Ichidodo, this has passed joking matter ooo! It's time you guys divest yourself and look at this issue in your best interests. This thing may not be viewed by the Lagos Yoruba lightly, as you're mistaken it. In the event of clash of interests, their brothers in the whole SW will be behind them. I tell you again – it's not in the interest of the Igbo to be SEEN working against the interest of the indigenes – to the extent that a King should lightly remind you of your positions. Remember, all these uncalled tensions in SA was started by a King who thought his people are being taken for granted.
Tis never the interest of the igbos to be intimidated and cajoled into giving up their rights especially in a one nation state Nigeria, remember they have been through hell and back to get where they at unlike the SW....What happened in SA can only happen here if the yorubas take it upon themselves to declare an Odua Republic then it can be seen that the igbos are foreigners to be kicked out but as long as the Constituition remains a valid document to both parties and there are yorubas earning their livelihood in the east then the Status quo still remains as far as Lagos being a no man's land is concerned..

Nigga pls! Which piper do you pay? Is it your petty trading, or your fake spare parts and pirated cd businesses or Okrika business that the Lagos gov't is depending on? Heck, we have our own big businesses, industries that employ thousands and contribute more to Lagos GDP than your petty trading. How many Yorubas do your petty trading at Alaba and Okrika bizness employ? Don't flatter yourself and GTFOH.
We are not talking about petty trading here nor fake cds but we are expositing on the vast economic opportunities Lagos nay Nigeria has to offer which the igbos -like hardworkin soldier ants- have harnessed to their benefits...the ports, the population, the stable economy and its number one status in Africa, their foreign contacts via their globetrotting activities. Now we have an International Airport, river ports and other commercial enabling infrastructures underway...Tis just keeps getting better and better. How can the Informal/Formal economy of an African giant be dominated by one tribe on petty trading and pirate cds?? We understand your pain and envy...

You are playing a dangerous game here. Land issues are emotionally explosive issues. If the Yorubas feel threatened by the increased migration of Igbos to Yoruba land, they mights use the same government machinery to destroythe economic leverage and even start reducing the igbo population by deporting them back to their states.
Tis a dangerous game they stand to lose more as tryin to shift or change the demographics in that no man's land of over 17 million, generating billions for state and federal coffers would not only bankrupt the lazy government officials and locals but also would take massive controversial legislation never before seen that will break up the nation (thus giving the igbos a chance of self determinating Biafra)and now we are back to bankrupting Lagos government and Lazy yeribas...In all ways you look at it,tis a win-win situation

Lol. Bro, you can speak igbo in your various homes, enclaves, and to your customers for all I care (that happens everywhere in the world anyway), but as you rightly acknowledged it is what obtains in government circles and who controls the machinery of government that counts. You are always welcome in our midst, as are other ethnic groups, just that I don't get why you all have to be meddlesome and can't just stick to your trading business rather than stirring up trouble wherever you find yourselves. As if you are the only non-indigenes in Lagos.
Machinery of government is pretty much useless without economic leverage to back it up....we just want to rub it in whenever the opportunity presents itself as it just did....Tis like old saying who pays the piper dictates the tune and we are saying Lagos is no man's land, deal with it..

Lagos is no man's land regardless if the language amongst government circle is yeriba as long as igbo is the major language spoken in economic hubs of Apapa port,Tin can Island,Alaba,Seme etc then we are good with our no man's land...No use holding on to state power to benefit a few yeribas than gobbling up massive economic opportunities to empower and service a large number of people far away from their homeland ahead of those who claim 'Lagos is yeriba land'.This leverage is an open indicator that Lagos is no man's land.

the Kogi state he has his biggest cement factory, what value does it add to the state? ..Is the state better than any state in the SE/SS?
The irony is Dangote makes much of his profit via his distribution chain which isn't exclusive to his company but is deregulated to independent marketers......are you pondering what we are pondering?? Independent marketers....What tribe is massively invested in trading and businness?? Igbos...thus a wealthy Dangote means a healthy, wealthy marketing chain dominated by igbos especially in viable economic hubs of Southern Nigeria..It keeps getting better and better for the igbos.

Are you kidding me? Dangote that produces cement, flour, sugar, salt etc will be competing with Ibeto and Innoson?cheesy What will be the basis of their competition?
Which hole did you craw out from?grin
To start with, Ogun state alone is more industrialized than the whole SE combine, so I don't get your point.

Where did you study your own economics or business? Big businesses do not stay away from markets where there are only small or marginal players. If they do it is often because it is not profitable for them or there are too much risks due to instability.
There is no business in iboland strong enough to intimidate Dangote.
You must really be dazed and stunned as observed with your multiple comments on our one singular comment..Haaahaa. But here is your answer

Jealous of what? That I can't steal cars or sell containers of half kerosene, half water? And then tell everyone how I'm such a good businessman?
When we look at it closely,we say you not only jealous but fearful.....of a people that actually set their hearts on objectives and achieve them.......Of people that thrive in areas or sectors never before trodden upon, where even angels dare thread. The scariest part is that they seem to be everywhere, irrespective of the economic trends in any part of the world or country, thriving and multiplying.....Haahaahaa, And you want Dangote to compete with that?? Tis better he goes where there is docility, south african type laziness plus massive unemployement to exploit and pay peanut for...That's pure business acumen.
