temisartana: NO, HE COMMITTED SUICIDE BECAUSE OF HARDSHIP. It true that NELFUND is trying but majority of students have not started receiving the so called upkeep of 20k monthly despite application being approved since August, 2024. And can you just imagine an upkeep of such little amount in this hardship and NELFUND are not even faithful in the payment. For instance, in LASU, they just started the 20k upkeep payment January,2025, even since July 2024 loan approval.
And secondly, the institutional fees paid to school direct are yet to be paid to students school fees account while this a loan that much be paid back. Things are really hard and students are the worst hit. NELFUND should try to pay the accrued UPKEEP, do an upward review of the UPKEEP and be faithful in the payment. A lot of students are depressed because of hardship. Things are really hard to them. Just watch out for more of this bad news if nothing is done about my complain here. So longer as school fees is paid, I don't think a student with intelligence cannot survive the campus |

haybee2018: Oga abi na Madam, am not so sure you know what you're saying ....so that NELFUND you mentioned is giving out millions to students' as pocket money abii?? Do proper findings before speaking out trash.....as a successful applicant of the student loan, you only get 20k monthly as stipends paid directly into your acct while the main tuition fee is paid directly to the school. So tell me how 20k is gonna keep you till the end of the month considering the current hyper-inflation we have in this country? You don't stay in the corner of your room or whicheva place you're commenting from and be judging people anyhow.....that's not FAIR! I was once a student. The major thing most students complain about is school fees not feeding money because you can hustle that in school. Now, if NELFUND gives you 20k, your parents or guardians give you another 20k, then where is the hardship? There are some many businesses a student can do in campus area to support his/ herself. This guy just killed himself for nothing if it's because of hardship |

Politics › Re: What Value Has Government Added To Nigerians From Subsidy Removal? by Enice(m): 11:10pm On Feb 01, 2025 |
givedemwotowoto: With petrol subsidy, the average car owner in Nigeria saved about N140,000 monthly or N1.6 million naira annually. The math is simple. If you used 50 liters of petrol weekly, that was about N15,000 compared to N50,000 naira now.
Subsidy removal means government took away over N1 million naira annually from millions of households.
What has the government done for Nigerians to justify taking away millions of naira annually from their households? You're acting as if government is taking money from your pocket. Government was borrowing money to pay for subsidy. It's not as if government had the money. Therefore borrowing for subsidy has stop. Nobody is taking any money from you. You paying for what you consume |

Why is Amaechi so bitter! Paying someone to do something is not a crime! It's a normal thing everywhere. It can come in different ways. Like free food, free transport to the protest ground, mobilization money etc |

Calitoscassius: Yes, if she is adopted then there should be documents and proofs supporting the adoption. They are not saying the child is adopted, they are claiming biological.
It is not because Mr Odiete is an african man. Why did Mr Odiete not tell them the child is adopted from the start?
Mr Odiete also provided false document, did you even read the article? Oga! What I'm saying is that not being a biological parent should not stop someone from being given a residency permit after staying years together as father and daughter. The DNA test should have been carried out at the initial stage. Doing it now is an error |
Family › Re: U.S. Denies Residency To Nigerian Woman After DNA Shows Sponsor Not Her Father by Enice(m): 10:07am On Jan 28, 2025 |
These people are taking this thing too far! It's not a must that a daughter must be biological! We've seen were celebrities have adopted kids from Africa and those kids were granted citizenship. Or is it because Mr. Odiete is an African man! |

I know that hunger could lead to frustration and that at the moment that TPain is slowly but effectively strangling you guys with hunger
But dear this conversation is about Kanu and Bashir I don't have anger issues. I'm just stating the facts. Because no one in their right mind will support what MNK did. It's only Obi supporters that's in support of it. |

We all know he can do anything because of politics. If he joins IPOB, I will be the first to call him a terrorist. |

dettolgel: Him also as a citizen can drag you to court to proof it if he so wishes. It will be left for the court to decide between the two of you who is right. For your information, before anyone is given a tag of terrorist, the government must have proscribed and gazetted the organisation that person belongs to. Once that is done, anyone belonging to that organisation is a terrorist. IPOB has been proscribed by the government and gazetted as a terrorist group. MNK belongs to IPOB, therefore MNK is a terrorist. Simple as ABC |

