Ride On Op, the foolish people trying to paint this awakening on igbos are scared, the middle belt people will rise up , ride on, ride on |
Raheeqilmaktoom:there are no flaws on the purpose of this thread, the main point is the middle belt people of northern Nigeria will determine the fate of this country...it is simple facts, i would admit i do not fully understand the state of the relationship between the hausa and Fulani currently..my other points remain valid, a new order will emerge in this country someday or the current order will be consolidated, whichever way the pendulum swings, the middle belt people will be pivotal... |
Raheeqilmaktoom:please no need to quote me again, we do not need to argue coz i must admit u are more knowledgeable than i am in terms of happenings in your area...i really do appreciate your contributions to this thread...all the best boss |
Raheeqilmaktoom:if you do not think that it is statecraft to limit education for people u conquered, then u do not know strategy.i am not saying this is something happening now as a plan but at some point in the past it was, whatever is happening now to redeem the suppression done in the past should be accelerated...this is just basic... |
And yes there is also the possibility of me being shortsighted in my analysis, that is why i did not say anything deep, just basic stuffs |
Raheeqilmaktoom:all i have said is very basic and demands common sense to comprehend, is it propaganda that ur region has the lowest level of education? Is it not also statecraft from some of your elites to keep it that way? I do not speak out of ignorance, it is just common sense that with more illetracy comes the risk of manipulation which may not be in your favor... For example, in my region, due to rising illetracy, some people have been brainwashed to seek secession at all cost...this is common sense... common sense should also let u know that with more education amongst ur conquered folks, they will ask more questions, its now good management that will ensure the status quo is kept... |
jumper524:you are very wrong, there is no hegemony in the South, the yorubas are the largest, igbos second, then all other ethnicities are there, there is no discrepancies, the creation of states and collapse of the Igbo led eastern government ended that narrative... As a middle belt person, you are in the middle of a power tussle, you cannot stand on your own because your region is too diverse to come together, you must lean on any of the power blocs, u must choose the lesser of the evils wisely, if you as a person choose to maintain the status quo, so be it... I'm sure the gbagyi people in nassrawa may have a different opinion, and if the majority is swayed, u have no other option... A new Nigeria will emerge someday, the direction the middle belt tilts towards will determine the fate of a new order |
Raheeqilmaktoom:but in reality it should matter, your people have to make swift changes....i wouldn't want to advise you but keeping the main people u conquered uneducated is no longer a viable means of consolidating ur power, u must accept that u can no longer have 100 percent control, you must share power with The H people , the Same way u manipulate them due to lack of education, it will only take smart propaganda to turn a faction of them against you...this is the reality coming... I already see in parts of the NW where the H and F people are locked in bitter feuds, the more poor and uneducated they are, the more likely they are to be prone to manipulation, one day they will rise up to demand more equity |
Raheeqilmaktoom:that is the truth, for new overlords, but new lords who will not gnaw on their lands and who have no past history or acrimony, with your last statement, power will change hands someday and we will be ready, we are too big to be not play a bigger role in this union... If your people are lucky to consolidate and retain power and keep expanding, so be it, that is the dynamics of life and geopolitics, you just never know what the future holds |
BentizilL:please this thread is not for spewing stale campaign rhetoric |
Raheeqilmaktoom:bro read very well, i said u have made "unbiased" contributions which i appreciate, it is people like you that can "reinvent"your ethnicity, you are very knowledgeable, i appreciate you boss |
Raheeqilmaktoom:why then do you make unbiased contributions to this thread, it is people like you that can reinvent your ethnicity , expansion in this modern age will backfire, domination in this modern age will back fire especially in a union with other powers in the waiting |
Raheeqilmaktoom:no, it is common sense, for the areas that diversity is well managed, it still doesn't mean the indeginous people who have little say are 100 percent happy, they have only found a compromise, a new power and order which presents them a better deal will most certainly tempt them away from their current overlords |
PAWG:. Yes i agree 100 percent, that is why i advocate for igbos to apologize to some SS people for the marginalization during the Biafra war, so we can chart a new course... |
Raheeqilmaktoom:please what is your ethnicity? It is also important to note that the people u mentioned are keen or holding unto power and expanding because of the history of how they became the major force in the region |
Raheeqilmaktoom:that is a good point you have made, self preservation will trump whatever association the core north has with other ethnicities, thanks to the current administration , these old wounds have been reopened |
jumper524:from Abuja, i guess you are gbagyi, while i respect your views, if self preservation is not an issue to you, your kin in other states will want to preserve their identity, and thus will always avail an opportunity to renegotiate the status quo... |
PAWG:the north is not homogeneous, there are lots of minorities who have been lumped with the dominant people there. |
BentizilL:never, the yorubas will recover kwara ,that is a must it will only take a reshaping of the order in this country , |
PAWG:the minorities of Kaduna and bauchi are included, that is why the post did not say North Central.. |
Raheeqilmaktoom:while the tact of of your people to hold on power is commendable from a statecraft point of view, that power is shaky, every empire and order that is not well consolidated will collapse one day, you are in a union of people who will see to that, as long as democracy perseveres in Nigeria, anything is possible |
jumper524:. What are your views regarding your region, I also understand a person from kogi or Benue may have less sympathy to the plight of Nok and other minorities up North.. |
frank14011991:I see |
madscientist88:very true, it is the richest region in Nigeria if properly harnessed |
EastAlchemist:Sure |
Iamgrey5:you should understand the heterogeneity of this region and dont expect every ethnicity to vote in same pattern irrespective of religion, and u also add rigging to the mix, this makes analysis election data harder...but from popular opinion, people in this region are tired of their overlords.. The yorubas in kogi belong to SW, there's no reason for them to be in middle belt, same way the yorubas in kwara belong to the rest of their people, Nigerian state maps must be redrawn to ensure cohesion, we cannot forgo our ethnic identity because of Nigeria, Nigeria can only thrive when the various ethnicities have self preservation and see a path of growth and development, this in turn ensures the Nigerian identity can coexist side by side with our various original identity |
Penguin2:please do not abuse them, i hope the SW people will see reasons to this and know that despite the divisise campaign politics, our interest in the South are aligned |
EastAlchemist:It is a good sign nonetheless, look at LP performance in the region despite the rigging, this is something that can be harnessed, there is also the South Middle Belt forum, if only this momentum can be sustained |
Many Middle Belt people will be a little worried about resource control, given the fact that the South is the economic powerhouse of the country, this is where negotiations come in, the economy of the region will continue to be funded till they can be independent...once this is solved, i do not see any reason why the middle belt should not ally with south, for restructuring, for redrawing of maps, the states of the country should be redrawn, people of similar ethnicities should be together, for cohesion...all the middle belt ethnicities will be together in different states, the core north with their own states and leave other people alone, ethnic cohesion is key to Nigeria's growth and development |
The Middle Belt Region is the soul of Nigeria, largest Landmass and Population, it is time for the middle belt to wake up, the different ethnicities unite irrespective of religion, take back your lands, preserve your culture, no more domination, ally with the South, ally with the south
|
It is with Joy in my heart as i see the middle belt people of indeginous Northern Nigeria rising up to preserve their identity and breakaway from the domination of you know who...this will signal a new dawn and a change in order if this momentum is to continue, to my dear people of middle belt, ur invaders do not care about your religion as they continue to expand, an alliance with the South is your best bet, we must come together and reshape the Nigerian order... A New Nigeria is Possible with a South/Middle Belt alliance, i do not sincerely believe that The SW will abandon the rest of the south and MB to ally with the other people... We move |
AnyanwuSilas:. What do you mean by this? Please do not stir up bigotry in this thread... |
