At this stage, everything is possible.
For Monday to give birth to the long awaited list, there must be a Press release on Friday to that effect in Daily Trust or The Nations newspapers or via the Facebook handle of NSCDC. Without a Press release this Friday, nothing will happen on Monday, 10th January.

My wedding is slated for December ending. I had planned on what I would do with the 120k but unfortunately FG disappoints me. However, I am happy because God did not disappoint me.

This money not free money, it is my sweat because I worked tirelessly for it. I prepared lesson notes weekly, teach students daily, mark notes, test and exams, supervised tests and exams, update school records regularly and prepare students' statement of results. I am consistent, committed, punctual and regular. I also do other works assigned to me by my Vice Principal.

I have sacrificed so much for Npower as a patriotic citizen of Nigeria and a committed teacher. Before I started Npower, I resigned my two part-time jobs so that I can concentrate. But at the end of every month, NASIMS decided to be giving me excuses instead of salaries. Monthly excuses instead of monthly stipends.

Now, I want to ask if Federal Minister Of Disaster, Sadiya and her staff have not been paid their salaries for the last three or four months? Those who are working at NNPC, FIRS, Aso Rock, and CBN, do they also pass through what the ministry made us to pass through? Finally, my last question, is it a crime to be a Nigerian and not have long leg?

What the youths of this country are passing through is very terrible and pathetic. So many are underpaid in their jobs, left for npower, all to be disappointed at the end. This is wickedness, nothing but wickedness. All shall be well sha!

We will survive with or without Npower. Npower is supposed to be an empowerment program for the unemployed youths and the " underemployed" ones. I as an Npower beneficiary is not unemployed but I would say I am underemployed as what I earn monthly can't comfortably foot all my bills even though I leave a very modest lifestyle and this is not to talk about savings. So when the government came up with Npower I saw it as another avenue to get a few extra bucks that I can plan with. Now did that mean putting in extra work and time so as to do the job assigned to me by the government? Yes, It certainly did. Did I get "empowered" even in the slightest of ways? No, hell no. Not when from the few and scarce resources at my disposal, I had to transport myself to my PPA 3 times a week with the hope that sooner rather than later there will be respite in terms of payment of my stipends. Did that respite come? No, what l get is a deafening silence from those in charge of the scheme. It is my right and entitlement that I am being deprived of. Everyone out there who has worked under this scheme and is being owed by this scheme has every right to demand for their stipends. We did not beg rather we worked. On the contrary, the technical school I was posted to where the one's begging I and my colleagues to be on ground to teach the students chemistry because the only chemistry teacher the school had was on maternity leave.I have to give credit to my colleagues- 2 other young men who out of their tight schedule ensured that the absence of the chemistry teacher wasn't felt even though by sixth week the students had done nothing last term. If the government doesn't do the needful then it isn't out of place to refer to the scheme as a use and dump program set up by the government to help fulfill it's propagandist agenda. Whether the government is sincere in their intentions or not,I shall survive with or without Npower.
