MY TAKE ON VDM ASSERTION ON THE COALITION AND MATTERS ARISING: VDM knows little or nothing about how Nigerian politics works and about how Nigerian politicians think and operate. Na sense them take dey kill rat inside pot, otherwise you will break the pot and the rat will run away! From the way Tinubu and APC are presently positioned; we will need old hands and people who also know the political Chess game to unseat Tinubu in 2027. People that have been in politics for a long time and know the tricks. I see this coalition becoming more and more formidable as time goes on and Tinubu himself will get to understand that he is not the only master of the game. No man is an Island or has monopoly of wisdom! The truth is; Tinubu's hope is in INEC; but unknown to him, you don't deceive an Ashawo twice and get away with it. INEC will not be that co-operative with Tinubu in 2027 like they did in 2023 because the Northern elders are going to call Prof Mamood and talk with him. The Political atmosphere in 2027 will be so tensed that all players will advice themselves to play fair, otherwise the consequences may be catastrophic. Again; majority of Nigerians; including those that voted for APC in 2023 are now so aware and informed; and they feel so disappointed in Tinubu's government because they expected more than this from Tinubu as an elderly man who should have had lots of compassion. And 60% of Nigerians that voted for APC/Tinubu in 2023 may not do so in 2027. Lastly, 2027 will be so different from 2023 and I doubt if Tinubu will be able to withstand the heat from millions of hungry and angry Nigerians. Sharing mere handouts or vote buying may not work for APC this time around because Nigerians have been deceived greatly and Nigerians know better now. In conclusion, no man steals power and uses it for the good of the people; and you can not deceive an Ashawo twice and get away with it. Nigerians expected more from this government; but unfortunately this is where we are. As a matter of importance; the ADC must have Mr. Peter Obi as their consensus presidential candidate. VDM position about this coalition should not be taken seriously. They are just figments of his opinion. By Engr. Osaro Edosa Ogbewe. CEO: African-World Development Organization; Chicago; USA Copied

The Hypocrisy is Loud! So now all the political elders who have failed Nigeria in their own corners are suddenly rallying under ADC not to build, not to impact, but to fight Asiwaju. United not by vision, but by hate. Ireti, as a sitting Senator of the FCT, joined ADC to make noise yet the children in her own constituency are at home with no schools running. What exactly is she fighting for, if not clout? Let’s talk about El-Rufai. He was never loved by his people. His time in Kaduna was marked by religious crises and bloodshed worse than what we saw in Benue. But now he wants to rebrand as a saviour? Dino Melaye? Known more for drama and controversy than any real legislative contribution. A clown in agbada. And Atiku? The same Atiku accused of turning Customs into a personal ATM, of commercializing governance. This is the one they all flock to when their ambitions fail. But the biggest heartbreak for me is Peter Obi. The man who once stood on a ‘New Nigeria’ mantra is now comfortably rubbing shoulders with the same political snakes he preached against. For what? To be liked? To stay relevant? To please Atiku? This new ADC isn’t a movement. It’s a recruitment center for expired politicians who share one common enemy, not one common goal. Let me remind you all an enemy to the President is an enemy to the Nation. You can serve Nigeria without holding office. You can bring about change without being on a ballot. But what do I know? I’m just a young Nigerian who still believes in truth over trend. Copied

Can the ADC-Led Coalition Deliver a New Nigeria? The winds of political realignment are stirring once again in Nigeria. This time, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is not alone in its quest to rewrite the country’s political destiny. It now stands at the nucleus of an emerging coalition a convergence of political heavyweights, disgruntled power brokers, and reform-minded leaders including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai,Rotimi Amaechi ,David Mark, and a host of others fleeing the fracturing remains of the APC and PDP. On paper, this is no ordinary alliance. It is a potent mix of experience, resources, national name recognition, and cross-regional appeal. But the fundamental question remains: Can this coalition deliver a truly New Nigeria or is this just old wine in a recycled bottle? Let’s be clear this is not a ragtag team of ideological dreamers. This is a league of tested, ambitious political actors who have held and in many cases, wielded real power. Atiku, the perennial presidential contender and master of the political ground game. Peter Obi, the clean-cut technocrat with youth appeal. El-Rufai, the polarizing but strategic former governor with a track record for bold reforms. David Mark, the military-turned-democratic elder statesman with deep legislative knowledge. Together, they represent a rare blend of electoral viability and governance experience. Like the Labour party in 2023 the ADC will be a genuine threat to Nigeria’s two-party dominance. But a fundamental contradiction lingers beneath the surface: Are these men truly aligned in vision, or merely united in vengeance against their former parties? There’s an understandable skepticism among Nigerians: Can the same political figures who helped engineer the current dysfunction suddenly become the architects of reform? Atiku and El-Rufai are seasoned politicians, yes, but they are also deeply entrenched in the very system the “New Nigeria” must dismantle. Peter Obi may offer a veneer of freshness, but he alone cannot detoxify a coalition weighed down by contradictions. In my opinion, for this coalition to gain moral legitimacy, it must move beyond power calculus and present a coherent, actionable vision. A vision that goes beyond campaign sloganeering and tackles structural reforms from electoral integrity to fiscal federalism, education, healthcare, and the decentralization of power. Coalitions in Nigeria are not undone by lack of support they’re undone by clashing egos, regional suspicion, and short-term ambition. Who will lead this coalition into 2027? Will Atiku step back for Obi? Will El-Rufai accept a secondary role? Can David Mark play the unifying elder without bias? Without a well-defined leadership structure and conflict resolution framework, this coalition risks becoming just another footnote in Nigeria’s political history like the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) or the Third Force movements of years past. This is not just a battle for power; it is a battle for Nigeria’s soul. If the ADC-led coalition can discipline itself, shed its baggage, and communicate a new political ethos rooted in transparency, accountability, and justice it just might unlock the long-elusive New Nigeria. But Nigerians are watching. Hope is no longer enough. Sentiment has an expiration date. Performance, unity, and credibility will be the real tests. Until then, this coalition remains a powerful possibility but not yet a guaranteed path to redemption. Copied from Ben Dodo's Facebook page
