Am writting this little piece just to enlighten each other on what domestic violence means, causes of domestic violence and its effect on the family. Any one who is a victim of domestic abuse or violence should learn to SPEK OUT AND NOT DIE IN SILENCE. beacuse the next time you are going to get abused might be the last time you would ever live on earth. SPEAK OUT, SHARE YOUR PAIN,MOVE OUT OF THAT HORRIBLE RELATIONSHIP THAT IS ABOUT COSTING YOU YOUR LIFE. DONT STAY IN SUCH MARRIAGE BECAUSE OF YOUR CHIDREN BECAUSE YOU MIGHT END UP NOT WITNESSING THEM GROW IF YOU DONT SPEAK OUT.

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Women seems to be at the receiving end when it comes to domestic violence in Nigeria, africa and all over the world. it could be triggered by the slightest provocation by your partner but no matter what i do not support physical abuse no matter how provoked you maybe by the actions of your spouse.

Domestic violence may start when one partner feels the need to control and dominate the other. Abusers may feel this need to control their partner because of low self-esteem, extreme jealousy, difficulties in regulating anger and other strong emotions, or when they feel inferior to the other partner in education and socioeconomic background. Some men with very traditional beliefs may think they have the right to control women, and that women aren’t equal to men.

This domination then takes the form of emotional, physical or sexual abuse. Studies suggest that violent behavior often is caused by an interaction of situational and individual factors. That means that abusers learn violent behavior from their family, people in their community and other cultural influences as they grow up. They may have seen violence often or they may have been victims themselves.

Children who witness or are the victims of violence may learn to believe that violence is a reasonable way to resolve conflict between people. Boys who learn that women are not to be valued or respected and who see violence directed against women are more likely to abuse women when they grow up. Girls who witness domestic violence in their families of origin are more likely to be victimized by their own husbands.

Alcohol and other chemical substances may contribute to violent behavior. A drunk or high person will be less likely to control his or her violent impulses.

WARNING SIGNS TO KNOW WHEN A FRIEND IS BENG DOMESTICALLY ABUSED:

Warning signs for individuals to consider if they suspect they are the victim of intimate partner violence include feeling demeaned, assaulted, or excessively controlled by their partner.

Warning signs friends, family members, and coworkers can look for if they wonder whether the person they care about is the victim of domestic abuse include frequent absences from school or work, numerous injuries the victim tries to explain, low self-esteem, a change in their personality, fear of conflicts, passive-aggressive behavior, blaming him- or herself, isolation from others, or stress-related physical symptoms.


No matter what dont lay your hands or physically abuse a woman. simply walk out,reject her food, refuse sharing same bed with her.. but if this isnt working after several efforts simply move on with your life. Women could be very sausy and rude sometimes but always remember they are the weaker sex and should be treated with caution and love.

jesus died when he has fulfilled his assignment on earth.. we were told so and saw it in the holy book because God who is the all knowing knows jesus has fulfilled his assignment on earth.. How do you know if and when someone has fulfilled his or her assignment on earth.. have you got the power to foresee or to know what assignment that has been apportioned or ascribed to each and everyone of us..as well as when it would be fulfilled.
There would always be a situation surrounding the death of every each and everyone of us.. so ignorance is just one of it or part of the circumstance..
