ChybuzzDD: Do not ever quote me again if I did not have any direct conversation with you, make your suggestions and move on and don’t come here with your disrespect! Which is “rest please”? You were not brought up well? Make your suggestions and move on, I clearly said the man should not have brought his personal problems here so that we will not give him advice with sentiments and you are directing your words at me, you don’t know the person that has the issue? Please be guided! 1 Like |

deejay102: No! The “OP” is asking for advice because he got himself into that situation and he is looking for the best way out. We do not have the best advice for him Sir, truth is, he already knows what to do but needs a second opinion so he doesn’t look like a bad guy, and we are not in the best position to give him that advice, some advice here is too one sided, sexist and harsh! I don’t advise on the matters of the heart, because you will still do what’s on your mind to do. The only advice I gave was that out of desperation to be with him, the lady shouldn’t go for visit visa instead she should put the money into good use, and the only way she can stop pressuring him is if he communicates with actions and efforts effectively to her to calm her heart. She is not pressuring him or nagging him, she just thinks he is making the wrong decisions that will take too long for them to be together, which is why he needs to let her understand the process and benefits... if she persist which is possible, well he knows her better than us!! 1 Like |

deejay102: How do you know she has influence on him? Are you in their relationship? Have you heard her own side? What if this Bros is actually the one with the influence? Because why would I even agree to be engaged to a guy who is not ready to take me to the altar because he doesn’t to change his marital status yet instead he would rather leave me here to wait with just words and promises? That takes a lot of influence on me? So I’ll keep pressuring him to do the right thing. If you do not want to be pressured do not put yourself in that situation to be pressured. This is different if he was relocating from Abuja to Lagos...what are you saying she dey pressure Haba! There are things you are yet to understand about life, and from the way you sound, it’s like women can easily influence you that is why you were so quick to detect that the lady was influencing him rather than she was just being worried! And yes, I wish I knew who the lady was, I’d tell her to take herself out, go shopping, eat, if possible book a spa day and relax... because this one her man is already seeking advice from total strangers like you, the matter has change hands. 1 Like |

Kuniennam: The worst thing you can do to yourself is bring sensitive matters like this to the public for opinions, you will make yourself a dumping ground for different opinions which will leave you even more confused and in serious doubts all because of a lady who may be genuinely in love with you but only afraid of what distance would do to you both. The worse thing you can do to a woman is openly engage her and make her lord of the rings... yes you are going to find a better life for you both but let me tell you what is going on in her head: ..what if he finds someone better than me and decides that I’m a burden, what if he forgets me because of the good life he will start to experience there?? My brother these are valid fears borne out of maybe experience and also bad advice from friends and family... The only thing you should do is first of all STOP asking for people’s opinion on the issue, take charge of your affairs... assure your woman, she is not a red flag please, she is the woman you saw and decided to spend the rest of your life with, leave all the people here, they are looking for visa, call your woman and tell her why you choose her asides all the women in this world and assure her not just with words, but efforts, you can start by telling her to pick a wedding date, color, venue, etc while you both pray about it (sorry to be religious, but pray). No woman is a red flag, no man is a red flag, we just have our genuine fears and those fears if not handled properly may lead to desperate decisions. Handle your affairs privately. If she’s not the one for you, only you can know that, not us! P.s please tell her not to do visitor visa, instead use that money and go shopping and buy something nice for herself, eat, sleep and relax. 8 Likes |

I think in my own opinion, do the right thing first before involving the mercies of God (for the believers). If you speak to the universe about what you want, it will always bring it to you. It is not right to say an armed robber kneels and prays to God before carrying out an operation and then shoots and kills his victim and returns home with wards of cash just to kneel down and pray thanksgiving prayers to God for the success of the robbery, is it God that answered his prayers? That’s contradicting the mercies of God, and using God as an object or excuse for bad behavior. Let’s not categorize God like that, He is much greater than what we fathom Him to be. He has given us a lot of things to use at our own advantage, how we use these things matter. You can’t apply for visa with false documents and then pray to God to get approval, rather you can put the right documents in place, get a good ties to show your return, put a convincing information about yourself in your application rather than deceive and lie on your documents and then pray for the mercies of God (as a believer). Truth be told it is only the rich that can travel abroad, because the VO will be wondering why you have 15million naira in your account and want to use all that for just a visit to Canada, why not invest it in your country or better still migrate. We are allowed to be religious, but for God’s sake, using God to cover up wrong doings is bad. If you have managed to get visa approval from using false documents that is because you were convincing enough! What happens after that is entirely between you and God. Be wise! |

orjohn24: You have not been anyone’s keeper, your actions and words are too far from being a keeper, and please rephrase your words “your fraudulent” and use “people’s fraudulent” because it feels directed at me. I have never encouraged anyone to use fraud but only encouraged people here who have genuine travel reasons to keep the faith. Do not quote me wrongly again!!! 3 Likes |

