How has Nairaland transformed your life?
Nairaland is my home for information, entertainment and education. Surely,I am more current than my pairs courtesy Nairaland. It has brought out the best of Nigeria in me. I made a post that Seun Osewa deserves National Award for creating such a Forum that has helped Nigerians bring out the Nigerian content in them, helping the jobless find jobs, creating business opportunities, educating people, helping the less privileged find treatment from philantropists and donors,...I can go on and on..
Nairaland is so unique it can't be swept under the carpet!

I am still nursing the hurt of our exit, imagine there was no electricity from PHCN/DISCOs,had to go unimaginable lengths to get fuel at very high price (black market) just to watch the Super Eagles, then I see how most of our boys were playing without flair eg Ahmed Musa,Mikel etc
Only Victor Moses was charging and hungry.
It's obvious Nigeria needs to really seek forgiveness from God!
We have resources (material and human) but our case is something else..

Some points raised above are noted. The fact still remains that apart from being ingenious,Nairaland has added value to numerous lives in Nigeria.
Alh. Aliko Dangote and some of these people below are all into their various business yet got awards -

Like I said,no hate. Ingenuity, hardwork and dedication should be acknowledged. I raised this post because our leaders encourage people to not think (case of CBN beneficiaries who should have been employers of labour). Those who rose above the tide should be acknowledged and encouraged.
No one can count all the good Nairaland has done,is there?
Nairaland / General / Opinion: Seun Osewa Deserving Of Nigerian National Honours Award by ercel: 10:56pm On Mar 20, 2016
The recent revelation that the Central Bank of Nigeria employed children, wards and cronies of some influential Nigerians made me revisit this idea.
It's sad that those children lacked the brain to see brighter opportunities around them. Most of who have attended good universities and had the priviledge of travelling round the world but failed to see that great markets exist in Nigeria, Africa and the world. They failed to see that they could take advantage of their parents' wealth and connections to establish businesses that'll see them becoming employers of millions of people worldover. Rather they chose to join CBN where salaries and remunerations are robust and where they can engage in the much talked about "dirty in-house forex deals".
I couldn't but see them as blockheads who couldn't see the world despite haven travelled far and wide. They are pitiful for taking away jobs that other Nigerians should have gone for and that's what greed is!
Why couldn't they create impactful ventures the way Seun Osewa of Nairaland did. In its years of existence,Nairaland has seen people all over the world affected positively. Through Nairaland people get educated and enlightened everyday, businesses take place, people find jobs,Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike engage in political debates that have seen humans unite,so many have gotten free medical treatments from those they never met and may never meet for the rest of their lives, counsel on admissions, marriage and health have been given without charging any fees,in fact, some met their partners (marriage and business) on this same forum, and so many other achievements that time and space won't allow us mention here.
Now,isn't the founder of this forum worth National Honours Award? I am not patronising and do not expect moderators to either ban me or hide my post, but I am strongly positive that Seun Osewa deserves honour, depriving him is like the annoying act of CBN who chose to deny other Nigerians jobs by employing those who ought to have been smart enough to create jobs and rule the world!
We must talk and write so that the appropriate quarters will hear us. Nigeria must get better and it starts with us. Thank God for SERAP's open letter to CBN.
Thank you.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: SERAP To CBN: Withdraw Corrupt Recruitments Or We’ll Sue by ercel: 10:07pm On Mar 20, 2016
Children of those who should create jobs are now taking the few available ones.
Their children are brainless, simple!
With existing markets and opportunities for business exploits in Nigeria,Africa and the world at large these spoilt little brats couldn't take advantage of available (stolen) cash and connections of their parents to own robust businesses and be bosses of millions of people around the world, all they want is juicy government job (where they can continue to steal oil money,CBN forex etc),nonesense blockheads!

He said they filled spaces for states that needed balancing at the CBN to satisfy federal character so I wonder must it be the children of those people mentioned?
Well, since people like Atiku Abubakar are richer than some states put together, they amount to "state".

Date of first issue on the License shown above is 2013 and in Plateau. Meanwhile it's said he drove a federal permanent secretary for 6-8 years, question now is was he driving the P.S without a driver's licence?

By merely looking at the sitting room of the slain it shows how the poor are easily killed/kill themselves to score points for the rich political class. I bet even Amaechi and Wike's dogs live in a better environment. RCA should ensure he does something worthwhile for that family,no be to give them 200k or at most 500k waka.

This guy just captured the bane of Nigeria's growth and development. We have to forge common interest and on a common ground. We can't continue doing things the old way and expect different results. Nigeria is not the only country in the world with multiple ethnic groups and religions, those with far more than us have embraced their differences and are progressing. This attitude of "my tribe,my religion,my people.." Will keep destroying us.
It can be clearly seen that PMB has the will to fight corruption, but how will he do it successfully with the likes of Bukola Saraki and some past corrupt leaders who are now close to him because they sponsored his campaign?
He (PMB) is also getting it wrong suspecting a certain region as potential saboteurs to his government since they didn't vote massively for him, without demonstrating forgiveness and promoting cohesion,he'll soon find himself further tearing Nigeria apart. PMB must demonstrate his statement that he belongs to no one and to everyone.
The first Nigerian leader to truly amalgamate Nigeria (unite the people) will go down history as Hero of the people!
