They are not the same. It's like saying your neighbour reported a case at the police station, accusing you of stealing his black shoe. If the police invite you to their station to give a statement stating your own side of the story, in which you explained that your uncle bought you a shoe exactly like that of your neighbor and you show them the receipt as proof..........That's CLARIFY.

Imagine if the police just arrest and charge you to court without even inviting you to respond to the allegation made by your neighbour....that's TRIAL.

Removing the hard disk is a longer process, especially with laptops that would require one to literally tear down everything to get to the hard disk.

What if an external HDD enclosure is not at your disposal? What if no other computer is available?

My post describes a more efficient method, in an emergency.

The issue here is possibly anything. One poster said you should try a process of elimination as that would guarantee you a fix. I agree with that poster.
System hanging, likely problems:
Low RAM
Failing RAM
Overheating processor
Underpowered processor
Faulty motherboard
Failing hard drive
Outdated system drivers
Low video memory(only applies when doing specific tasks).

Test for all these and you'd find your answer. If you can't do it yourself book an appointment with a technician.
