For the new testament, there wasn't a single book but several materials existed dat were claimed to be written by the apostles eg gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Judas iscariot. So d council decided to sit down and review all these materials to decide wch ones should be permanently discarded and wch ones should be upheld. In d first version of Bible dey authorized, there was no book of revelation sef. It was years after dat dey reviewed it and added the book of revelation. If u av a contrary information, site a reliable source and we will read from it
