What spot if I may ask?
It has been said over years ago visa laws will change and people are still coming in JUST like no matter how tall the wall is, it wont prevent mexicans from coming in.

It wont be to my favour? maybe next world. I am typing from the state(K1 Visa) with my 99cent pop

Save your advice for those who needs it. maybe when you had your interview back then saying You will return home after studies etc made it also difficult for others to tried enter because VO already heard such when you did your interview too

Well said...... Pls don't leave this thread ooo. Contribute positively when needed as God will continue to bless you.

If Nigeria as country has nothing good to offer, why don't you get off Nairaland then.
If the country is so bad, why run out to where things are easy.
FYI, you're as guilty as the "Nigerians" you keep mentioning in all your posts.
My candid advice to you is to consider my previous post where I quoted you and learn from it. I have been observing your comments for sometime and I was almost believing that you're either a grumpy person, a pessimist, a sadist or a hater. You don't speak like one who reads the bible like you claimed earlier. I even doubt if you're a Nigerian.
I just pointed the obvious to you. Henceforth, I'd ignore all your posts.

Let's try and ignore Twoods(Trump of Nairaland). Responding to his comments makes him feel relevant of which he's not. Who needs Twoods where we have LagosismyHome, Bigfrancis, Texrem and others. To me he's just a distraction and a hater who has no positive contribution to make. BTW, I'm very sure he has relatives in Nigeria, yet he makes blatant statements. Nonsense

Good morning house! Had my Visa interview this morning and was placed on AP. After tapping the keyboard for ages and telling me " just a minute" like a 100 times,The VO went thus " I will be keeping your passport but something is not coming up in my system so I will be placing you on Administrative process " asterisk "Administratover process " in the white paper and hand it to me. i will communicate to you through e mail on your status. No documents asked for both during and after the interview. So what are my chances. People around was telling congratulations. Please what should i do.

Congratulations.... Pls share ur transcript

The US consulate in Nigeria has a website that can be easily accessed through google. If you went there, you could read all the instructions on how to apply for a visa and what you need to bring with you to your interview. The time wasted asking "questions" here could easily have been utilized more effectively.

It is my summation that you are not a genuine student.

The time u use in criticizing is more than enough to just answer a simple question. The US consulate website did not state that applicants should come with Bank statements or passport photograph, yet they request for it at the embassy.
Sometimes try to soft pedal on some issues. If we know it all, nobody would be here posting transcripts (both approved and delayed). U have learnt alot here also, so don't be quick to judge.

His 38
Masters in project management
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology

Age has nothing to do with his visa denial. I've seen people in their 40's going for their master's and they were issued visas.

Is his present job related to the course he intends to study abroad?
Does he have ties with his home country? (Either by family or Job)

I have seen transcript with no standardised test given visa so i think its the overall body of work. How you respond to all the questions and then how your profile looks on your . Hope it a standard school not one man building

check previous transcript to see those who were given without any test . Although we have already recommended doing Test

Thanks......

My school is the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania and it's a grade A- University in the US. Taking the GRE or GMAT wouldn't have been a problem if my school had not given me options.

Good day sir,
I applied for 3 University and 2 gave me admission. The 2 skools that gave me admission required standardized tests but they gave me options of standardized test or work verification and a Case Study was sent to me online to answer and submit, which i did very well in the Case Study. My G.P.A is 4.2/5.0. I graduated 2011 and have been working since 2013. Will my not taking a standardized test be an issue? Ur response will be highly appreciated. My interview is next month.

If you're a true follow of this thread you would know that you don't have any standardized tests. It seems like someone got the admission for you. For grad students, a standardized test is GRE/GMAT and for undergrads, it's SAT. Your TOEFL is only a language proficiency test..... simply a language test and don't qualify as a standardized test. When asked next time, just say you don't have it or didn't required for admission. But but, that can still lead to denial. So the best is to take a standardized test.

Liberty University Lynchburg Virginia is not a red flag. It has a good ranking in the US. I'll advice you to go ahead. By the way, which session are you paying tuition deposit for?

To the glory of God, VISA approved this morning at Lagos consulate, I was interviewed by the guy in window 3, 7:00am... The guy is a born questionnaire
The interview was little bit long and though but God took control and crowned my effort

Vo: good morning
Me: morning sir
Vo: Why are you going to USA?
Me: I'm going for my MBA with a concentration in Management information systems at Lincoln University California
Vo: how do you know about this school?
Me: it was recommended to me by my dad's friend who's an alumnus of the school and doing wonderful well is his business, and I visited the school website where I found out its a good school for me.
Vo: How many schools do you apply to?
Me: 3 schools, LU, UCM and university of North Carolina and LU and UCM admitted me.
Vo: Why LU and not UCM?
Me: LU is a business oriented institution that provides necessary academic foundation for their students to be competent in their field, and it also has a student faculty of ration 20:1 which allows students to learn fast and also give them easy access to their professors.
Vo: why are you going for MBA?
Me: it will equip me with the required skills to manage my dad' business efficiently when I return to Nigeria
Vo: why MIS?
Me: can't even remember the answer I gave to this
Vo: how do you intend to apply the skills aquire from this program to your dad business?
Me: i didn't prepare for this, but with confidence I compose one big story about record keeping and workers interaction.
Vo: what application do you use for record in your dad company?
Me: Microsoft excel
Vo: what does your dad do?
Me: he's into Agriculture, livestock and crop production precisely
Vo: who's paying for your study?
Me: my brother, my dad's first son
Vo: what does he do?
Me:, he's a car dealer.

Na so he carry my passport for one side and bring out the white paper, at this point I don't even understand his Grammer again

Thanks to the pillars of this thread
Lagosismyhome
Texrem
Walespring and others

I wish other applicants nothing bus success.

Congratulations.... That same God will do it for all of us going for interview soon.

I am about using the eship service. The DHL option costs about 124usd while FedEx costs about 68usd and ups is somewhere around 98usd. do you think they all give the same service because I am about going for the cheapest. Thank you.

FedEx delivery takes 4-5 business days.
My I-20 was sent through FedEx on Tuesday last week and it will be delivered tomorrow according to the tracking information.

I'm about scheduling an appointment now and I'm seeing Nov 20 as first available appointment date..
Meanwhile yesterday night, I saw dec 4 as available date but couldn't schedule cos I have to wait for few hours before my Visa fee could be reflected..

So, there's still available date in Nov self, not to talk of Dec.

If not that am still waiting for my i20, would have booked for Nov 20..

Don't wanna Gamble cos I dunno maybe my i20 will get to me this Friday or not..

[Thanks]

Good morning house. I heard from a friend of mine that the entire December is already booked for appointment in the US consulate in Lagos. My I-20 was sent yesterday and I will receive it maybe by the weekend of early next week.
How long does it takes from receipt of I-20 to booking an appointment(i mean the entire process).
1.Do I still stand a chance of meeting up with December appointment?
2.Pls I need your guidance in what to do to expedite the process immediately I receive my I-20?
3.Is the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania a red flag?
