I hope your OS is not pirated if its please don't update anything, if not kindly check your settings---change pc settings-----windows update-----choose how update get installed and make sure its on installed update automatically

Hello please my laptop screen keeps flickering when I'm turning down brightness. I've tried moving the lid and I've noticed its not movement related. Also when I plug it to charge it stops. Please help it's a new laptop.

Hello house. My Asus laptop just go into sleep mode on its own. What could be the fault. And if I plug in my charger, the screen dims black and brightens again.

My advice is never buy a system with that kind of fault you might end up spending more than required.

sir I need ur advice on this I want to get a system with full knowledge that the charging port is faulty though it works perfectly well with the battery. the battery could be charged in another system and it will work in that system bt I have heard issues where charging problem involves changing the motherboard completely so my question is can I go for such system considering my financial strength?

can you open your system to located the motherboard?

First your need to clear your BIOS password kindly remove the CMOS battery and locate The jumper its often labeled CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, JCMOS1, CLR, CLRPWD, PASSWD, PASSWORD, PSWD or PWD on your motherboard. To clear, remove the jumper from the two pins currently covered, and place it over the two remaining jumpers.Some computers may also clear the password by keeping the jumper open (one or no pins covered).

Then you can carry out your OS repair if still the repair dont work you have to start a fresh installation.

The laptop is working fine on desktop mode, that is, I can only use it when battery is out and it's plugged to light

well i believe it should work you are only extending the port so it should work.

Oh there was a mistake in the question I asked. What I meant was; I have a system that I can't connect the hard disk to it using the default port due to damage in the flex. Now, my question is, can I purchase an external adapter to connect the hard disk to the system? Will I be able to install windows on it even though it's connected as external.

You can install using a flash drive just make the flash bootable you can use a thirty party software like wintoflash to achieve that

Well first you should have checked the power rating before you insert that charger in your laptop,remove the battery and charger hold the power button for about 30sec after which you should insert the battery and charger and see what happens.

After all if no positive result then the laptop need to get to a technician for check.

First you need to get your charger and battery checked.

As regards your mouse slow performance when charging your battery remove the battery and use charger to power and check if its still the same thing.

You need to get an external hard drive enclosure insert the hard drive from your pc into it then use usb connector from the enclosure and connect to another pc then access your files.

First open the HDD location and check if its properly afixed upon confirmation and all is well and you still get the same error.

Check for any hard drive noise as there are possiblities of damaged sector if the system was hit against any hard surface if no noise please proceed to slave your HDD and take out all your files. Then you can install your OS.

If you don't slave that hard drive to take out your files before OS installation your files will be lost.

Im using Hp elitebook 8470p, recently my charger stops working just like that, I ran to a store to get either a 'follow come' or a 'new one'. The problem is whatever charger we use the battery would just states: plugged in, charing. But the battery wont add any percentage from its initial 10%, it just stucked there. I thought is the battery buh later removed the battery and use another system to charge it and it worked. Pls what could might be the problem? Is it the IC If so, Howmuch will that cost me?
