In summary, then, even as I am convinced that the one true religion is Christianity itself, not some religious system claiming to represent and exemplify it, I also believe that the truth is found in the Scriptures, not in any particular set of interpretations that men have developed or may yet develop. That truth is not only in the words themselves but also in the revelation they bring to us of God and of his Son. We will almost inevitably differ in our understanding on some points but, if governed by God’s spirit, should have no great difficulty in agreeing on those teachings clearly and plainly stated.

You keep sounding like the ill-mannered drunkards of Ephraim. What you should do is to buy the book titled "Bible Idioms for Mor0ns" which features:
1. "'But, if thy right eye doth cause thee to stumble, pluck it out and cast from thee, for it is good to thee that one of thy members may perish, and not thy whole body be cast to gehenna."
2. "The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence."
3. "Turn the other cheek"
4. "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one"
5. "go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor"

You can also get hold of the PDF version of John Gills "Exposition of the Entire Bible" While stumbling on - read Prof. Yoder Ellul, revised edition of "Anarchy and Christianity", maybe this will soothe the plague afflicting your scrotum and ease the pernicious brainwashing of your soul.

Bot, incase u don't know, most Pentecostal churches aren't even members of CAN, dey are political and do not represent the entire Christian body. During civil war, last i checked, it was catholics and Orthodox dat were providing relief materials and treatments to victims or the war, JW were no place to be found. Pentecostalism was almost non existent as at dat time. The Pentecostal churches today started late 70s and early 80s in case dey didn't tell you. Ur society is a disgrace to Jesus Christ, self centered and non sacrificing. U rather sit in ur kingdom halls and spread biles and make ur self feel self righteous dan to reach out to victims of crisis. Shame on you

The catholic church library and the pope as well as the catholic church are your masters because your pastors can't afford the research and institutional resources to question history and see how doctrines and cultures are been controlled by the powerful organizations that existed before Protestantism and Pentecostalism! Politics / Police Commissioner Says Investigation Of Mace Theft At Senate May Take 10 Years by enimooko: 1:17pm On May 24, 2018
https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/mace-theft-n-assembly-kicks-as-police-say-investigation-may-take-10yrs-251929.html

The National Assembly panel, probing invasion of the Senate yesterday decried delay in completion of police investigation on the matter, over a month after the incident.

The joint committee of Senate and House co-chaired by Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah (APC, Kebbi) and Rep Betty Apiafi (PDP, Rivers) made the position known, when the commissioner of police in charge of IG monitoring unit, Abu Sani appeared before the panel.

Suspected thugs numbering five had on April 18, this year invaded the Senate and carted away with the Mace, the symbol of authority of the Senate.

Sani had told the committee that the investigation into the matter was inconclusive and assured the panel that they were working to get to the root of the matter.

He said the suspects arrested in connection with the matter have denied their involvement.

“The CCTV that was supposed to capture what happened from outside to inside the chamber was not functional. That would have assisted in puncturing the denial of the suspects,” he said.

He said the internal security of the hallowed chamber that was left in the hands of the Sergeant at arms compounded the matter. He said the Sergeant at arms (National Assembly) relied on GSM to communicate rather than radio when the thugs struck.

The police commissioner said they were still trying to establish the link between the suspects in their custody and those that carted away with the Mace. He presented an interim report of the police to the panel.

Our correspondent reports that when Rep Apiafi expressed reservation over the delay in the completion of the investigation, Sani said it could take up to 10years. She replied by saying it could even be 30 years.

In his submission, Na’Allah said the police was not adhering to rule of law in their investigation, “Otherwise the suspects would have been charged to court through FIR (First Information Report).”

Why I won’t talk - Omo-Agege

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege (APC, Delta) declined to speak when he appeared before the panel.

“I would have loved to take this opportunity to respond to the allegations raised. But I am here to inform you that I have gone to court and parties have been served.

“The action was taken on the May 21, 2018 and all the parties enumerated have been served.”

Ndume denies directing mace bearer

Senator Ali Ndume (APC,Borno) yesterday denied the allegation that he stopped the deputy mace bearer from taking the mace from the table when the thugs struck.

Ndume spoke when he appeared before the panel, saying he lacked the authority to do so. He promised to submit a memo to the panel on how to review the National Assembly security architecture.

“I didn’t know in my whole years in this National Assembly that we are that exposed, for some people to just come in and take the mace and run away.

“For me to prevent somebody or to advise somebody not to do his job is just totally out of place because I don’t have the authority to do that. I did not do that, I cannot do that and I’m not supposed to do that,” he said.

(am just pretending like i agree with you ni oo. But u need to drop a link to where you got dat ir info from).

Here is whats wiki says.
The development of the New Testament canon was, like that of the Old Testament, a gradual process.

Irenaeus (died c. 202) quotes and cites 21 books that would end up as part of the New Testament, but does not use Philemon, Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 3 John and Jude.[4] By the early 3rd century Origen of Alexandria may have been using the same 27 books as in the modern New Testament, though there were still disputes over the canonicity of Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 2 and 3 John, and Revelation[5] (see also Antilegomena). Likewise by 200 the Muratorian fragment shows that there existed a set of Christian writings somewhat similar to what is now the New Testament, which included four gospels and argued against objections to them.[6] Thus, while there was plenty of discussion in the Early Church over the New Testament canon, the "major" writings were accepted by almost all Christian authorities by the middle of the second century.[7]

The next two hundred years followed a similar process of continual discussion throughout the entire Church, and localized refinements of acceptance. This process was not yet complete at the time of the First Council of Nicaea in 325, though substantial progress had been made by then. Though a list was clearly necessary to fulfill Constantine's commission in 331 of fifty copies of the Bible for the Church at Constantinople, no concrete evidence exists to indicate that it was considered to be a formal canon. In the absence of a canonical list, the resolution of questions would normally have been directed through the see of Constantinople, in consultation with Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea (who was given the commission), and perhaps other bishops who were available locally.

