Christianity EtcAstral Travel And Reincarnation by Ertugrul(op): 11:02am On Apr 16, 2023
Hello guys, i am very fascinated with the concept of astral travel, i have done quite a lot of research and i can deduce that it is real, Reincarnation is another concept that intrigues me, the possibility of the soul or our consciousness recycling after the death of our physical body...
While i have no definte proof on the concept of soul and consciousness, i think that the ultimate proof is in astral projection, if really it is possible to project your consciousness out of your body, then is it not possible that your consciousness can still exist after death?
I think that If astral projection is real, then Reincarnation is very much possible

Poor me. I was so proud of myself that I can speak Igbo because I know most of the bad words.

Until I saw this thread. I could have bet my last kobo that KEDU means good morning, noon and night.

I know how to answer too: Kedukodi!
grin grin

Like someone made me know...

The good morning etc like ututu oma and whatnot are just transliteration of the language that in Igbo language there was nothing like ututu oma in greetings, what we have and still have are something like...

Ibooh or ibolachi/isalachi

Ibokwaa and the likes. These are mainly greetings for the morning trying to know if you slept well.

The for the rest of the day you will here...

Dejee/jokwaa, kee kwanu and the likes, this greetings are mainly translated as well done because by this time you are presumed to be working already especially in the farm. The greetings is just to boost your confidence to continue to work.

Then for the night you will here greetings like...

Kachifoo/ ka'obooh! And the likes, this are greetings mainly wishing you goodnight.

So in summary there is no greeting in Igbo language like good morning, good afternoon, or good evening the ones you are hearing like ututu oma are mainly transliteration of English language into Igbo.
I think isalachi is the most popular, the closest we have to a Centralized good morning greeting apart from ututu oma, i can say isalachi anywhere and the person will understand..

Igbos don't greet like Yorubas or Hausas...we have a lot of dialects. Our dialects first before centeral Igbo. I greet my people in my dialect and greet other Igbos good morning. grin
exactly thats why i open this thread, lots of yorubas live around me, and they all say Ekaaro, and sometimes i hear ekaaale....it dawned on me that if i see my fellow Igbo, i would most likely say good morning coz he or she will not understand my dialect greetings of good morning

Ututu ọma is not Igbo Language for morning greetings.

Ibonachi, ibokwala, unu ofokwele,
i agree it is mainly used in formal setting, like when we go to church or meeting, they say ututu oma umu chineke, anyasi oma

Or

I tete kwari ụra or ụtụtụ mara gi mma

that's how we say it in my side in Anambra

Igbo Language is very complex basically every state has numerous way of saying it
Infact even within same state there are different ways for saying it

One thing that's suprising Is how we all manage to understand it even at first time hearing .

Ya gaziere gị

Ọfọ ndụ na oganiru ka mụ na gwọrọ ụmụ Igbo niile

ise!
Wow thats awesome, i never knew people say ututu oma in an informal setting, its important to know that states are artificial, in all igbo states, there are different sub groups of igbos

Good morning in igbo language is ututu oma, but it is barely used in an informal setting, we favor our diverse dialects for good morning salutations....
I am Ngwa from Abia state, we salute with Mazi,
My mom is from Owerri, and they say Mbola chi...
So kindly share what your good morning salutations is in your igbo dialect

this is very sad but geo-political alliances are always open to tweaks depending on the greater situation of things, iran and Saudi Arabia are now putting their differences aside to re-establish diplomatic relationships..no matter the bad blood, it is strategic to work with whoever will protect your interest...igbos are natural born survivors yes, but we cannot afford to be bystanders in this Union, we must forge alliances to ensure our interest and people are protected...

The Only tribe we are wary of in the south is the Igbo.
you have to understand that the silence of yorubas regarding the herdsmen issue is not weakness, they united and pushed to create amotekun, the Fulanis weakened the amotekun with regulations , the yorubas keep silent because they want power, now they have it, they have played their games wisely...what they do with power now will determine the future of the country to a large extent

You won't see me fight for Buhari but igbos be it from hell or hellfire can not deny my right to support Bola Tinubu be it based of tribal sentiment or otherwise. There is a class or division of igbos financed to keep creating hate. This class as Ipob as a member n the Igbo elite are capable n financing it. That is why the likes of Iwanyawu will never speak against Kanu or Igbo plan to take over Lagos but when MC speak the foolish soul will quickly respond.

