Hmmm from what you have said this only happens when the battery is in use but when it's plugged to power with no battery it works fine right?

Did the technician check for any overheating issue?

you have also replaced the battery with a follow come right?

please do a quick check on the windows event viewer and see if there are error code paste code here please. This might be a power management issue

Makschinchin:
Please o, what do you mean by AMD processor??

The thing is this..

My laptop was working very fine before it turned off one day due to power surge/current. At that point, the battery on my system began to read not detected and if I plug in to light without battery it works fine.

I taught it was only a battery error , so I tried getting a new battery.. But then I noticed the system couldn't charge up all the batteries I tried. The seller told me to see a technician to work on the board, probably a faulty charging IC.

I took it for repairs and the technician told me I'll get a new battery first so that he can use it to work on it. He charged me for an original battery and brought one which he used to work on the system.. After the job was done, I tested it, the system was charging up the battery and I felt okay..

But when I got back home, i charged the battery to full capacity. I tried the system without plugging to light, just using the battery, only for it to suddenly shut down after about 30mins.. I turned it on again only for it to shut down suddenly again within 20mins without any warning..

I talked to the technician about it and he told me to bring it back for him to check.. I went back to him, he observed it, applied thermal paste turned it back on but noticed the system still shuts down abruptly after some minutes. He took out the battery and went ahead to change it.. The first one he brought also shut down after some minutes. The second one he brought didn't work on the system.

So he brought a third one. I tried using it there and it worked for about 45 minutes before turning off (while i still had about 50℅ battery life left). Tried turning it on at his office but it wouldn't come up, so we plugged it into light to charge (he said it was a new battery and needed to charge to full before usage). Since time was far spent and Lagos traffic is unbearable, I decided to take it home to complete the charging.

I took it home, completed the charging, plugged it out of light and used it again only for it to still shut down after about 30mins.. I immediately turned it on again and it went off after 10 mins. I turned it on again and it shut down after 20-30 mins..

Please gurus in the house help me out, could it be from the system or the battery itself?? I have attached a picture of the battery (5200mAh) he sold to me at original price. Please help me check if its an original replacement battery because he charged me for an original battery price more than the regular market price.. Could the fault be from the system or the battery??

Sorry for the long epistle, I just had to bare it all to seek advice from you guys.. Thanks for your anticipated responses

The scan shows you have issue with the windows-component based servicing logs (CBS) and the scan could not fix it you can do this manually.

1. To go services stop windows update service.
2. Make sure you login as administrator then go to location C:\windows\logs\CBS\CBS.logs
3. then delete the CBS logs you have there
4. start windows update service
5. restart your system

andresia:

Did that now, bro. Issue persists, still unable to install or launch applications

Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 7:03pm On Jun 16, 2019

Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 8:53pm On Jun 15, 2019
There might be some windows System file that are corrupt run SFC to fix errors.

1. Open CMD as administrator
2. Type sfc /scannow and hit enter allow the process to finish.

Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 3:11pm On Jun 15, 2019
Quick one is your battery icon marked x if not try another Charger and see if that works.

Your charging port might be a suspect in this.

Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 10:28am On Jun 15, 2019
I hope its not AMD prcessor you have, well what you described here are strong symptoms of over heating.

Your system should have been alerting you about this tho first discontinue the use so as not to damage your mother baord.

Get a technician to check your system please.

Makschinchin:

Please check for OS update. that is another possible cause since you have tried the re-login to app store.

I did this earlier but didn't work.

Hmmm somehow your RAM is restricted well do the following.

1.Run CMD as an administrator
2.execute the command msconfig. This will open System Configuration.
3.Click on the Boot tab and then Advanced options. 4.The box Maximum memory should be unchecked to allow using the maximum installed memory

Restart your system and check.

He might probably need to move the CMOS jumper to clear the password.

Ok fine do a quick reset on your bios.

1. Open your system

2. Remove the cmos battery for about 15-30 mins and then put it back.

This should clear your bios password word from there you can carry on to Windows.

obizzy:
yes i used a password.
It won't let me perform the function. Its blinking, when I try, it goes back to that page.

The lens of your CD ROM is possibly weak as a result of that your CD ROM will be selecting CD based on the quality of production of the CD.

Kudos for your enlightenment.
Pls the CD ROM of d 3 desktops in my workplace recognised the HP CD when I tried to install d printer software. Meanwhile, they did not recognise another CD. For instance, I wanted to format one of d systems with Windows 7 OS but it did not recognise it. I inserted other CD. same thing.

Kindly enlighten me on d cause of that.

Thanks.

Please guys when i try to boot my system it shows this. What could be the issue?
Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 9:05am On May 31, 2019
Type Run in windows search then type sysdm.cpl and press ENTER. Click the Advanced tab then click the Settings button under 'Startup and Recovery' (as opposed to the other two Settings buttons on that tab). Uncheck Automatically restart.

If your system still reboots, your CMOS battery might be weak get it changed.

I believe the dongle should be compatible with your OS have you tried all the USB port on your system if yes and the problem is still the same you might want to get the dongle replaced from where you got it from.

Esji80:
Good morning, I rcently bought a bluetooth dongle for my desktop PC with Window 7.

After installing it , and the drivers. It cannot discover devices and it is not discoverable by other Bluetooth devices.

I have enabled/checked the 'Allow devices to discover this device' option from the Bluetooth settings..

If have also tried the Bluetooth dongle in another laptop with window 8 same problem exist.

If you using installation CD try another one because a corrupt sector of your installation file might make the installation go to a stand still.

your keyboard needs to be serviced but if the condition is more than servicing you might need to replace the keyboard.

Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 2:09pm On May 23, 2019
First know that this is not officially supported, you will have to install a replacement bios for your chromebook( Basically its a UEFI firmware which is the modem replacement to the traditional bios)this will allow you boot and install windows.

However not all version of chromebook support this so its a 50-50 thing please share your version and spec then we can go from there.
