if u are totally new to programming, u may want to learn python, ruby or perl first. But again, nothing stops u from learning c or cplusplus as ur first language. There have been novices who did dis. Its depends largely on ur person(personality). Learning c or cpp will enhance ur knowledge of memory (let me not bore u), will make u learn other languages faster.i also advice dat u start wit cpp.

it depends on hw free u are going to be within d five months. Even at that, u cant become an advanced programmer within 5 months, especially if u are new to programming.

Dats the book am using. I can tell that its one of the best. One thing you have to realise is that c++ is a big language and its pretty complex due to its low level stuffs. It may take u many months to be comfortable with d language. Bt if u dont want to continue with d book, try c++ primer. If u want to go visual programming, try visual c++ 2010 by ivor ... Cant remember his other name.

Integer 45678/10000 = 4 and 45678 mod 10000 = 5678.
Integer 5678/1000 = 5 and 5678 mod 1000 = 678.
Integer 678/100 = 6 and 678 mod 100 = 78
Integer 78/10 = 7 and 78 mod 10 = 8.


Now if you have variable length input digit, then you can, as someone suggested, using the String length function, figure out the length of the integer passed in, and then compute the power of 10 to work from.

The only obstacle to Inter going through was AGE. After Inter scored and the game was entering the dying minutes, i became jittery because i knew the implication of going into extra time with old players. With all due respect to OM, Inter could have buried the game in the first half.