Selection a million Yoruba n ask if they like MC or will listen to MC Oluomo dictate to know how irrelevant he is to Yorubas as a tribe. Igbos won't want Kanu rethoric be associated as Igbo think tank but will argue proclaimmation by a nonentity like MC Oluomo is declaration on behalf of Yorubas
Is that not mischief.

because I support Tinubu I must support the foolish of MC simply he works with him ? Did Ipob not work for Pandoraa Obi can we then argue ipob objective is also Pandoraa Obi quest ? This is the only way to understand the foolishness of Igbo delusion.
Tallks like igbos wanting to take over Lagos is politically motivated, and if u still parrot such rhetoric , then this thread is simply not for you...when did ipob work for obi? Please this thread is not for you, kindly avoid it sir... this thread is not for spewing tantrums but critical thinking of the possibility of yorubas becoming the new superpower

Another important area for Tinubu that can present an obstacle to unity with igbos is the handling of ipob and MNK...
As an anti-ipob Igbo, i wouldn't want to see MNK released, he should only be released under strict compliance to whatever is agreed on...or better still, a house arrest and the ESN must be disbanded..
Another alternative if MNK does not bulk is for Tinubu to maintain the smart line Buhari uses ,. "let the judiciary decide" if Tinubu does this, he will need the full support of igbo elites and governors, politicians and co to enable the control of the narrative and wrestle away whatever little influence ipob has ..
This must be followed by massive media soft power, and potential talks of restructuring, renewed and reinvigorated federal interest in the SE... A cordial relationship between Obi and tinubu, all these would wrestle away ipob and their cohorts from their planned dominance of SE region...
In addition, the end of the Herdsmen threat would also nullify the need of ESN, coupled with the preparation of state policing...
Dealing with the Ipob and MNK situation would be very pivotal for uniting the two ethnicities

Nigerians will never support a renowned global criminal and drug chief to rule the most populous black country on earth.

Ur assertions are full of wisdom but ignorant people making up 99% of APC southwest will hate ur idea because they likened hate and tribalism as milk and honey .
They ( iyaebethegreat helinues sukkot ) would av love u if that alliance will be between Fulani and the enemy is igbos.
I really wish the Apc southwest will see reasons to this, u should also know that the rhetoric on nairaland and social media between igbos and yorubas does not fully represent what happens in real life, and some people on social media are not polite, some are not very smart, some are also paid by political actors, and these people are across every sides of the political spectrum

For the Middle Belt people whoose economy is very much dependent on federal allocation, they must be assured that the allocation will keep flowing untill the states can fund themselves sustainably

One important area Tinubu and Yorubas must avoid as an Achilles heel is the port issue...the port in Lagos has been pivotal for Lagos growth, it is understandable that some people might want to keep it that way and fear another port elsewhere will reduce the economic power of Lagos state...this is not true, another port elsewhere in Southern Nigeria will only stimulate new industries in the region , Lagos will remain unbeatable, it will always be number one in Nigeria, but with the help of Lagos , other areas in the South can have economic boost with a seaport..
I do not see any other reason that can prevent igbos and yorubas from uniting together
PoliticsRe: How The Yorubas (tinubu) Can Usher In A New Order by Ertugrul(op): 12:27pm On Apr 10, 2023
Tinubu must avoid the mistake of past southern leaders, if you totally ignore the south, another bloc of the core north will form an alliance with the other Southern people, and provide a formidable challenge... imagine this past election without a peter obi and with a united PDP, if peter obi and atiku alliance was continued, the PDP probably would have won the election...

I am a big fan of smart and strategic politicking, and therefore i applaud The president elect, he is a brilliant strategist and it has propelled him to power....
In the Quest for power, the yorubas have made an alliance with the fulanis, this is a smart political move, but with the changing geo-political situation in the country, the yorubas in power now can re-align the Nigerian system and become the new superpower...
This can be done by uniting the South, the artificial rivalry between the Yoruba and the igbos can be easily doused because the bad blood is politically motivated, in real life, the two ethnicities have so much in common and share similar strategic interest ..
The rest of the Southern ethnicities can fall in line if the yorubas and igbos unite, we all suffer from the lack of power devolution, we all have a hunger for restructuring, this can be a uniting factor...
Secondly, with the clamour of the middle belt to breakaway from the oppression of their overlords, it offers a golden opportunity for the yorubas and the South to rescue them and form an alliance, the incessant herdsmen attacks all over the country and the fear of expansionism, the bad blood of the invasions and demography change of middle-belt lands can be a factor that would push the middle-belr closer to the South under Yoruba rule..
The yorubas also have a religious advantage, the multi religious nature of the yorubas would be favourable to the middle belt, the Muslims and christain indeginous people of the middle belt would easily fall in line with the alliance, thereby eroding the soft power of their overlords..
A South Middle Belt alliance will be a gamechanger for the New Nigeria we all want...
A secular, progressive country, a country where no ethnicity would have the guts to think of expansionism..A country where we can all proudly call home...
Over to you Bola Tinubu and the Yorubas
