Now, you mention iPads. If anything, the fact that the iPad has USB-C, doesn't that sound to you like a company willing to compromise on the thing? iPad pros use a 3.1 gen 2 USB C standard, which is just fine but more importantly, it's because they can get away with it.

Apple is literally enjoying a monopoly in the tablet segment, so they can use USB C "like everyone else" if it would help sales.

But you're asking them to use USB on their most profitable and innovative iPhones just for convenience, which won't pay anyone in the next 5 years. Why? Probably USB C 3.1. Gen 3 type XYZ is out by then, and the people that buy would still complain if their current USB C cords doesn't work by then.

Android phones can change anyhow, because their market is bigger. Apple can't. It's just got 4 phone models every year, there's no room for fickle changes. Sales would drop and that's it. They go home.

Kai, my bro too much knowledge , but u fail to understand why people clamour for uniformity, it's not about raw specs only really, but even if it's by raw specs, USB C is still ultimately superior to micro b and lightning port, why you may ask, well it's because of physical constraints (you can Google it, I can't get into it) which plagues the latter both. USB C offers charging speed the other two can't, sure there are 3.1 micro b enabled speeds(goodluck finding the cords for those ports easily) but micro b is not great for modern fast charging, not as durable as USB C, and the reversible shape of USB C is the final nail in micro b's coffin.
Now you were saying that perhaps apple is waiting for improved USB C before implementing it? I would say you were wrong, it's simply about the money( you can also Google how much they rake in due to lightning port royalties so you can see why) beside it's like saying that because mobile camera technology or standards now for example is not good enough so apple should not upgrade to the best that is available now and they should wait so it gets better before they implement it. USB C is better than lightning port and apple should implement for uniformity and convenience for users. Also If apple were to implement USB C, they would use the cutting edge and latest version which would be fast and usable for the next 5 to 6 years which is the considerable usable lifespan of an iphone. what I'm really saying is the universal nature or uniformity of USB C is what apple should consider, think about it, for example if you had a car made by apple and because of that your fuel nozzle port on the car is different because it gives them more money meanwhile you are suffering in silence because it's apple and they know what's best.

Mi 10 s from the specs should be better than the s9plus but then again the phone is still new and costs above 600$ whilst the s9plus is less than 300$ so as u can see the price discrepancy gives the xiaomi the edge here.
If i were to suggest, if the op was factoring the mi 10s in his budget which is 600$ he should compare it with a similarly priced samsung like the s20 fe or s20 or even the entry level note 20 otherwise he should just go for the xiaomi.
I'm a samsung fan though, I'll just go for the samsung once the money passes 100k(give or take a few thousand) naira mark. But u see that below 100k, forget it, xiaomi owns that shit. I'll recommend and buy for my self xiaomi at that price point since they offer the most at that range.

but it doesn't matter, these two phones can be gotten brand new just within 50$ of each other and the features they offer might just tip the scale in the buying decisions of consumers, does the powerful bionic chip inside the iphone do it for you, go for the SE, do you want flagship camera and simple and clean software from a trusted brand at a really cheap price go for the pixel. There are other things to consider as well, like storage and battery, which i think the pixel has an upper hand, software wise , google can at least offer 3-4 years with extended security patches while the iPhone would be around 5 yrs or so if track record is anything to go by. So what my point is, is that this is a very fair comparison.

Alright then, everyone to their choices, my preferred theoretical core arrangements would be;

2 × cortex x1 at possibly 3.2ghz
3 × cortex a78 at possibly 2.75ghz
3 × cortex a78 at 2.2 ghz

Kind of similar to apples bionic structure but with a third lower clocked yet powerful tier.

Cortex x1 and a78 taking up 6 cores ! this will devastate your battery now. I feel like we don't need decacores on arm just yet (except those modified for laptops) this power is nearing diminishing return. It's only good for future proofing devices (if android device oems are willing to push updates that long)
Right now, most app utilizations on ios and android are on par and stuffing more power in the processor won't do much for either.
Refinement on other fronts should be the goal,
Like ddr5x or even ddr6 rams with speeds to match, this would make actual performance boost than just cpu, faster internal storage technology improvement would also complement the ram bump, this will translate to faster file retrieval between ram and storage.

Better battery technology too, they have been throwing around graphene battery technology around alot now. Its not about throwing in dual battery and 100watt power brick. That's a potential hazard. Graphene can radically increase charging speeds without extra gra gra.

I agree with you on this. The Asus ROG Phone 3 is the most powerful phone ever made. Not even just because of the fact that it uses the Snapdragon 865+,but because this is a smartphone that you can actually overclock like a gaming pc. No root,no custom kernels or roms. The cpu scheduler and governor is actually UNLOCKED! I would certainly pick the Asus over Lenovo's Legion Duel.

and it is even 3ghz already! Mobile chips are mind-blowing these days.

Snapdragon 865+ has overtaken bionic a13 as the fastest processor in the world. First launched with asus rog phone 3......so i guess you can say the fastest phone in the world right now is an android phone with the rog phone 3. This will probably be a shared position or overtaken for some time by other flagships like the latest samsung galaxy note, which is also slated to arrive with the sd 865+. Another contender for the top spot could also be the lenovo legion gaming phone when it is launched.