Politics › Re: Terrorist Kingpin, Bello Turji Says He Is Ready To Surrender - CDS Musa by Enice(m): 11:03pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
Just like MNK suing Bashir Ahmed to court for defamation for calling him a terrorist. Someone said the suit was in order because Kanu has not been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction! I asked, has Bello Turgi been convicted of terrorism before been called a kingpin terrorist? No. |
Politics › Re: Kanu Slams ₦100 Billion Defamation Suit On Bashir Ahmad by Enice(m): 10:26pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
dettolgel: Until he is proven guilty before anyone is allowed to tag whatever crime he is convicted of? Yeah but being tagged a terrorist is different. A person is tagged a terrorist when their actions directly or indirectly leads to lost of properties, lives, and emotional disturbance to a group of persons. Kanu ordered killings, destruction of private and public properties, kidnappings etc. This are facts, of which proofs are in the public domain. So I ask, can't such a person because labelled a terrorist? |
Politics › Re: Kanu Slams ₦100 Billion Defamation Suit On Bashir Ahmad by Enice(m): 8:13pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
dettolgel: Why is the government then wasting time with him in court trying to prove their case? Nobody is wasting any time. There's What's call law and order. So that no one man takes law unto himself. This has to be followed to prove "beyond reasonable doubts" that a man is guilty as charged. Even if you commit a crime in the presence of all the police, judiciary and lawyers in this country, you still have to go through trial. That's the law. |
Politics › Re: Kanu Slams ₦100 Billion Defamation Suit On Bashir Ahmad by Enice(m): 12:37pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
dettolgel: The FG took him to court for the court to confirm their allegations. If FG wins they he comes a terrorist and will be treated as one. As at the moment no court has confirmed him a terrorist.
So at the moment Bashir is defaming him.
For instance if you are caught robbing someone you are an alleged right armed robber until the court says you are either a confirmed armed robber or an innocent man. Until then whoever calls you an armed robber runs the risk of defamation Oga, stop this talk! Osama bin laden was never convicted in any court of law before he was labelled a terrorist. Also, what would you call the man Bello Turgi? A law abiding citizen just because he's not been apprehended! |

Useless contributions from a useless citizen Thank you my brother! The slowpoke is just trying to compare dicks. There's a difference between a fire caused by a tanker explosion and a natural disaster. One is spontaneous while the other is not. Also, the level of awareness of the consequences of a tanker explosion in Nigeria and Africa is very low. Another thing is response to a fire outbreak is a state matter not federal. Most of these activists are just looking for ways to sale themselves to the highest bidder |

Bede2u: The indigenous population of Brazil are less than 3%. The vast majority (97%) are of African or European decent. Majority of the European (White) Brazilians come from Portugal. Just as majority of Australians come from UK So what is the mother tongue of Ikwere people? I can tell you now that as an igbo man I can understand 'Ikwere' 100% I won't respond to you again because your arguments are childish and I don't have time for inconsequential talk with a toddler. Toddler you say! When they're defeated by superior arguments, they resort to insults. |
Politics › Re: I’m Not Igbo – Wike by Enice(m): 10:14am On Jan 20, 2025 |
Bede2u: Language is the most important aspect of culture. Igbos never conquered Ikwere. Unlike English spoken in nigeria because England colonised us, Igbo is spoken in Ikwere as mother tongue. Portugal established a settler colony in Brazil. Majority of white Brazilians have Portuguese ancestors. Stop arguing like a kid, before I treat you like one Maybe you should comprehend before replying a poser. I said trade, war or religion. So because Portugal established a settler colony in Brazil, the indigenous people are now Portuguese! Clap for yourself. Also , Igbo is not spoken in ikwerre as a mother tongue! Lie! Soon you'll call English a mother tongue in Nigeria |
Politics › Re: I’m Not Igbo – Wike by Enice(m): 9:59am On Jan 20, 2025 |
Bede2u: Actually Brazilians are Portuguese and Yorubas, they didn't fall from heaven. Switzerland and Austrians are ethnic Germans too. An Igbo man can understand Ikwere as much as they can understand Nsukka or other non-central Igbo dialects spoken outside the major cities. Yeah! Soon you'll say Nigerians are English because we speak English. Brazilians are not Portuguese. The speak the Portuguese language but majority are called Indians. Language is just a communication tools most time promoted by trade, war and religion. The superior language becomes that which the conqueror speaks |
