seyewest: You mean Abu Dhabi? I don't think there's anything like that in Doha. I was screened at Doha but it's not a big deal. The officer there asked who I am visiting, what the person does, what I do in my country and the address I will be staying. |

Dear VO,
I want to visit the US for vacation during Christmas with my family, wife and three children (ages one to eight). I currently have a valid B1/B2 visa but none of my family members have a visa on their passports. Can I go with them for the interview. |

OmoBendel24: Good afternoon all, a quick one here please. I seem to have forgotten the way round this (scratches head). I intend applying for a renewal of my B1/B2 Visa soon. I have all my previous US visas in my expired Nigeria passport (and I have not misplaced it too).
My travels to the US and other places this past one year plus were done on a new passport (combined with the old because of the visas in it). As a result of this new passport not carrying a US Visa (CBP stamps are on it though), expired or unexpired, FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSE, should I then just schedule an appointment and go the one-on-one interview route or am I rather qualified for the Dropbox still as I have always done before (if yes, do I send in both passports or what)? Thanks....
LadyG, Seye, Nerf, Tzetzefly, Constance, 9jaStar, Kaptain, wey una? Make una chook mouth put for me.... Please, you should include your old passport with visa. my mum renewed her own last year via drop box. both old passport with visa and the new blank passport were submitted. |

ExpressBooking: Thanks everyone on this thread,I really appreciated the advice and suggestions by all towards my interview today June 13th 2017. Though I was denied but it was fun adding that experience to life.
My transcript goes thus; VO: Where are you going in the US Me: New York VO: What are going to do? Me: Vacation VO: What do you do? Me: I am the Managing director of .... and we do car importation and sales from US VO: Have you traveled out of Nigeria before? Me: Not at all VO: Do you have friends or family in the US Me: Friends VO: Do you intend to do any business in US? Me: Well as an online buyer from IAA Auctions in US, I might take time out to visit two Auction locations in NY just for fun. VO: How many cars have you imported from US? Me: Over 60 cars this year alone VO: How much do you intend to travel with on ur trip? Me: about $10k VO: I am sorry you are not approved for US Visa bla bla... and hands me the blue paper and my passport
Note: My passport is virgin. The lady was busy refusing people and I was praying on the queue that they shouldn't direct me to her and they did. Lessons learnt and experience acquired. I will try visiting UK before US again. IMO. Don't you think $10k is too small if you have in mind to buy cars from US in your visit, again having imported over 60 cars this year, that amount is really too small. |

MamaOO: Good Morning Everybody,
I'd like to make a booking on Qatar Airways from Lagos to LAX for two of my sisters. The trouble is, the prices they are showing is in dollars and I was hoping I can make payment in Naira cos I have money in my Nigerian account. How do you guys pay in Naira with Qatar Airways please? Do I need to call them to make that quote for me or what? Please help me out.
Thanks a lot. cc Nefertitiam, Sugah, LadyGuinevere, Seyewest, KaptainAfrica and anybody else that has an idea There is a provision for currency conversion in their site. Use it and it will give you the naira equivalent which you will now pay into their bank account with your booking reference no. They will confirm your payment and send you and e-ticket to your mail |

VisaOfficer: What I mean is if an adult US citizen can file for his/her sibling who is an adult, if it is possible, will the petition affect the beneficiary from getting a renewal of his/her B1/B2 visa even when he/she has never violated the terms of his B1/B2 visa.
Anything you do can affect a visa application, both positively and negatively. That said, I cannot predict the future. The only way to find out is to schedule an interview. At the interview, I would strongly recommend that you tell the truth about all pending applications.
Regards, VO Thank you so much for your response, however I do not have a pending immigrant application now, I only wanted to know the implication of a pending application to the outcome of the renewal of a non-immigrant visa. If I eventually have one. I will talk about it. For now, let me be enjoying my non-immigrant visa. Thanks |

[quote author=VisaOfficer post=57084210]I'm not sure I understand the question. A sibling can file for a sibling. A sibling can also file for his or her child. But a sibling cannot file for another person's child. Keep in mind that only U.S. citizens may file for a married adult child.
If you can clarify the question, I might be able to help. Otherwise, you might want to consult an immigration attorney.
Regards, VO

Dear VO,
I must thank you for the work you are doing, God bless you. I want to ask if a sibling can file an immigrant petition for a married adult child and how long it may likely take to process if that is possible. |

OmoBendel24: Yes, provided you have used it for the purpose it was issued already or if you have solid reasons to do so. It has been used for visit already and the business now is the outcome of the visit. Thanks for your input |

HELLO HOUSE, HOW MUCH IS CHARGED FOR TAX CLEARANCE. I WENT TO GET TAX CLEARANCE, THEY SAID THEY WILL PREPARE ONE WITHOUT INCOME, PLZ WILL THIS BE ACCEPTABLE AT THE UK EMBASSY THANKS |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by endyendy1: 6:04pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
justwise: Without tax clearance certificate it's difficult to evaluate your business. The 3million could be your capital or net profit...so tax certificate helps clarify that.
You can't use your capital for leisure trip hence the need to have personal account and business account so that money for a trip like this comes from your personal account while your business acts as your tie to Nigeria OK. THANKS. WILL LET YOU KNOW AS I PROGRESS. |
