He is wrong in many ways. It is not just about building or creating new models just so the older ones could be obsolete.

Positive continuity is key and vital in any government. A newer model would mean a restart and a deeper dive into the country's resources which could yield little or no return in the end.

Challenging some older models is a disaster waiting to happen.

The truth of the matter and what I see of this PSG team now and in the future is that the strength and competitiveness of thehome league matters because no matter how much is invested in a club by way of players and coaches form is important and a team can only maintain top form if the quality of opposition it plays week in week out is high. That is why Spanish teams do so well on the continent. They play at a high level every week.

So the owners of PSG should realise that football is not just a team game but a 'teams game'. It is the same reason that Celtic with all the experience of playing champions league every year cannot make impact due to the poor standard of the Scottish league. The gap between PSG and the rest is just too huge and the FFF had better find the means of attracting investment to other clubs. The speading investments in the English game attracting international talent on the field and dugout has resulted in the large number of English clubs in the latter stages of thd CL.

Incidentally it is why Nigerian clubs are poor on the continent. The quality of the home league matters.
