Having been a silent reader on this thread since inception, gone through the tupsy turvy ride on hopes, beliefs, faith, prayers et al. Gotta say this is getting pretry much ludicrous. Probably would(if ever concluded) be the most painstaking recruitment ever. Got some info sometime late last year, not necessarily about when the recruitment ends but about the circumstances to which the exercise still lingers. They may probably be hearsays hence i write them in rhetorics:

Did you know that the No1 citizen of the country has a daughter in this organisation?. Rumor has it she was moved due to the insecurity in the south south.
Did you know that contract staff in the organisation that ought to have been converted are still pending?
Did you know that the organisation are so dire in need of staff that they reduced the no of those called for medicals to a particular discipline only to be halted by the 'power that be'?
Did you know that the organisation may just have been ridden with Nepotism and palpable bureacracy?
Did you know that those in waiting(by merit) for recruitment may not necessarily be those that will be eventually recruited?

Well, these were some of the open-ended questions that are begging for answers.

At the end, what will be will be.

Shalom
We have been peaceful for long in Niger Delta.

NLNG una see una life? Now I'm being offered an opportunity to attend a prestigious and world renowned institution (as far as my field is concerned) and I'm still dreaming of NLNG and waiting on them to tell me my fate. If I knew for sure, I would pass on this opportunity. But since I don't, obviously I can't not pursue this with all diligence in case I don't make it. I know the verdict is almost out according to the oracles but I don't think it will be out in time for me to make my decision simple and straightforward. By anything a week into June I imagine I won't be able to back out of this opportunity without implications which I would really like to avoid. The same June we're waiting for (unless NLNG calls very early June or even earlier). So you see the "move on with your life and answer whenever NLNG calls" advice won't work so well here. Some would say this is a good kind of dilemma to be in. But it is still a dilemma.

NLNG #makawhy?
Good stuff.

When life presents you with an opportunity, you can do three things.
1. The right thing
2. The wrong thing
3. Nothing

Of these three options, the worst is to DO NOTHING.

I was in such a situation when I won a scholarship for Masters Degree abroad and we were still waiting for an assessment centre date. I accepted the scholarship, bought a return ticket to Nigeria for the AC when it was time, now I'm back with a Masters Degree still waiting for the final AC feedback.

In my opinion, even if you travel for your studies and receive an invite for medicals or appointment , you may either ask the company to defer your appointment till you graduate or you defer your study at that point.

Any way, something gets deferred but nothing gets rejected.

Please friend, dont allow this oppotunity to pass by without grasping it. If this oppotunity is about further study and you are eventually invited by NLNG you can liase with the NLNG Management to allow you complete your studies before resuming. I know someone who was in this kind of situation but was given the opportunity to resume after his studies.

I wish you all the best.
Nice one.

I can only pray and hope Q2 2016 is for real.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by epic5: 9:47am On Mar 21, 2016
I think it is clear and easy though.
In the year of our Lord 1960 Nigeria gained her independence. 1960-2 implies our long awaited independence will be achieved in Q2.
Badema:
Oga Forkadict happy weekend oo
Wow so much permutations to that! Where are the gurus? Come help with this 1960-2 oo
60-2=58
69-2=67
96-2=94
61-2=59
91-2=89
19-2=17
90-2=88
196-2=194

Therefore (300,120,60) - (1960-2) = NLNG2016 recruitment

I no think say this one na maths oo!

ladyF:
hehehe NNPC's own is understandable. It's a government institution, especially with the change of government. Was it not customs recruitment that they sacked the new recruits after May 29? But this NLNG's own.... No excuse na. Haba!!! angry

Anyway sha, has anyone tried to reason out the odds of getting a success mail if they're taking only 60 people? Each time I think about it, I just cringe and lose hope. 60 people out of 600 is like 10%.

So out of 20 people on your day of the AC, only 2 will get in. Approx. 540 regret mails will be sent out. Many groups in the group discussion won't even have any member make it to medicals...I've been "following" and "unfollowing" this thread like God knows what. I'm not trying to be a pessimistic someborry but ponder on this. grin grin grin

One very absurd and difficult prayer point of mine has always been if NLNG is not in God's plan for my life, let me NOT get it. Last last, I will wail and move on eventually.

Chai I don launch new page again sha!!! This LadyF is too much grin grin grin
Well, I am neither overly optimistic nor being overly self confident when I say that even if NLNG will recruit one person in this process. That one person will be me. I so much believe in me and my God. I dunno about others.