In his Easter letter of 367, Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria, gave a list of exactly the same books that would formally become the New Testament canon,[8] and he used the word "canonized" (kanonizomena) in regard to them.[9] The first council that accepted the present Catholic canon (the Canon of Trent) may have been the Synod of Hippo Regius in North Africa (393). The acts of this council, however, are lost. A brief summary of the acts was read at and accepted by the Council of Carthage (397) and the Council of Carthage (419).[10] These councils took place under the authority of St. Augustine, who regarded the canon as already closed.[11] Pope Damasus I's Council of Rome in 382, if the Decretum Gelasianum is correctly associated with it, issued a biblical canon identical to that mentioned above,[8] or if not the list is at least a 6th-century compilation[12] claiming a 4th-century imprimatur.[13] Likewise, Damasus's commissioning of the Latin Vulgate edition of the Bible, c. 383, was instrumental in the fixation of the canon in the West.[14] In 405, Pope Innocent I sent a list of the sacred books to a Gallic bishop, Exsuperius of Toulouse. When these bishops and councils spoke on the matter, however, they were not defining something new, but instead "were ratifying what had already become the mind of the church."[15] Thus, from the 5th century onward, the Western Church was unanimous concerning the New Testament canon.[16]

The last book to be accepted universally was the Book of Revelation, though with time all the Eastern Church also agreed. Thus, by the 5th century, both the Western and Eastern churches had come into agreement on the matter of the New Testament canon.[17] The Council of Trent of 1546 reaffirmed that finalization for Catholicism in the wake of the Protestant Reformation.[18] The Thirty-Nine Articles of 1563 for the Church of England and the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1647 for English Calvinism established the official finalizations for those new branches of Christianity in light of the break with Rome. The Synod of Jerusalem of 1672 made no changes to the New Testament canon for any Orthodox, but resolved some questions about some of the minor Old Testament books for the Greek Orthodox and most other Orthodox jurisdictions (who chose to accept it).

Pentecostal brainwashing is achieved by blindly working to answer. From 100 CE the true Christians always knew the canon of the holy writings! It was not compiled for them by apostates. A state church in 400AD can start adopting positions as Church positions but this does not confer them with compiling authority for true Christians. Even during the prophesied era apostatizing, individual members that your forefathers persecuted disagreed with state church and continued preaching the truth! The canon of what to accept or what lies outside is not the dictation of some popes or bishops or holy fathers as you were brainwashed to to howl.

Now that you have revealed your non christian governing body of Wikipedia OR

Some church will like to say they determined the canon! i.e. determined the library that is now the bible...
The Christians living between 31CE to 100CE will have known who-and-who to accept as anointed brothers. So what miracle is needed to know which apostle is authentic and which books were inspired. You mean the holy spirit will not guide the congregation towards using only the texts meant to be part of the canon. Because you are a Pentecostal you can't accept the reality of compiling the bible: The bible says those under inspiration were the writers. According to your Pentecostal interpretation the compilers are also under inspiration. And you wish your pastors to be the compilers. keep dreaming, it is free......

150 to 170 C.E. -
Tatian, Greek Tatianos, (born 120 ce, Syria—died April 173), Syrian compiler of the Diatessaron (Greek: “Through Four,” “From Four,” or “Out of Four”), a version of the four Gospels arranged in a single continuous narrative that, in its Syriac form, served the biblical-theological vocabulary of the Syrian church for centuries. Its Greek and Latin versions influenced the Gospel text. Tatian also founded, or at least was closely associated with, the heretical sect of the Encratites, a community integrating a severe asceticism with elements of Stoic philosophy.
So a composite account of Jesus’ life compiled from the same four Gospels found in our present Bibles, indicated that he considered only those Gospels to be authentic and that they were already in circulation.

About 170 C.E.,
The Muratorian fragment is a copy of perhaps the oldest known list of most of the books of the New Testament. Hence, the earliest known catalog of “New Testament” books, called the Muratorian Fragment, was produced. It lists most of the books of the Christian Greek Scriptures.

how many Jehova withness kingdom halls av been destroyed in d north so far? D war now affects everyone but wen it started out, it was solely Christians dat d insurgents were initially after. Muslims in dis country even has right to talk about persecution before you guys
hahaahaha. right to talk about persecution? You know folks like you who did not live in Maiduguri in 2013 and did not know how politicians and religious leaders shape conversations in the media, just sit in the cities in PH, Abuja or other cities to swallow the sewage spewed out to you by your priests!

the insurgents initially had nothing to do with Christians. it was a betrayal between the BH leader and the politicians. The BH leader felt deceived by Borno Governor........in Benue the government have been allowing cult kllings and terror to go on for a very long time. Most of the cult fights in Benue are groups populated by individual "Christians" - until the whole north was engulfed - but you are ignorant and clueless and you swaloow the persecution story by your daddy GOs

ur belove brother said John d Baptist birthed by Elizabeth was Elijah reincarnate grin grin.. Maybe he actually isn't a true Christian like u said
Judge him as you wish. But my question to you is: why a true christian will accept reincarnation instead of Resurrection.
