As we wait for this year's issue to arrive, I'd like to say that Dog's World Magazine is put together by a team of dog lovers and owners in Nigeria.

Our aim is to promote responsible dog ownership, and we do this by making it easy for you to buy, own and maintain a dog. How do we do this? by giving you access to information that you need/want in an entertaining manner.

We received a flood of feedback from you which has led to a couple major changes. I am sure that you will notice the difference in layout and content between issue 12 and issue 13. I do hope that you will appreciate the visual impact of this issue.

Many dogs in Nigeria are treated badly (beaten, starved, locked up all day). It might not seem like a problem to you, but the first victims of dog bites are children NOT armed robbers.
Sending children to hospital is unacceptable. To protect our children, we need to teach them how to behave around dogs.
To protect our children, dogs need to be taught how to behave and this is the responsibility of the dog owner. Socialising our dogs is important but vaccinating our dogs especially against Rabies is our duty as dog owners or dog people. Too many children have been bitten, gone to hospital for treatment (including a tetanus jab) and then months later developed rabies and died.

There is no cure for Rabies. You can only prevent it. That includes vaccinating your dog against Rabies each year, and immediately getting anti-rabies treatment for the dog bite victim.
OUR AIM IS TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP.
Join our anti-rabies campaign by encouraging friends and family to read the magazine.
