Nice draws. Mynd44 if our club doesn't win the champions league this season, we should just forget it. |
I'm still finding it difficult to believe that this is my Manchester united. Imagine a defender like Mark Choir coming to our rescue to equalize for us. It's a shame men. |
Nigerians always marrying ugly whites all in the name of green card. |
A CALL FOR CHANGE: AN OPEN LETTER TO RUBEN AMORIM, MANCHESTER UNITED COACH By Olisa Man Utd Ngubin Dear Ruben Amorim, Forget the fact that you came to Manchester United mid-season and flopped by finishing 15th last season. Yes, we understood and supported you because you have your vision and the kind of players that can seamlessly fit in. The reason we said let the fresh season start is so that you can recruit your players. Now, the management has bought you enough attacking talents in Man United. The midfield is a serious concern, as everyone knows. The attacking line is one of the best three in the EPL if a good coach is in place. The match yesterday, Fulham 1-1 Man United, was largely due to your poor selection. My questions: 1. Does it make sense to bench Sesko, a brilliant striker for a second time, after such a huge investment, and start a makeshift striker like Mount instead? 2. Why can't Amad substitute Mbeumo instead of playing him as right wing-back? Or could Amad play first and get substituted by Mbeumo? 3. Why do you always like Bruno to play 90 minutes when it's obvious he's underperforming? Does being a captain mean you must play 90 minutes? 4. Does it mean Mainoo can't substitute captain Bruno? 5. What's stopping you from adding another talent that can complement Bruno, considering he's now 30 and can't play like he did in the last 3 to 5 years, especially given the physical demands of the EPL? 6. What is so special about Dalot that you like featuring him when most of his plays have flopped? Or is it because he's a fellow Portuguese? 7. Why do you believe only the 3-4-3 formation can work for you? Is it a sin to try another formation like 4-3-3, which is likely to fit the kind of players we have? 8. Do you even realize that playing Bruno as Central Midfield (CM) rather than Attacking Midfield (AM) is wasting his talent? 9. Do you think two midfielders can create chances for you in the English Premier League (EPL)? 10. Why do you always have starting XI selection problems? Up to now, you don't have a complete first team. This raises signs of an incompetent manager. 11. If you know Bruno is unfit for your style of play, and Saudi Arabia clubs are offering around £90m to £100m, why not disconnect those emotional ties and Portuguese solidarity and cash out to enable us to add additional midfielders? Moreover, your pattern requires more physical attacking players, and Bruno lacks it, unless you've changed your style of play. Finally, I'm pleading with the Man United management to get Amorim a good holding midfielder and a goalkeeper before the transfer window closes. After which, if by December 2025, there's no drastic improvement (meaning Man United is not in the top six), he should be axed out of the club, and another coach should come and try. We know transition is a gradual process, but you can't be in a club for almost a year and remain stagnant... #MUFC Thank you.📝 Copied

Breaking News: Mushin to Ikorodu — 18 Lagos Danger Zones Where Robbers, Cultists, and Hoodlums Rule Day and Night –Lagos Reporters Lagos, Nigeria’s bustling commercial capital, is a city full of energy, business opportunities, and round-the-clock hustle. But beneath the vibrant street life and neon-lit nightlife lies a darker reality pockets of danger where crime thrives unchecked. From daylight robberies in Ikeja to terrifying cult clashes in Igando, “One Chance” buses in Ikorodu, and brazen house lootings where entire homes are stripped of furniture without a trace, residents are crying out for urgent government and police intervention. Lagos Reporters brings you a comprehensive report on 18 notorious spots across Lagos where both residents and visitors are most vulnerable to theft, robbery, and violent attacks day or night. Here are the 18 most dangerous areas in Lagos where you must shine your eyes and proceed with extreme caution: Mushin (a.k.a. Mushin Olosha) An epicenter of criminal activity. Day or night, expect anything from phone snatching to violent street robberies Ajah Under Bridge Now a notorious hideout for hoodlums who terrorize residents and motorists. Victims report being robbed at gunpoint in traffic and even chased under the bridge late at night. Agege Under Bridge A hotbed for criminal activity. Hoodlums operate in the early hours (around 4am) and late at night (from 9pm), targeting lone pedestrians. Oyingbo Under Bridge Despite being near a police station, this area is a haven for bag snatchers and phone thieves. Victims often get no justice. Obalende Bridge Pickpockets roam freely here both day and night. Beware of “One Chance” buses where fake commercial drivers rob passengers mid-journey. Oshodi Under Bridge Infamous for armed robbery and extortion. Gangs operate in groups, making it unsafe for commuters, especially at night. Ikeja Under Bridge (Daylight Robbery) A major transportation hub but also a den of criminals disguised as regular passengers. Recent CCTV footage has shown violent daylight robberies victims stripped of jewelry and valuables in seconds. Iyana Iba Market Area Home to a syndicate of pickpockets who fear neither police nor daylight. Robbery is common both in the early morning and at night. Okokomaiko Nicknamed the “Headquarters of Pickpockets” in Lagos West. Thieves operate openly near the police station often with zero consequences. Orile Bus Stop Another hotspot for “One Chance” robbers and early-morning muggers. Crowds offer little protection here. Igando (Cult Fights & Robberies) Cult clashes are frequent, leaving residents in fear. Armed robbers storm homes at night, sometimes looting entire houses and carting away electronics, furniture, and valuables without leaving a trace. Ikorodu (One Chance Buses & Cult Clashes) Fake commercial buses lure unsuspecting passengers, who are later robbed at gunpoint and dumped by the roadside. Cult gang wars also erupt violently, making the