AutoReportNG: I wish I can write a detailed reply on this.... Having stay close to where they sell caskets at Lagos Island, I think OP knows little on how this works... For the records, Dino is not the owner of this so called RR... The coffin bearer owns and manage the car... All Dino and his family need to know is select from their list of cars and they will pay for their services.
Maybe you need to come to CMS and see an array of these type of cars Bro, you might be shocked that even Dino might not be aware that the RR is fake. These Funeral companies charge a fortune for their services. What stops them from importing even a salvaged RR to use for their business? I hope Dino doesn't pay them their complete balance. |

allsaint2000: .
I had to go back to read up the post to find where the OP suggested that the Rolls Royce belongs to Dino. I could not find it. Autojosh did well in clarifying that the car is not a real Rolls Royce, because many people might actually go to town screaming that Dino used a Rolls Royce for his mother's burial. Autojosh is doing well in informing and educating us about cars. If you feel you know more about cars than him, the sky is wide enough for as many birds to fly. By the way, I learnt a lot about Rolls Royce from this particular post.

KingAzubuike: Its not that the government can't provide these for Nigerians , they can but the problem is the citizens. Within few days they will destroy it and sell what is sellable. The only place such a luxury can do well, survive and last is in Ndigbo. If I happens to be located in the other side of the map where harvesting of sk**ls is on an all time high just forget it. Look closer sir. The first picture and about 2 others are bus stops in Lagos. |

Politics › Re: Lateef Jakande: His 7 Notable Achievements In The Transport Sector In Lagos(pix) by Esejojo: 12:03am On May 14, 2019 |
idealogical: Lagos wasn't generating anything significant under Jakande, he sourced loans for most of his projects, even the Lagos metro was french loan gone bad that Lagos is probably still paying for.
Tinubu engineered whatever huge IGR Lagos state is pulling in today, Fashola and Ambode's accomplishments transpired because of Tinubu's IGR vision.
Jakande started with makeshift shed public schools, but today, his successors improved on that by building model schools with better facilities.
Jakande built his estates, but his successors built more and even better estates
The metro rail project was Jakande's vision, but 30 years later, his successors picked it up and the project is almost completed.
Lagos state is a unique state because it's blessed with talented and competent administrators with a great sense of duty and continuity, unlike states like Rivers state with a low mentality governor where past governor's projects are not the current governor's concern to complete or pay attention to.
Lagos state governors are all achievers in their own ways, stop comparing. I hope you realize that all Jakande's achievements were achieved within 4 years. Meanwhikw, His succesoors since 1999 have been building a metroline for almost 20 years. |

Politics › Timipre Sylva: Did Keyamo And Buhari Really Fight Corruption In This Case? by Esejojo(op): 5:08pm On Feb 08, 2019 |
Below is a 2016 article. It is a report of how Festus Keyamo was ordered by Buhari to stop the prosecution of a corruption case. Keyamo was the prosecuting Lawyer. He was representing EFCC in the corruption case against Timipre Sylva – the former Governor of Bayelsa, and an APC Chieftain. At the end of the day, the EFCC returned 22 houses seized during the administration of former president, Goodluck Jonathan in 2013 to Timipre Sylva. Buhari has fought some anti-corruption battles. But clearly, he and Festus Keyamo let this particular one go on party sentiments. Read the report below. Keyamo Withdraws From Sylva's Case Based On GMB's Order [b]Popular human rights lawyer, Festus Keyemo, has without any concrete reason withdrawn as the prosecution counsel in the corruption case leveled against the former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Keyamo, an All Progressives Congress chieftain just like Sylva, said he was stepping down as the lead prosecutor due to the "recent developments which could hinder him from prosecuting the case effectively and vigorously." In a letter made available to journalists, Keyamo said: “Kindly recall that sometime in 2012, the Commission briefed my Chambers to prosecute Charge No. FHC/ABJ/CR/23/2012; Between: The Federal Republic Of Nigeria V. Timipre Sylva, he wrote in a letter to the EFCC. “Since then, we have diligently prosecuted the Charge and successfully opposed the bid of the accused person to quash the Charge in limine. The court ruled in our favour for the trial to commence and the Court of Appeal also refused to stay proceedings in the trial. “However, certain recent developments (in respect of which I would prefer not to elaborate) have necessitated my decision to withdraw from further prosecution of the said Charge. This is because these recent developments may hamper my effective, efficient and vigorous prosecution of the Charge, duties that are expected of every prosecutor.” Meanwhile, an inside source in the APC, who spoke to Breaking Times on condition of anonymity, disclosed that it was the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, who ordered Keyamo to stay off the case. Sylva is the chairman of the Buhari May 29 transition committee and Keyamo is believed to be a confidant of Buhari on legal matters. According to the source, with Keyamo’s involvement in the case as prosecuting counsel, Sylva would not escape conviction. “Timipre actually begged Buhari to soften the grounds for him as his conviction would do more damage that Buhari will not recover from,” the source added. Sylva's trial had been fixed for Monday. He was docked alongside his co-accused in July 2014, for using three companies to siphon funds from Bayelsa state treasury between 2009 and 2012. The companies are Marlin Maritime Limited, Eat Catering Services Limited, and Haloween-Blue Construction and Logistics Limited.
