area? Industrial/Economic impacts of the graduates? How the schools affect their communities? Researches conducted? Agricultural importance? The indices go on.
The list is merely that of 1st and few 2nd generation schools. Otherwise, FUTO knocks off some of those schools up there, starting with ABU You have to be constructive when making such facts. Don't allow sentiments and bigotry to cloud your reasoning capacity. FUTO can't even scratch ABU affiliated colleges. You think it's stones we're counting here? Every single department here stands out. Stop comparing ABU with universities that need you to either sort a lecturer or buy the lecturer's handout to pass a course. |

Elliot2: a lot of hausas r nice people;in fact,i prefer them to every other ethnic groups, including my ijaw people. however, their downside is the religious senstivity. "sanu" to all d hausas here. You're right bro. I've moved with alot of guys from different tribes but the Hausa guys always value friendship. Even in business, they're quite honest. They don't inflate prices unnecessarily. If two Hausa men are selling recharge cards somewhere and one seems to be getting more customers, he'll refer some customers to the other man selling recharge cards. If they're into repairs, you'll hardly see them play a fast one on you. They've got confidence too. Quite a friendly tribe. I still remember one Hausa man that helped me out in the park when I was short on cash. I've observed certain tribes too well and they seem to carry some kind of vendata in their DNA. |

His problem started the day he stoped being arrogant. The day he decided to remain trouble free. From the media and the players. He needs to bring himself back abeg. He meant Alex Ferguson. Seriously I don't like the way Mourinho became cool headed. It's because of his arrogance and controversial nature and crazy quotes that I became his fan. He's a winner, I don't know why he just became this calm guy. |