area volatile. Ijora 7-Up A notorious zone where hoodlums dominate. Frequent cases of bag snatching and robbery in broad daylight. Idumota Considered the “Headquarters of Crime” in Lagos. Despite being a commercial hub, crimes of all kinds from pickpocketing to armed robbery are rampant. Even security forces struggle to control the area. Ojodu-Berger Criminals posing as commuters rob people at gunpoint. Bag and phone snatching is common on footbridges and bus stops. Shomolu-Bariga Axis Street urchins and area boys dominate here. Reports of daylight robbery are frequent, and victims often lose phones and wallets. Fadeyi A known trouble spot with recurring cases of thuggery, pickpocketing, and violent attacks both in the morning and at night. Mile 2 Criminals often break into cars during traffic. Violent robbery and pickpocketing are regular occurrences. Residents told Lagos Reporters that phone snatchers, house looters, and cult gangs are becoming bolder, often carrying out attacks in broad daylight. Some victims narrated how entire houses were cleared out overnight by robbers who vanished without a trace. Despite repeated police crackdowns, these criminal zones remain active. Security experts warn that without urgent intervention, Lagos may witness an escalation in violent street crime. Have you experienced or witnessed crime in any of these areas? Share your story with Lagos Reporters. Together, we can push for a safer Lagos. Copied

I don’t understand the cry about guys who earned millions in foreign currencies playing for clubs abroad, collect match bonuses in $$ to play for Nigeria then waste the money on the fast life and women, some married models and bought private jet they could not maintain at the peak of their careers instead of investing the monies to secure their future. Then when they go broke at their old age and barely able to cover their medical bill, they and some foolish Nigerians will start blaming the country for abandoning them after their sacrifices Is their sacrifice to Nigeria greater than soldiers who died or were wounded fighting for the country? What has Nigeria done for the soldiers or your old poor teachers who taught you in primary school and are being denied their pensions? You are not fighting the families of soldiers who laid down their lives or became incapacitated defending Nigeria but multimillionaire retired footballers who wasted their fortunes on the fast lane. The Assault on Our Daughter Jennifer Edema Will Not Go Unpunished. The Itsekiri nation, and indeed every right-thinking Nigerian, received with shock and outrage the horrifying video of her brutal assault in Anambra State. What took place was not merely an “incident” — it was a crime, a vile and dehumanizing act carried out by men who should never have been entrusted with any form of authority. On July 23, 2025, armed members of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, the so-called Agunechemba Vigilante Group — under the supervision of the Anambra State Police Command, stormed a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge, beating and humiliating innocent young Nigerians. They singled out our daughter, Jennifer Edema, stripping her naked, leaving her bloodied, degraded, and traumatized for life. These were not acts of discipline or law enforcement. They were acts of savagery, borne of lawlessness, misogyny, and sheer cruelty. We call upon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and all credible human rights organizations, both national and international, to step into this matter without delay. This is not just an assault on one woman; it is an assault on the entire idea of service, on the dignity of women, and on the humanity we all share. If Nigeria cannot guarantee the safety of its daughters serving far from home under a federal mandate, then the very essence of the NYSC is in question. For us, the Itsekiri people, this attack cuts deeply. Our women are our pride, the backbone of our nation. We do not joke with them, and we will never keep silent when they are humiliated. This is not the first time our women, or Deltan women generally, have been subjected to harassment, intimidation, and abuse in certain eastern states. Reports of sexual violence and exploitation are not new, and now we have reached a new low: our daughter, left home for national service, was treated like an animal by those unfit to call themselves men. We call directly on Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State to ensure that those responsible for this vile act — every single individual involved — is identified, arrested, and prosecuted in accordance with the law. If the state government and its police command fail in this responsibility, we will have no choice but to pursue legal redress against both the Anambra State Government and the Nigeria Police Force in Anambra State. Let it be clearly said: only cowardly weak men, men who were never loved by their mothers, could commit such inhumane acts against a woman. The actions of these vigilantes are a shameful reflection of barbarism, a disgrace to our nation, and a stain on the conscience of all who remain silent. To threaten sexual assault, to strip a woman naked in the name of “justice,” is to confess to being less than human. We therefore demand without compromise: the immediate arrest and prosecution of all members of the vigilante group involved in this assault; a full investigation into the role of the Anambra Police Command in sanctioning or enabling this barbarity; a formal apology from the Anambra State Government and compensation for the victims; and a guarantee of safety for all corps members serving in Anambra State and across Nigeria. Until these demands are met, we will not relent. Justice must not only be done; it must be seen to be done. The humiliation of Jennifer Edema is the humiliation of every Nigerian daughter, every mother, and every sister. This wound will not heal with silence, it will only heal with justice, accountability, and punishment for those guilty of this savagery. We stand with Jennifer. We stand with every woman who has suffered in silence. And we will not stop until justice prevails. ✍🏽 Lord_of_Warri on 𝕏 (Twitter). Itsekiri Activist and Historian.
