I thank God for members of the CEC. They are the best. Men of integrity who will tell you to your face when you are wrong. I have had the opportunity of relatiing closely with some of them. Pastor Chris is blessed to have them. No wonder he has been able to weather all storms all these years and the impact continues. The glory is increasing continually.

That may be so, but God created the heavens and the earth, and we know all the heavens, like the earth's moon and mars and other planets are without form and void, and so the understanding is that God created the heavens and the earth, all of them being without form and void, and then He went on to create grass, trees etc. on the earth to make it habitable for humans and animals etc. which He was going to create to inhabit the earth.

The bible account in Genesis is actually a RECREATION of the world which had become "without form (formless) and void (empty)". God did not create the world without form and void. He created it to be inhabited (Isaiah 45:18).

Between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 is a very long period of time... Perhaps millions of years.

I don't think they have the image of God. The fact that man was made in the image of God is the reason why redemption for man(after the fall) was something that must happen. If angels were made in the image of God, God would have also been interested in their redemption after their fall.

The couple’s divorce was finalized on February 8, this year but it was after much legal drama and fireworks in the English court. The major contentions were the sharing of their mutual property as well Pastor Anita’s right to speak freely about life with her former husband, which he had challenged, wanting the court to bar her from disclosing details of the divorce and their life together. He was however willing to consider a sufficient compensation to her, if she agreed not to speak about the matter .
On the matter of compensation, we gathered that Pastor Chris declared a total sum of 120,000 USD and a house in Johannesburg, South Africa and that he was only the spiritual head of the Christ Embassy Church, not its administrative or legal head, and so its funds were communal and not personal to him. Our source, who described the claim by Pastor Chris as a blatant lie, revealed that this was particularly distressing to Anita as she had invested the better part of her life, including finances in the
Christ Embassy Church. “She was particularly saddened by this claim, and had to go on vacation to Switzerland, her mother’s country, because of the stress,” he said.
That incident happened in October last year, shortly after which Pastor Chris donated the whooping sum of N1 billion to the Benson Idahosa University.
The court held in favour of Pastor Chris that the funds of the church were indeed communal and so would not be a factor in the divorce, to his great delight and the coterie of aides, hangers-on and senior pastors who accompanied him to the High Court of Justice Principal Registry of the Family Division in October 2015. So much so that it was learnt they threw a party at the Christ Embassy, Bermondsey branch to celebrate ‘the victory.’
The court however did not bar Pastor Anita from disclosing any detail of the divorce or life with her ex-husband, and we have learned reliably that she is getting prepared to write a tell-all about the misery she suffered at the hands of the so-called man of God.
What broke the camel’s back
Talking about misery, our source disclosed that the woman had a difficult and sexless marriage for much of the time they were together but bore the pains because she believed it was the necessary sacrifice for the success of their ministry. She was transferred to UK to start off the international arm of the ministry in the late 90s, when the church had a programme there and Pastor Chris asked her to stay back and kick-start the international arm of the ministry. At that point, our source said, Pastor Chris’ word was life and death to her and she considered him next to God. So in spite of family and friends who cautioned against taking up the offer and that it was not ideal leaving her relatively young marriage for an oversea country, even for the cause of the gospel, she packed her bags in obedience to her ‘man of God.’ She took their two children Charlene and Sharon along with her.
In no time, her hard-work had paid off and the international arm of the ministry was booming, with numerous churches started in the UK and mainland Europe. But this success might have invariably cost her marriage, for while she was away from Nigeria, a few women had allegedly grown close to her husband and were living in the same housing complex known as ‘White House’ as he. ‘White House’ is an exclusive multi story building at the Church’s Oregun-Lagos branch where Pastor Chris stays whenever he is in Lagos. It has several luxury apartments, a swimming pool, and open only to Pastor Chris, and his closest aides, who incidentally are beautiful but unmarried top female pastors.

So relatives were standing by hoping to get their share of church money. no wonder they pushed their daughter to seek divorce from a london court.

