@Seun my response was to the question, If you purchase a share and its value is always on the decline, is it worthy to dispose (sell) off the share? ALWAYS ON THE DECLINE.

In the stock market anything can happen and a company with good analysis can fail over night by mare factors as change in government policies. Truth be told, financial statements in Nigeria are not reliable and should not be the sole reason for analysing a company. There are companies that will never recover or at least raise above the share price during the IPO. Would you advise someone to hold on to such stocks?

The stock market to me is business, we are in business to make profit, personally if i make profit off a company' share that i own, i sell off, i donot wait or regret anything as the stock market is not and will never be predictable. I am not saying this should be a rule.

I do understand what you are saying and you have a point, but all i did was answer a question based on what has worked for me, the decision to sell or keep is his to make.

Sell. Never get emotional with your stock even if a stock is doing well, as long as you have made a little profit from it or the stock has appreciated in value, sell off and move to the next. Word of advise, when it comes to the stock market, no body is a Guru. We will keep learning.

The sad truth is that no stock will assure you of happy retirement over a long term period. The stock market has and will always have its twist and turns, many have fallen victims because of ill advise from so called stock gurus who are only interested in meeting the target as required by their companies and at the end of the day, their only interest is to get paid.

Before you take advise from a "stock Guru" ask him how much he has invested in the stock he wants you to buy. Also ask him how much the he has profited from it. The only advise i will give you that has worked for me is not to keep any stock for more than a period of 7 months. Start small, invest a little learn the trade because even the "stock Guru" knows nothing. When it comes to the stock market, what works for Mr A does not always work for Mr B. Though i have some stock picks that has and is still working for me but i am not here to give you stock picks. I am giving you advise that if you stick to, you will profit from and it will save you money.

The stock market is not real-estate, it does not always appreciate with time.

There is nothing to complain about the iphone except the battery issues with the 4gs, since i used my first iphone i have been addicted to it, it gives you power to do anything and above all there is an app for everything. To me its the maddest smart phone ever conceived by a human mind.