orjohn24: What is your solution Mr? That Canada should stop giving visas? I am not encouraging anyone here to falsify documents, after all you will be caught... I am just irritated by the fact that you in particular always have this pompous assumption that Nigerians should be denied visa, not bearing in mind that others may have genuine travel reasons.... Everything in this world has everything to do with God, it’s just that we are too religious (jail us for that) allow people to hold on to their beliefs and don’t dismiss it totally... You are either always pained (and I totally understand you because most Nigerians are always spoiling things for others) or you are a plain brutally honest person which is ok too, because we also need some brutal honesty in our lives to keep us in check. But dial it down with your pompous “I know too much” mentality... you know nothing, I know nothing, we know nothing... A lot of Nigerians are not coming back, don’t you know why? How many Nigerians have good stable jobs, assets and can demonstrate wealth enough to stay back in this country.... Now for the sake of not being replied by you in particular again let me rephrase “I pray (yes to God) that everyone with genuine travel reasons who have applied for visa will have their visas approved! For everyone here applying for visa, do not go there and make it hard for the next person, apply with the right documents, have a good reason to travel, I know you do, and when you get to your travel destination, do not give people like @orjohn reasons to come here and be discouraging others from traveling. God (yes the one that everything has to do with Him) bless us all! 8 Likes |

uchennay: Hmmm Let me say something about this.... Do you think Canadian government does not know that these people who claim asylum majority of the claims are lies? But will they deny your claim just because “majority of the stories are lies” The answer is no, this is because your claim could as well be true, and you have given them enough information to support your claim and they must help you out, but be rest assured that they are watching you.... there is a story of a guy who claimed asylum that he was gay, and 5years later he was deported back home because he decided to get married, this means that his country is now safe for him to return as he is now taking a wife and is no longer gay! Now remember he was probably a first time or frequent traveler and his visa was approved.. Very much so, same goes to people who use false documents to gain entrance into Canada, who are also frequent or first time travelers, you think they are not aware that people do that? But would they refuse visas based on that? Answer is still no!!! Because they were able to convince the VO that they will return to their home country. No one knows and no one should assume they know how the visa approval or refusal decision is made, besides do you think that a rich guy would apply for visa and start proving to the consular with plenty documents that he will return to his country? He will give him what documents he has, if they give him fine if not he’ll go to another country, no one with plenty assets, ties and busy schedule has the time to be convincing visa officer up and down! My father in law was questioned by German border officer why he is visiting Germany, he stood up from their office and asked them to show him the next flight to Nigeria that they are asking him too many questions and he has lost interest in their country, the German border police had to drive him to his hotel, made sure he checked in safely and apologized for the inconveniences. We do not know more than the country we are visiting, so either you encourage people or you just read the threads, drink water and sleep. Once again May all the visa on this platform be approved. 7 Likes |

So when everyone has gotten their travel history, build a good profile, travel to Canada and not return, what will happen next?!!! I will still say it again, there are so many people with good profiles, I.e businesses, strong ties, enough money in their account and their first country of visit is Canada... The people that have a travel history were ones first time travelers! JUST CONVINCE THE VISA OFFICER YOU WILL RETURN TO YOUR HOME COUNTRY! I pray that everyone here who wishes to travel out of this country whether you return or not, will have their visa approved! One day Nigeria will be great and our country, our people and passport won’t have to be red flagged! 5 Likes |

orjohn24: Ok. If you say so! I was only trying to ease the aggressiveness of response, I am not a VO and so I do not know what’s happening at their end, I only aired my views based on experience, and mind you there are people with millions in their account who’s first choice of travel May be Canada. I also see reasons with @enny421... But there was no need to be blatantly discourteous @orjohn24 . C’mon we are all adults and just offering our 2cents. May God help us all. 4 Likes |

orjohn24: I beg to differ, what was the person’s reason for refusal? It will be along the line of he/she did not submit a document requested by the ircc after a slated period of time, or there is a misrepresentation in any of the document! Timeline plays a major role in hopefulness if you are sure beyond reasonable doubts that you have been able to convince the visa officer that you will return to your country after your visit.... 1 Like |

Good afternoon Everyone! From experience, I have come to realize that the visit visa refusal comes within a week or less than a month after biometrics, and if you have not received any decision within this period you may likely be approved and also if there were any red flags in your application, it should have been seen at the time you submitted your application and you will be refused so that you can go back and correct that red flag and send in a proper application. Please in my opinion visa application is the most daunting experience and very few people can withstand the pressure that comes with the wait, this platform should be educative, calming and supportive as possible in my opinion. Timeline: Family Application submission: Nov16 Biometrics (husband only): Nov24th Biometrics updated: Nov24th Processing still ongoing.... (I applied in 2019 when I was single and was refused hence no biometrics for me) Hope this gives someone a little bit of hope! 2 Likes |
