Career / I Just Lost My Job. I Feel devastated by englishmart(m): 7:20am On Jan 30 |
I just got relieved from work. I'm out of my mind right now. Where do I go from here? I've been working with this company for 10 years as a lift operator. At some point I learnt how to clear fatal and reset the lifts if they got faulty. I can even drive on inspection or reservation. All the while I worked there, I spent almost all I earned financing my family. I, to 80% saw my immediate younger brother and sister through school through my earnings. The only savings I have is less than 16k. That's probably what I will survive on pending when I get a new job. It's absolutely frustrating. I wish I saved for the rainy day. But how could i have possibly saved when I earned less than a 100k with so much to take care of? I'm a popular figure here and have contributed immensely to Nairaland. @seun lalasticlala 4 Likes 1 Share |

APC is a terrorist party. The number of Nigerians who have lost their lives since APC took over in 2015 is more than the number of Germans who died in WW2. Buhari was the worst thing to happen to Nigeria before Pablo Ecowas happened 10 Likes 5 Shares |

Cossybob:His real name is Chinaza, I don't know where Philip is coming from. His surname is Okoye. That's all I know. I'm Igbo, too, in case your refusal to reason is tribe-induced. I didn't say he was a kidnapper, I only know him so well to know that he's a desperate guy who was willing to do anything to make money. You know it's suspect when you show wealth without any commensurate source of income. I would have uploaded a picture of mine with him in the background, but I don't want to be linked with an alleged kidnapper. Even if I showed you more proof, it wouldn't change your mind 19 Likes 1 Share |

Cossybob:You are delusional. Can't you check out his Facebook page? How did I know he's package Nwamama on Facebook if we're not mutual friends? If he hadn't been arrested, and my help was needed, I would have led whoever needed to pick him up to his family house. He has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. NzogbuNzogbu:Tinubu didn't make noise. In fact, the guy avoided every platform that would avail the masses the chance to hear what he had to offer. He spoke mostly through surrogates, yet we stupidly thought he had anything to offer. The man bought his way into power. Nobody buys their way into power if they intend to perform. 39 Likes |

Chinaza and his family moved from Karmo to Akaraka village after the 2006 Karmo demolitions. He wasn't born earlier than 1995. He was about 10 years old when they moved to Akaraka village. His Dad was an electrician, while his mom was into vegetable farming, which she sold every Tuesday at Karmo Market, Abuja. His secondary school education was in GSS Gwarimpa. He went further to Nasarawa Polytechnic for some electrical-related courses. Whenever he was on break, he would go out to work with his electrician dad in their sienna, Mercedes 190, whichever they chose. He was a very good left-back while we were growing up, and I was one of his coaches. He stopped playing football when he saw he had no future there. During the COVID, while everyone sat at home, he launched a small barbershop and furnished it. Some weeks later, he opened a table tennis station, where I always spent my day during the sit-at-home period sometime in March. Still, during the lockdown, he bought a fairly used car and gave it out for daily or weekly returns. My friends and I were wondering how he made that much money when everyone cried for the lack of it. I saw a post on his Facebook page sometime in 2022, where he said he needed a 2-bedroom flat and his budget was 700k to #1 million. His choice locations were Kubwa, Life Camp or Dawaki. I couldn't believe my eyes, this was a guy whose dad, as of 2021 had over 20 rooms in Akaraka. "What does this guy do?" I asked myself. The guy and his younger brother were the village celebrities. He wore original designers and went out with 10/10 babes, leaving everyone agape. I just believed he was getting a lot of contracts, but then, who spends legit money like that? I contacted some of my peers in Akaraka recently and they told me He had bought a Toyota SUV. Wow, just wow! I also know that he does music, and has a couple of tracks and videos. His younger brother recently featured Zlatan Ibile, you will find this information on Chinaza's official page. Meanwhile, his name is Chinaza Okorie, and the lady claiming to be his sister, whose picture I saw on Twitter isn't his sister. I know his three sisters very well. I even almost had a fling with one of them. I think he was doing something shady, pushing money into his music, hoping to blow through music. 14 Likes

The reason the president can't hold thieves in other parastatals accountable is that he's a bigger thief and most of the leaders of those parastatals have damning evidence on him. See how much customs generate, yet we borrow to fund budgets. Do you have any idea how much the police force extorts, and in some cases forcefully obtains from civilians? That should be enough to find a decade budget. Do you know how much Tinuhu paid Chicago State University to enshroud his certificate fraud? 2 Likes |
