Can someone please reply me ? Hello everyone, I am new to the U.S. visa thread and I have gone through some parts of the thread as well. Guys I really need your help to answer all my questions . It’s somehow complicated, so I will give some background details I currently live in Germany, had my bachelors degree in German language in Nigeria and studying M.A intercultural communication( would be done in July hopefully) So I got admitted and was given a funding of 18,500 for a masters program in German studies. Tuition fee of 20k was waived. The issue is I have a fiancé in Nigeria and I would love that we apply together, which means I have to come to Nigeria, get married so we apply together from Nigeria as well. Guys would you advise, I apply from here while he applies for a dependent visa after I must have gotten my visa. I read there is an issue with appointment dates . How much POF would he need, my school said I don’t need any. I am unmarried now, will this affect my applications in any way since the school is dealing with me as a single person. Also at the point of visa interview, will this affect me? Because I will have the court wedding few days/ weeks to the wedding since I filled the form as single. Note , I can’t afford coming earlier, I can only fly home once. Please guys help me by responding .
|

Anyone who has written TOEFL, I need practice materials am still in between doing TOEFL/IELTS and I don't really have much time. Pls help. |
When I was doing my research about English tests, this was one important information I found [b]There are three versions of the EFSET: a 15-minute test ("EFSET Quick English Check" ![]() Pls can we talk further privately? I still don't fully understand this naira land completely yet? |
IELTS takes 13 days. Well, whether it's part of the school's requirements or not, the embassy. I submitted EF set English test I did online already. You don't think that would fly? |
Huh Why will dey decide to ask for English. I don't even understand, everyone is confused as well. My German proficiency certificates have been submitted alongside other documents. |
The embassy won't ask for it if it's not part of your school's requirements. Its not part of the requirements, I have checked thoroughly. In how many weeks did your get your IELTS result? |

It was a full admission there were no conditions whatsoever |

Is C1 in TOEFL that easy to get? And considering the fact that I have to wait for like two weeks for the result again. Its not for enrollment, its just for my AM. |
Thegamingorca:[quote author=chy73 post=824890Meanwhile if that is what embassy asked for, go and do it before they will start ignoring your mails amd dump your file aside for not doing the needful. Note: It has happened to a friend, he later checked and saw it was his school's requirement. He did it and got his AM. [/quote Thanks for your response, but am actually surprised, if I didn't meet up with the school requirements, why did they offer me the admission in the first place. |
Hi everyone have been following this thread for quite some time, this is actually a long read but I need help as much as I can get. I have an issue I want people here to please help me with. I studied German language in Nigeria here and am going for a masters program in Intercultural Germanistik at Uni Bayreuth. I had my interview on 14th of August. On the 4th week of my interview I received a mail that they are currently working on my visa application and I should submit a confirmation of blocked account and proof of English C1 and that's where the issue started, I got a English proficiency letter from my school and sent it alongside blocking confirmation and I got another mail that they need a certificate like TOEFL. First of all, am not going for an English taught course, my course its entirely taught in German, I sent them a mail too to reiterate this as well. Sincerely I don't want to write TOEFL cos of the money involved and the extra weeks I v to wait for result and then of course am not sure I would be attain C1. I was advised to do an English online test Efset, and I passed well and I have submitted. I still dont lnow whether they will accept it or not. Pls you all advise me, anyone got this experience, what did you do? |
