Juwon21:Thanks a lot |
Hi everyone, On my I20, my program starts 11th of January 2021. Earliest date of arrival on my I20 is equally 12th December 2020. While filling my DS160, I was asked if I have made travel plans which I ticked no. However, there was another question that ask for the expected day of coming to the US (can't remember the exact lines). For this, I put in 23rd of December 2020. Now, is it possible I travel before then? Maybe 15th. I heard it's not possible. |
Anybodie:Thanks. I became even more concerned when the yellow paper was collected too. |
Hi everyone, For those that have been interviewed for visa of recent , what is the next step? Were your documents returned to you after paying the reciprocity fee (SEVIS, i20, passport)? |
Andyhasting:The passport uploaded on my DS-160 was taken with a phone, with white background and other specification size. This means I have to print this picture on my phone. Thanks for letting me know this. |
Walspring:What if i have paid the SEVIS fee earlier + also earlier paid the visa fee? Will the new I20 mean I have to refill the DS-160 form and repay the SEVIS fee? |
Slowly
|
LagosismyHome:Thank you very much. |
eniolabsc:I would be grateful if someone could help me with this. Thanks in anticipation |
Hi everyone I was admitted for my graduate studies in the U.S for Fall 2020. I have paid the SEVIS fee, gotten my I20, filled the DS160 form and also paid for visa. Because of the visa restrictions in Nigeria, I deferred to Spring 2021. I have also gotten the new I20 for Spring 2021. I need advice on how to proceed this time. Do I need to fill the DS160 form again and apply for a visa? I read online that SEVIS fee is valid for a year, same with visa fee. I would be grateful if someone could make this process clearer! Thanks in anticipation. |
Yes i say again! Yahoo yahoo is good. This sounds really appalling to most readers now. Some may even think I'm not with my right senses. Now let me ask a question to ensure people are following up with my post before i continue. I should get at least 3 replies from readers before i walked down my memory lane. Now the question goes thus Why do you think students engage in Yahoo yahoo? |
Even as such, after completing the rigorous university education, you still may not have a job to do. I ask myself-- Those that study mathematics, What job can they do apart from lecturing. Do not allow schooling to deter your education. I am less surprised by the way the so called Internet fraudsters of which are majorly university students has taken it upon themselves and doubled their efforts in this season of high dollar rate; Blames shouldnt be on them totally but on Nigeria education system. |
Most people may not find my topic appalling, while others will. The reason for this topic is because of the situation of things in Nigeria. The present webometrics on the ranking of Nigeria institution in Africa and in the world elucidates this better. With the rigors of hardwork done in Federal universities in Nigeria, Nigeria should be top-ranked which is not the case. One of the reason for my claim is that -The way our gradepoint is calculated amazes me. Though I've had different opportunities to learn how to calculate gp. Its time we do our calculation ourselves and compare with abroad. You know abroad basically uses a system of calculation which is 4point grading system while in Nigeria, we employ close to 5grading systems such as 10point grading system, 7point grading system, 5point grading system, 4point grading system. This is how ridiculous our grading system is. There are various android apps on playstore that allows you calculate and compare your gradepoint with other countries. I recommend Universal gradepointer because it supports both abroad grading system and all areas of Nigeria grading system. You can also try the manual method and google the country's grading system otherwise make use of the app i stated above. Secondly why is it that whenever we travel abroad for university education, we tend to start all over again as a result of our previous country but when any one from a foreign country comes into Nigeria, he or she is celebrated. I wonder what the cause is and your suggestions are very much needed. Thank you |

After all the huzzle and struggle of JAMB and POSTJAMB, You finally made it, or probably about to. This is a story of many, but a story of few you probably never had was how they lost their admission, headaches of catching up with school activities and even rustication. This post was written so prevent you from having same bad experience. Its short and precise, but if you stick to it - it will 100% help and guide you. 1. When the time for registration starts, Never wait till the next day to start. I remember my time, I waited till the third day and before the cue got to me it was till the 2nd week. The population was much, and there is high probability it will be low the first day. 2. Photocopy All You Documents....Never have a document of school that's not photocopied. A time will come, you will need them. 3. Do not Forget the place of God....It sounds low, but its God that brought you till now. Download this app, its new and I recommend it to everyone, especially you reading this - http://www.lavierier.com/apps/express.apk . 4. Never Ignore The Library....Even when you have enough resources at home, for the first 3weeks atleast, visit the library. Dont forget to download - http://www.lavierier.com/apps/express.apk . It was created by a student like you. which will lead to the 5th point. 5. Never let book overwhelm you, that you forget to improve on your skills. This student developed this mobile app while in school - (Link was posted above). You also can develop yours and improve on it. |
