I think its $300 daily for withdrawals and $1000 monthly for online spending. $300 daily is not really enforced when shopping but $1000 is.

Who knows the new daily and monthly limit on gtb? Did 500usd now and it allowed. Tried another and was declined
$1000 per month.

the second payment you tried will make you exceed your monthly limit. try reducing it.

Wow,if GTB is 200naira then that's great news. I guess they are getting the $$ from CBN
why are they charging N199-N208 now?

why not the N220-N225 it was before the katakata burst?

if it was N225 I would have jumped in since.

can't remember anytime any bank charged this low.

why now of all times?
BusinessRe: CBN Targets N200/$ Parallel Market Rate by EnterPRO: 9:18pm On Feb 26, 2016

lolz. a simple press release from CBN informing us they have told banks not to charge black market rates is all we need.

probably won't come till Monday though, if ever.

I for like exhaust February monthly limit first though.

Don't know why but I never had business with them and Konga (yes same owner) grin they looked dubious to me tongue
same owner or same angel investor(s) ?

having a sister company should give them a longer lease of life though.

if they were sisters, they should be able to share vital resources, eg delivery services (like Kaymu and Jumia do) but that is not the case.

having the same investors though, could explain why both had to go lean very agilely fairly recently. maybe the foreign investors are (gradually) pulling out.

jumia seems fortunate enough to have secured double the amount of funding Konga got, and from a different source.

SA companies are generally about market dominance anyways.

BusinessRe: How I Made Over N1 Million Naira Monthly Sales On Dealdey by EnterPRO: 6:50pm On Feb 24, 2016
DealFinder:
It's in the news today that certain sectors of the economy still recorded increased sales, despite the rising prices occasioned by the falling value of the naira.

Yes its very sustainable, it just means that you the merchant will have to work harder in sourcing your products, find ways to reduce cost, and handle your business more efficiently so that your selling price will still be competitive. Don't forget that the dollar affects every other merchant.
thanks for the reassurance.

its very comforting to know that people will continue to buy things online, even if/when prices eventually double.

can't see the prices on the Jumia pictures, but you might want to consider the fact that some Jumia merchants are currently complaining about slow updates to prices on their storefronts.

Yea, it's possible. As long as you know how to source your products, and deliver when orders are placed. However, having the assistance of someone on ground would reduce the stress of commuting inter-state.
hello op,

do you think this model will still be sustainable at N400-N500 per dollar? or N1000 soon sef.

I foresee a lot of online shops closing down. do you share the same thoughts?

just a suggestion bro. price is not fixed.

you must understand not all customers are loyal and most will jump ship at N5 difference.

if you really need it urgently you can start at N305 since others are buying N300 presently.
BusinessRe: Exchange Your Paypal Funds Here by EnterPRO: 10:02am On Feb 23, 2016
just offer to buy at N350 and see the flood you will get.
