Have you wondered why the chairman of Amuwo is ADEWALE Ayodele Adebowale, the chairman of Ojo is DUROSINMI Murisiku Adeyinka and the chairman of Ajeromi is BAYEWU Kamal Ayinde.

Now tell him...does these names sound like Chineke, Chukwu or Amadioha to you or the names of the LGA sounds like Abia, Ndubisis or Nkemba to you

KIRIJI: What has stopped you from producing the Local chairmen in these areas if indeed the ibos have the largest population therein

The answer is pretty simple:

Political apathy on the part of the Ibos and other non-Yoruba ethnicity.

Another reason is that those of them who demonstrate interest in the political process would rather travel to their state of origin during electioneering periods to vote.

However, the impetus and audacity of this man Bob Okoroji might just alter the status quo.

At the end of the day, Bob Okoroji might not become the next governor of Lagos state.

Instead, he would have given impetus to other non-Yorubas to vie for gubernatorial positiion. Just like Jesse Jackson paved the way for the likes of Colin Powell and Barack Obama.

@saxywale: My brother, please, don't be misled to believe that all the people you encounter on the street of Lagos who speak Yoruba or dress in the Yoruba traditional attire are actually Yoruba. Lol.

The population of the Ibos - as a single ethnic group - as being 70%, might have been grossly exaggerated.

However, if the population of the Ibos in Lagos is combined with the population of the other non-Yoruba ethnic nationals, I'm sure it far outnumbers our Yoruba brothers.

Now, imagine if this man, Bob Okoroji works so hard to win the support of the "Omo Ibos" (that is, the Ibos and the other ethnic groups that are not Hausa, or Yoruba), what a rude shock it would be to those making mockery of his ambition.

Hi. I have this 2001 Honda Civic. I noticed that it guzzles a lot of fuel. I diagnosed it and discovered that the catalyst converter had been tampered with.

My mechanic suggested that in lieu of replacing it - as this would come at a huge cost - that I should get a panel beater to contrap an alternative solution.

What I need to know is, would this contraption by the panel beater solve the overly high fuel consumption by my car?

However, my brother thought this alternative solution would do more harm to the vehicle.

Only if the Nigerian film industry would just understand that Nollywood would never attain the global respect and recognition it craves for if it continues doing the "Upper Iweka" and "Idumota" type movies.

Nollywood would never get an Academy Award nomination if we keep showcasing a pseudo-western lifestyle in our movies.

What the world desire to see from us are activities that are uniquely ours. Which is why I think this Ojuju movie can achieve. The environment I see being potrayed in the trailer is what global audiences would wants to see.