Actually the man doesnt even get a salary from church, he is totally sold out to the work of the Lord, living by the faith that he preaches. . .so e try. . I heard Pastor Chris say, "I buy my own copy of ROR". One time, I heard Bishop Oyedepo say that he has never received money from the sale of any book since his ministry began. I believe its the same for Adeboye since he sort of fathered Oyedepo. These men have made their lives and ministries an alter for God's presence and power. No man can successfully stop them or bring them down.
No wonder (I thought) millions around the world receive miracles and are blessed, protected,  delivered, and prospered by simply connecting to these men.
No wonder, God is committed to Oyakhilome, scattering the enemies that rise against him no matter their size or stature.
No wonder it appears the nations have been given to him. ROR is being distributed in over a hundred and sixty countries in 148 languages of the world.

No wonder Satan is mad. These are the last days and just like we see liars and  false teachers like the OP, we will also see the glory and power of God in His church like never before.

He has never had an event like this in his entire career. For him and everyone who defied the late afternoon rain to be at Lagos Sheraton Hotel and Towers, it was indeed a day the Lord had blessed for everyone to be glad and rejoice in.

For some insiders who knew about the seeming insurmountable challenges up till the last 24 hours leading to the show, that it held and recorded a huge success was another credible evidence of the unmistakable hand of God in the affairs of reggae/gospel musician, teacher and social crusader, Buchi Atuonwu, simply known by his first name across the world.

Buchi successfully gathered the cream of Nigeria’s reggae community at the launch of his fifth album entitled, ‘Judah’ with Orits Wiliki, Ras Kimono, Righteousman and other leading reggae acts in attendance. Righteousman produced the title track on the 12-cut album.
True his tradition, Buchi continues a listing of the number of his published songs. For instance, the new album, ‘Judah’ contains songs number 33 to 44. This practice, according to him, is a response to a friend who swore at the beginning of his career, 11 years ago, that he would not be able to write more than a few songs before fizzling out.

‘Judah’ like most songs on the album is inspired by the sermons of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy where Buchi is a deacon. The words of the sermon hit Buchi’s consciousness as prophetic songs. And the words became songs. The title track is an exhortation to everyone who has surrendered to Jesus Christ to know their place that they can receive the grace to prosper and rule as a king/queen: a Judah, who has the crown on his head and scepter in his hand. On this track, Righteousman is witty and quick with the coordination and sequencing of instrumentation. While the song maintains a steady pace, it does not dwell for too long neither does it repeat a particular bloc of instrumentation. Indeed, ‘Judah’ is a happy and inspirational song to fire and maintain ambition for excellence.

Amos McRoy returns to the production circuit with his production of the opening track, ‘Number One’. But most of the production credits on the album go to Papa Sinclair. And also working with Buchi on a few tracks is Iyke Onka. Equally delivering the tracks along with Buchi are Omo Richards on ‘Brand New Man’, Chioma and Tosin on ‘Here I Lay’, Push with whom he collaborated on his last album returns to work with him again on ‘Created to Praise’. Of course, Papa English, Buchi’s alter ego, is sounding powerfully behind him on ‘We Lift Your Name.’

However, a head full of dreadlocks were not the only ones to be counted among the guests. Nollywood stars, Zack Orji, Fred Amata and Kate Henshaw-Nutal were in the house also to celebrate with Buchi and add their voices to his quest for a saner society by showing more concern for vulnerable children. Orji gave a very stimulating talk to the children pointing them to the way of righteousness that will lead to attainment of their God-ordained purpose in life.

The event was also a platform to demonstrate Buchi’s altruistic concerns for society. A documentary of his Ceasefire Project, which aims to dissuade young Nigerians from cultism and violence; a subject that Buchi has written a book entitled, ‘Ceasefire’ on.

But more of the milk of human kindness was poured on the children of the Inner City Mission, an outreach of the Christ Embassy Church, and the Stephen Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State. With the First Lady of Rivers State, Mrs. Amaechi giving a touching speech laced with sessions of singing and prayers for Buchi, the children, her home state and Nigeria. She was in the company of the former First Lady of Cross River State, Mrs. Onari Duke and Udy Umondak, former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State. The Imo State Commissioner for Finance announced a donation of his entire salary to these causes till he leaves office. Money raised at the launch and from sale of the album would also be poured into meeting the needs of the children at Inner City and Stephen Centre; and Buchi’s Ceasefire Project.

When Buchi’s 12-man back-up instrumentalists and vocalists - the Bigtoonz Band - struck the note for his popular song, ‘Mma Mma’, it was an invitation for everyone to dance. Buchi went for his wife, Jane and brought her on stage. They danced for a while before he infected other valued guests with his happy mood.
